The doctor sat down to explain to Nemuri that personality changes are usually associated with neural or sociological factors.
"Impossible, Allen has lived a healthy life, I guarantee it!"
"..." Allen quietly observed the woman who claimed to act like a responsible guardian, yet sneaked into his bed and tried to bathe with him.
Thanks to the conversation Nemuri was having, Allen managed to figure out several things. First, she was his legal guardian, though they weren't related by blood.
It didn't seem like she had adopted him, so it was likely that someone had left Allen in her care.
As for their relationship, as usual, the Allen in "auto-pilot mode" avoided forming any emotional bond, trying to prevent situations like this.
[I'm sorry, Host. You really did try to draw a line with this woman, but no matter how coldly you treated her, she kept clinging to you. It seems that despite her personality she has a masochistic side.]
'I see…'
"Please help him, doctor! I don't know what I would do if something happened to him!" Nemuri blew her nose with a tissue as tears streamed down her face.
The entire Chat looked at Allen suspiciously. What kind of brainwashing, magic, or hypnosis had he used to make this woman act like this?
"Miss Kayama, I'll do what I can, but we've already run all the corresponding tests and Allen shows no signs of any problem."
The doctor felt pressured. He had done everything within his reach, and medically speaking, Allen had nothing wrong with him.
On the contrary, his treating her better was not a good thing—so why was this woman insisting that her sweet Allen was supposed to be a cold jerk to her?
Allen scratched his head, grabbed his clothes, and changed. Of course, the system cut off the video feed for everyone… or so Allen thought. He forgot that his moderators had more "privileges." Fortunately, his mods were his girlfriends. However, those same girls retransmitted the scene to a private chat that mostly consisted of Allen's harem, girlfriend candidates, and the dolls.
"..."
Nemuri froze as well. She couldn't help but blush.
"Allen has grown… The last time we bathed together he was only twelve… he's quite a man now~"
"Nemuri, I can hear you, you know?"
"Ah! My thoughts slipped out!"
…
Allen left the hospital an hour later after a few more tests. Inside Nemuri's car, she looked uncomfortable, glancing at him through the rearview mirror.
"I'm sorry…"
Her voice was calm, slightly embarrassed. Normally, Nemuri was a more composed and serene woman, but every now and then, in emotionally charged situations, she lost her composure and did things like this.
"Don't worry, Sister Nemuri."
Allen decided to treat this woman with more respect. Even though he had just met her, she must have taken care of him for a long time.
"Ah…" Nemuri gasped, her hair hiding her expression. "Could you say that one more time?"
"Sister?"
"Hehehe~"
Redness spread all the way to Nemuri's ears as she laughed creepily.
Ring
Interrupting the awkward atmosphere, Nemuri's phone rang. She grabbed it from the glove compartment and frowned when she saw the caller ID.
"What's wrong?"
As if by magic, Nemuri's attitude made a full one-eighty and she became a professional woman.
"Huh? What do you mean there's a villain problem? I told you I'm unavailable, I have to take care of Allen!"
Nemuri was angry. At this moment, her main concern was attending to Allen, who had just left the hospital. She didn't have time to deal with villains.
"You should go."
"Nothing is more important than you," Nemuri replied with a gentle smile.
Seeing the sincerity in her words, Allen almost forgot that she had looked like a perverted yandere a while ago.
"I appreciate it, but I'm fine. My head hurts a bit, but I'd rather you don't get yourself into trouble."
"Aw~" Nemuri slammed the brakes, unbuckled her seatbelt, and jumped toward Allen to hug him. "Since when did you become so sweet?! ❤️"
With his face buried in Nemuri's chest, Allen wondered if this woman was the antagonist or main difficulty of this world.
In the end, Allen convinced Nemuri to prioritize the emergency call.
He could go home on his own…
Nemuri was reluctant, but Allen insisted with a cold stare that finally convinced her he was fine.
…
Once he was alone on the street, supposedly near the apartment where he currently lived, he did the first thing he needed to do:
Gather information.
Sure, he also needed to learn why he was in the hospital and what his relationship with Nemuri was, but this was far more important.
Gwen – It looks like Tokyo, but it can't be…
The streets were lively and full of people. The signs indicated places he didn't recognize, but it was clearly Japan.
However, Allen—and the entire Chat—noticed something far more striking.
Orihime – Ah, that person just flew!
Erza – Wait, that guy has horns on his head.
Saya – People really live like this? This world is so weird.
Just like the Chat, Allen froze. The streets were filled with all kinds of people.
A green man was flirting with a girl who suddenly turned into a golem, scaring him away.
A little girl made a candy float while another kid stuck himself to a tree upside-down as his mother scolded him.
Ruby – Mutants, in broad daylight!
Rogue – That's impossible! Why isn't anyone reacting?!
The strongest reactions naturally came from the Marvel mutants. They had been segregated by a society that never understood them. For those who had to hide their whole lives, seeing this was shocking.
