Ellen Candi didn't eat anything for a whole day and night, curled up on the bed in a daze. Upon hearing a knock at the door, she went to open it like a robot about to shut down.
"You're here." Seeing Eric Candi, she greeted hoarsely and stepped aside to let him in.
Eric looked down at Ellen's emaciated and pale face, his sharp eyebrows slightly furrowed, and reached out to grab her wrist, "What's wrong with you?"
"I want to ask you something."
"You have a fever." Eric felt her high temperature, furrowing his brows tightly, "Do you have any fever-reducing medicine at home?"
"I'm not in the mood to discuss that now." Ellen looked at him, "Are you planning to chat at the door, or should we talk inside?"
Eric silently gazed down at her for a moment, then reached out to close the door.
He came in and said, "I thought the most urgent thing for you right now is to find Aldana."
