Olivia Lewis watched their eye contact, calmly pulled her partner inside, and said, "Come in. Standing at the door might disturb the neighbors across."
"Thanks, sister-in-law." Austin was overjoyed, slipped in first, completely ignoring Adam's warning look.
Once inside, he looked around the small apartment in surprise and asked Olivia who was pouring him water, "Sister-in-law, why do you live in such a small house?"
He meant no harm; he was purely curious.
