I yawned as I opened my eyes. What time was it? Had I slept all day?
"Ugh, I sure am a lazy bones of a queen, huh, Vadi?" I said, turning to look at Vadim, but he wasn't there. I frowned. Not waking up with Vadim next to me felt odd now.
I took a deep breath, trying not to think the previous night's dream. We would be together until the end. Neither of us would die before the other...
My eyes went to the ceiling. Right, Sky Father?
A soft knock on the door broke my thoughts. I quickly sat up and smoothed down my clothes. "Come in."
Noel poked his head in. "Morning, Lady Amelia."
I smiled. "Hey, Noel. Do you know where your cousin is?"
He blinked. "Vadi didn't return? Last I saw him, he went with Hyun-woo to a special tower. Thought of following them to learn about the Taeyang's power, but I got all enamored by the architecture here."
I hummed. Had he pulled an all nighter? Well, if there was anyone who could do it, it was Vadim.
