Amelia PoV
The door was open. I stepped inside and began my ascent up the winding stairs. The air grew warmer, the light brighter with each step.
At the top, I found myself in a large, circular chamber. In the center, Vadim was asleep inside a shallow pool of water. Hyun-woo was nowhere to be seen. Vadim was glowing with a soft, golden light that pulsed in a slow, steady rhythm, like a heartbeat. His face was peaceful, a soft smile on his lips. He looked so serene, so at peace.
I giggled and walked over to the edge of the pool. I poked his round cheeks. "Wake up, lazy bones."
His body shook slightly. "Hmm? Ame?" he muttered, his eyes slowly opening. They were glowing, a beautiful shade of blue, unlike the dull, lifeless color from my dream.
"Did you fall asleep while meditating?" I asked, a playful smile on my face.
