Claire cautiously observed her father's expression. Seeing Adrian's face return to normal, she finally stopped crying with a few sobs.

Hugo held a ball in his arms, blinking at the crying baby. Adrian guessed that Hugo had hit the child in an attempt to grab the ball.
The child's parent picked up the hit child and said to Hugo sitting there, "How can you hit someone?"
