Chapter 929 - Chapter 929 : I'll Release The Diary's Contents

Ming Yuqian turned the car around and headed back towards He Biyuan. Fu Yinxiu's brows remained furrowed as he rested one hand on the armrest of the car door, tapping his fingers intermittently.

After a while, he said, "Check the surveillance footage of He biyuan. See who went to her house during that time."

Alpha Guard 2 immediately responded, "Yes, sir."

Alpha Guard 1 and Alpha Guard 2 were responsible for Fu Yinxiu's security, so Alpha Guard 2 called Alpha Guard 6 and Alpha Guard 7 to handle the situation at He Biyuan.

Previously, Alpha Guard 5, He Ruoyi, had displeased Fu Yinxiu with her actions at a banquet, resulting in her being reassigned for three months as punishment. Therefore, He Ruoyi hadn't been able to take on tasks recently.

Fu Yinxiu fell silent again, pondering. The diary Ming Yutong mentioned—could it be the beige leather-bound notebook he had seen by her pillow that night?

What could be so important in it to make her so anxious?

Discovering her home ransacked, she prioritized searching for her diary over checking her important documents.

Ming Yuqian drove as fast as possible to He Biyuan, but heavy traffic delayed him, making him anxious.

On the way, he called Ming Yutong, urging her to wait outside the building and not stay alone in the apartment, as it was too dangerous.

When he arrived at He Biyuan, he saw Ming Yutong standing outside with two large suitcases. Almost simultaneously, Fu Yinxiu arrived.

Seeing Ming Yuqian rush towards Ming Yutong, Alpha Guard 1 asked, "Sir?"

"Drive further away. Don't let them see us," Fu Yinxiu ordered.

"Yes, sir," Alpha Guard 1 nodded and slowly drove the car a bit further away.

Ming Yuqian saw the two suitcases and asked, "Is everything packed? Is there anything else you need to bring?"

"These are enough. The rest can be packed slowly," Ming Yutong replied.

Ming Yuqian loaded the suitcases into the car. "Sis, wait in the car. I'll go up and take a look."

"I'll go with you," Ming Yutong insisted.

Since Ming Yutong was more familiar with her home, Ming Yuqian didn't object. "Alright."

The two of them went back up to Ming Yutong's apartment together.

Over the phone, Ming Yutong had not provided many details.

When Ming Yuqian saw the state of her home with his own eyes, he was both shocked and furious.

He could hardly imagine the danger Ming Yutong might have faced if she had returned home earlier and encountered the intruders.

"Did anything get stolen?" Ming Yuqian asked.

"Only my diary," Ming Yutong replied, her face filled with worry.

Ming Yuqian's expression turned serious. He didn't know what Ming Yutong had written in her diary, but it was extremely personal, and it would be bad if it fell into the wrong hands.

"That diary," Ming Yutong explained, "I've been writing it since Fu Yinxiu left. It records my life searching for Jingshi, my illness, and recently, my days after finding Jingshi. I write in it daily."

"We must get it back!" Ming Yuqian said firmly.

Ming Yutong nodded. "I'm not afraid of my illness being exposed. If it's just targeting me, I don't care. What I fear the most is that they might expose Jingshi to get at me. I don't want Jingshi's life to be disturbed."

"Have you called the police?" Ming Yuqian asked.

Ming Yutong shook her head. "Not yet. I wanted to discuss it with you first."

"We still need to call the police," Ming Yuqian said. As soon as he finished speaking, Ming Yutong's phone rang.

The screen displayed "No Caller ID," indicating that the caller had masked their number.

Ming Yutong looked at Ming Yuqian. "It might be them."

Ming Yuqian nodded, and Ming Yutong put the call on speaker. "Hello?"

"Hello, Miss Ming," the caller said, using a voice changer that made their voice sound comically childlike. Despite the tone, Ming Yutong felt no amusement.

"Who are you?" Ming Yutong asked immediately.

"You'll find out," the caller replied. "Your diary is with me."

"Did you break in just for the diary?" Ming Yutong asked coldly.

"A diary is a very private thing. You never told anyone you kept one," the caller said. "It's quite well-written, with a lot of information. If I give it to any media outlet, it would dominate the headlines for days. For instance, Miss Ming had a child out of wedlock, Miss Ming had a breakdown, and now, Miss Ming has found her son. Oh, and the child's name is Jingshi, Fu Yinxiu's son."

"What do you want?" Ming Yutong asked, her voice steely.

"I advise you not to call the police. Of course, if you do, I can't stop you. But as soon as the police get involved, I'll release the diary's contents. Now, Miss Ming, which do you care more about—your breakdown, your illegitimate child, or the child's identity?"

Ming Yutong's eyes narrowed. "Whether it's my illegitimate child or my breakdown, feel free to expose them. I don't care. As for Jingshi's identity, that's not my concern. If you're not afraid of Fu Yinxiu's revenge after exposing it, go ahead."

There was a pause on the other end before the caller replied, "Heh, you don't need to worry about how Fu Yinxiu will deal with me. You clearly don't care about your breakdown or having an illegitimate child. Only when I mentioned Fu Jingshi did you bring up Fu Yinxiu to threaten me. It seems you really care about Fu Jingshi."

Ming Yutong's gaze sharpened. "You're right. But you should consider carefully the consequences of provoking Fu Yinxiu over his son. Look at what happened to Jia Mingkai. That was just a minor punishment. What do you think he'll do to you if you harm his child?"
