He stretched out his hand, grabbed Harry's neck, lifted it out of Sophie Sullivan's embrace, and casually placed it on the sofa nearby.
Startled awake, Harry shook his head and stared vigilantly at the man who had woken him.
With his round, big eyes, he froze the moment he saw his master.
"MEOW..." Harry let out a weak whimper in protest.
Thomas Shannon didn't even glance at him. He leaned down, picked up the sleeping Sophie Sullivan, and carried her back to the bedroom.
The sleep gown, damp with cold sweat, had long since dried.
Thomas Shannon held Sophie Sullivan, letting her lean against his chest. With one hand, he brushed her hair aside, revealing her delicate and beautiful small face.
