Silence.
Sophie Sullivan fell silent, hoping to dodge the issue this way.
However, Thomas Shannon had no intention of letting her off that easily. The corner of his mouth hooked into a wicked smile. "Maniac, you have five seconds to think. After five seconds, you'll bear the consequences."
Either way, she was doomed, so she might as well take the initiative and perhaps get lenient treatment.
Sophie raised her arm. "Hold me."
Thomas Shannon didn't move.
Sophie's soft feet drew circles on his chest. "What are you waiting for? Aren't you going to hold me?"
What a seductive enchantress!
Thomas Shannon released her feet, extended his long arm, and pulled her into his embrace.
"Stop sleeping. Go take a bath. After breakfast, we'll head to the Sahara Desert."
Upon hearing the word "desert," Sophie felt a headache coming on. Why go to the desert of all places? Endless yellow sand, what's so special about it?
