Chapter 191 - Story 9 The Longest Short Bus. Chapter 68

When you had the local god king's son and yourself being said local god kings son sorta. It opened up all kinds of doors and soon enough, I had all the support and openings I needed to begin the process of making the bottom fifth of the Halo Ring that would have it's own stable eco system.

And with access to the moon's of Jupiter and the asteroid fields, I didn't have any issues with recources seeing as I wized up and used spatially bound drones that had vat cloned brains in them to 'operate' them.

And said drones were able to get all the resources needed to make the bottom fifth of the much smaller Halo Ring I was working on.

"twenty two days... The Mechanicus are saying you are the true born son of the Omnissiah with your actions in creating this installation." Captain Grimmaldus of the Imperial Fists spoke as he climbed up the snow covered landing I was sitting on as I stare out into the distance.

Said distance being the micro specs of my countless thousands of drones working as quickly as they could to continue building the Halo Ring.

"I was reborn with the Emperor's Grace with a hand to shape flesh, to shape living organisms into new and wonderful forms. But before this new life... He already blessed me with a mind filled with the wonders of the Dark Age of Technology."

There was a pause before I gave an empty smile and asked quietly. "Tell me captain... How does this Halo Ring, my Redemption match up to the Imperial Fist's Phalanx?"

The Imperial Fist gave a heavy hum before he said bluntly. "The Phalanx is still larger then this construct, but the actual breathing atmosphere this has would make it a perfect traveling Monastery world for any Astartes chapter."

Captain Grimmaldus actually said with some warning and something approaching amuesment for an Imperial Fist. "The legions who live on the outskirts of the Galaxy especially would greatly desire this facility... To be able to raise their own possible aspirants in a harsh enviroment would allow them to expand their operations in time."

My mind went to the Carcharodons legion and I nodded as they would indeed love such a 'ship' especially if I made most of the Halo Ring's topography oceans or some nonsense so they could stock the oceans with great and terrible sea monsters.

"You are not wrong Captain." I said softly as I held up a hand towards where I knew Terra was as I could feel the Warp roiling as though in anticipation lately. No I knew that something big was going to happen. But was it happening now? In the past or even the future was the question.

As with the Warp you could never be sure obviously.

Still I hummed in thought as my transponder bleeped as a priority message was sent to me from my 'brother' which contained my marching orders with myself needing to go to 'Luna' or specially Terra's moon to meet with my minders.

Sure my minders were phrased as my honor guard, but said honor guard was an elite strike force consisting of Custodians, and some of the best in the Ultra Marines, Imperial Fists... And most importantly a contingent of Sister's of Silence.

I had only been a Pysker for a couple of months now, and those walking souless fucking bald 'gingers' were an instant migrain whenever they came close to me.

"Well... I suppose it's time for me to get going to meet my eldest brother." I spoke more to myself with Captain Grimmaldus following me silently as I worked all my tech magic to make sure the Slipspace Drive installed into the Halo Ring's deepest depths.

Was actually work, so that IF I managed to come out of the Warp travel to meet with my eldest brother in Lionel El Johnson. I wouldn't leave the Halo Ring behind, unfinished and allowing the Mechanicus to take it over the moment I looked away.

I mostly ignored the pomp and ceremony as I loaded up into a fucking massive warship. But I also coudn't help a wry smile as I noticed the fleet of ships that were also coming with us as well.

'If I spent the extra month or two on that Shrine world creating a dozen other ships that were also loaded down and filled with weapons of mass destruction. Would I have been able to fuck over the Word Bearers without getting played?' I mused to myself.

As it was the fucking Changling to be fair... That bastard not only was able to sneak a bunch of Nurglings onto Khorn's throne to make a mess when the god sat back down. He literally snuck into the Council of Nikea with all the Primarchs and even the God Emperor being there.

To say nothing of when he shaved Slaanesh bald when the god was 'sleeping'.

Only the sneakiest of fucks in all of Chaos got past my wards and that was with... Literally months of hiding under my nose back on the planet of Tertium and being a known element. How was I supposed to know the Changling was willing to be a catgirl and embrace her role to the point of getting high on catnip!?

So maybe if I had a dozen more ships, let alone the three hundred that were escorting me to the Lion's own fleet. It woudn't have been able to fuck over all the ships as the Changling would have needed to take an identity on all the different ships which I would have caught onto.

"I will retiring to my quarters during the Warp Jump... What's the estimate time of arrival to the First's current position?"

One of the Mechanicus guiding me through the ship then said in a modulate screech of a voice from the speaker that had replaced it's mouth. "With so many Astropath's working in concert and exiting the Sol system, we should have a stable flight plan of thirty standard hours."

Thirty hours. Plenty of time for the Markers that were powering the Halo Ring's systems to fill the Slipspace Drive. And at the thought of the Orcs I was to face in but a couple of days? I pitied them.

As I had spent my free time working on both Tyrranid and Orc DNA to make bioweapons that would make even the most... Inventive of mad scientists belonging to Umbrella, Fabius Bile, or the Dark Elder's Haemonculi bow in respect.

'Who wins... In a bio war is the question. The Flood, Tyrranid's or Orcs?' I mused with a cold smile as I I felt the ship rumble heavily as it began to the process of opening a warp gate.
