"I still plan to go with my plan of making people's lives better. It's the only way to stop the cycle of violence."
Gael nodded. "It's a noble goal. But it's a long-term solution. What about the short term? The nobles are getting worried. They might desire to fire back on the rebels on their own, even if you tell them not to."
I frowned. He was right. The nobles were getting restless.
"I'll talk to them," I said, my voice firm. "I'll make them see reason."
"I hope you do," Gael said, his voice serious. "Because if you don't, they might take matters into their own hands."
Mia squeezed my hand, her touch a silent reassurance. "You'll do the right thing, Ore. I know you will."
I smiled at her, my heart swelling with love. "Thanks, Mia."
Osamu looked up. "Why not scare bad people early so bad people stop doing bad? Papa can be big, scary dragon and rawr them!"
