Ellen Candi, with reddened eyes, grabbed her by the collar, "What exactly do you want to say?!"
Angela Summer's expression made her heart feel strange, that kind of ineffable unease amidst everyday calm, like a needle appearing in her heart.
She probably also knew something was off, but no one was willing to tell her. As days went by normally, her nerves slowly relaxed, and she stopped probing into matters she couldn't get answers to.
But probing doesn't mean she had completely forgotten. Angela Summer's words now made her recall Eric Candi's ambiguous remarks from back then.
They were all hiding things from her, they all knew, but none were willing to say — the sealed secret had been slightly unveiled, and she seemed to vaguely glimpse the somber truth inside. She just needed a bit more, a little bit more to know it all.
"Does it have anything to do with Aldana?" Ellen Candi asked, "What exactly did I do to her? Why won't any of you tell me?!"
