Aldana Candi felt a slow-growing guilt in her heart, for she truly felt undeserving of Jimmy Blythe's kindness.
Jimmy Blythe looked calm, turned around, and softly exhaled, saying to Aldana Candi, "Will you walk with me for a while longer?"
Aldana Candi nodded, "Okay."
The two of them slowly walked along the beach, the sun setting in the west, and in the distance, fishing boats returned slowly, like a painting etched on an oil canvas.
As evening approached, Jimmy Blythe escorted Aldana Candi back.
"I'll be staying here for a few more days; if you're free, come and see me."
Aldana Candi hesitated, "Mr. Blythe..."
"I can't have lost the right to pursue you and simultaneously lost the right to be your friend, can I?" Jimmy Blythe said with a gentle smile, and a touch of mischief, blinking at her, "I don't take advantage of people, a gentleman does not take what others love. I may not be a gentleman, but I don't want to put you in a difficult position either."
