Chapter 45 - Start

I jump from the plane.

There's wind hitting the ears through the in-game surround sound.

I tilt my body slightly forward for faster drop speed, then I angle slightly left to avoid direct collision with another parachute.

There are three other parachutes nearby — two players headed towards a warehouse, one drifting towards the cluster of houses I am targeting.

I keep glancing down for landing timing.

The roofs are old brick with some metal sheet sections.

The road beside the house cluster is cracked, a small broken concrete barrier on the left side.

I choose the flat roof of a two-floor building.

I turn my body slightly to align for a rooftop landing.

Landing.

Feet hit flat surface, minimal fall damage.

I instantly crouch and move towards the edge of the roof because I can hear parachute canopy flapping sound from another player landing somewhere behind the cluster.

Sound direction shows he is not landing on my same building.

Probably one of the houses one row behind.

I move to the rooftop door hatch.

Open door.

I go downstairs to second floor.

There is a table near the window.

Loot on table:

one P1911 pistol

.45 ammo x 30

one bandage

one holographic sight

I pick the pistol.

I reload.

I equip holo but keep it in inventory because pistol can't attach it.

I step slowly towards the second floor window.

I crouch near the wall to avoid being seen from outside.

I can hear one faint landing sound far right — maybe 80 meters.

That's probably another player.

I check behind the door. Nothing on the small shelf.

I move down to ground floor.

On ground floor there is a kitchen layout: refrigerator asset on left side, sink, counter, two open cabinets.

Loot on floor beside counter:

UMP45

.45 ammo x 60

Quickdraw mag SMG

I grab everything.

I reload UMP fully.

Auto fire mode.

I check window near entry door — I position slightly left to use the wall for cover.

I don't see any target outside.

I open the main door slightly, but I don't step out fully.

I check lean peek left.

Street empty.

I go outside but hug the left wall of the building immediately so I don't expose my full character silhouette.

There is another two-floor house directly ahead.

Door is open.

This means someone already entered.

Distance approx 30 meters.

I stay crouched.

I check left side again — static.

I shift my aim to the door of that house.

I wait for few seconds — listening.

There is no footstep sound from that building.

Either he is crouch walking or looting quietly.

I rotate across the wall side to another entrance angle.

I crouch and cross the small alley between these two houses.

I hear a pistol shot from the warehouse direction — slightly distant — maybe the two players who landed there already engaged.

I ignore that for now.

I focus on this building in front of me.

Someone is inside.

I take slow steps.

There is broken window on left side wall.

I push my camera slightly to angle through it.

I see a shadow near the staircase rail on the opposite corner inside the house.

This is a player holding angle upstairs.

I maintain crouch.

I shift my aim to the staircase.

I fire three short bursts:

tap tap tap

Hits confirm on wall, but I suspect one bullet tagged him because there was a small blood flick.

He moves back.

I heard small reposition footstep on the upper floor wood paneling.

I stay behind exterior wall to avoid getting pre-fired.

He might push window.

I reposition slightly.

I swap to pistol for quick peek because pistol ADS is faster.

I tighten angle.

….

He suddenly moves above.

I hear faster footsteps on the wooden floor of the second floor — heavier pace now, not slow crouch.

He's sprinting to reposition.

He might be trying to peek another window to get angle on me.

I move two steps backward from the wall so he cannot prefire the exact exterior line I was holding.

I keep pistol in hand for faster ADS.

I can hear his movement go from upper stair landing → then he turns left → then stops.

Stop means he's now holding angle again.

He is waiting for me to overpeek.

I look at the corner of the house wall.

If I cross the line of sight directly in front, he will have full window angle.

So I decide to rotate around the opposite corner.

I holster pistol → swap back to UMP.

I crouch and move to the other side of the house.

There is a broken section of fence I can use as partial cover.

I keep crosshair level at second-floor window height while moving.

I stop behind the fence.

I hear shifting upstairs again.

Two small stepping sounds.

Not sprinting now — slow paced, like he is walking sideways to align a window peek.

His footsteps are still above me.

I look through tiny gap between fence planks — I see small flicker of barrel silhouette in the window frame, he is holding angle with some gun, maybe a AR.

I do not peek fully.

I wait.

He peeks window slightly.

He is in half-body lean.

I fire quick UMP burst.

tat tat tat tat

He instantly ducks.

He fires back one or two rounds — bullet hits fence plank near my right side — wood chip particles flick.

He goes back inside.

He is now repositioning again inside.

Long pause.

That means he is trying to get ground floor flank.

So I shift position.

I move towards the front door of the building.

I stay crouched and silent.

I do not run.

If I run — he will hear exact movement direction.

I aim directly at the door frame.

3 seconds pass.

4 seconds.

He doesn't push.

I hear creak from upstairs floor again.

So he is still on second floor.

I use center line of crosshair to measure the timing — he is likely going to peek window again because he knows I rotated.

I step back from door and go around left side of the building.

I crouch near the wall.

I aim upward.

He shows again for half second — he tries to peek another window on the opposite side.

He has a gun with bigger profile — looks like maybe M16 or QBZ from shape — but cannot confirm fully due to angle.

I fire burst again — I see blood spray this time.

Confirmed hit.

He backs off again.

He is injured now.

He might try to heal.

If he tries to heal — he will need 3 to 6 seconds depending on consumable.

So this is moment to push.