'System, what can you tell me about this world?' Allen asked, staring at a boy who walked past him. His face looked like an armadillo's, yet he was casually playing with another perfectly normal-looking kid.
[Ahem]
A window appeared for Allen and the Chat explaining the world.
[Everything began with a child born in Qing Qing, China, who emitted light. From that moment, the first generation of people with abilities emerged—"quirks." As generations passed, the world changed, and currently 80% of the global population has quirks. This is that kind of world.]
Charles – That's a miracle.
Magneto (From prison) – This has to be a lie!
Scott – I can't believe it…
The view was incredible—a world where people with mutant-like traits or super abilities lived openly in society.
Allen felt strange seeing so many people with quirks and a society that hadn't collapsed. At that moment, a young man slid past him, his hands touching the ground as he glided as if skating on ice.
What caught Allen's attention wasn't the ability, but the floating tag above his head.
[Koichi Haimawari – Nice Guy
Quirk: Slide and Glide]
"From what I can see, most quirks are harmless, subtle, or weak. Not everyone can rip bridges apart like you, Magneto. Maybe that's why it works."
Allen had given Magneto access to the Chat a long time ago—ever since the man surrendered to save his children and siblings. Since then, Magneto had remained mostly silent, and this was the first time he commented. Of course, he would—this world was the utopia he and Charles Xavier had dreamed of.
…
Allen walked around, looking at newspapers and asking people questions. He finally understood how this world worked.
Now he only needed to learn what his role in this story would be.
Boom!
Out of nowhere, an explosion occurred. Looking in that direction, there was a massive giant.
[Name: Giant Villain
Quirk: Gigantification
Threat Level: 2]
"A villain… I see…"
It didn't take a genius to guess what kind of world this was.
The Giant Villain roared angrily, smashing a utility pole and causing it to fall.
"Watch out!" someone shouted.
"..." Allen didn't move, because he saw that someone else was about to handle it.
The light pole was stopped by a very muscular man wearing a blue superhero suit. He had a protective helmet and metal wrist guards painted with black and yellow stripes. His power seemed to be super strength.
"Ah, it's Death Arms! Look, the heroes are here!"
"Go on, you can do it, Death Arms!"
The crowd, far from being scared, looked excited by the spectacle, indicating that this wasn't something out of the ordinary.
"Everyone, stand back please," said another hero, creating a water rope that separated the civilians from danger. This hero wore a firefighter suit with his face covered.
"Ah, it's Backdraft!"
"Say hi to me!"
Allen felt like he was watching some sort of children's show. The people in this world seemed to have the survival instinct of a capybara.
"Oh, it's incredible!" Beside Allen, a green-haired boy started writing in his notebook. His enthusiastic gaze made it clear that he was an extreme superhero fan.
Allen turned his attention back to the action when another hero arrived, wearing a very strange suit that looked like it had a wooden head and wooden arms.
"It's Kamui Woods!"
The crowd got even more excited than before—clearly even in this world, there were levels of popularity among heroes.
This Kamui had wood-based powers, making flexible yet sturdy roots grow from his hands. Even though the villain was massive, he was being suppressed. However, just as Kamui was about to deliver a finishing blow—complete with a special attack name—a giant girl appeared and kicked the villain.
"Canyon Cannon!"
The villain was launched away and crashed heavily onto a street. The woman had light blond hair and red eyes. Her suit was made of blue and white dark-spandex, clearly showing off her figure.
"Hehe, I'm Mt. Lady and this is my debut. I hope we get along~"
Immediately a bunch of guys started taking pictures of the giant beauty. She seemed to be showing off on purpose, as if she wanted to gain popularity.
Batman – This is...
Superman – Did you notice it too?
Kara – What's going on?
Before they could understand anything, the system spoke.
[In this world, where most people have powers, the existence of villains has become normalized. As such, heroes became necessary, and the profession of heroism was born. Heroes are workers hired to defeat villains.]
Tony – Being a paid superhero? Wow. If that were possible, I wouldn't have to spend millions feeding Hulk.
While the system explained how the world worked, Allen noticed that news reporters had arrived. Soon Mt. Lady reduced her size and went to be interviewed.
[A hero's salary depends on their popularity, which is why they try hard to appeal to the public.]
'I see.'
Allen knew this definitely didn't sit well with the real superheroes watching, since it felt like the meaning of being a hero was being degraded.
[Alert! Corruption detected!]
"...?"
– Now that you understand the world, it's time for my personal touch. Enjoy, Allen. –
"Lucifer..."
Allen's expression darkened...
The Giant Villain—who had been unconscious and reduced in size—began convulsing. Paramedics approached, but sensing danger, Allen shouted from behind the crowd:
"Everyone get back!"
RAAAHHHHH!
The Giant Villain grew again while being wrapped in a red aura.
[Giant Villain – Corrupted State, Value: 5]
"Persistent bastard!"
Mt. Lady grew again, and her first move was a kick to the giant's head, but he took it without flinching.
"No way..."
Mt. Lady gasped before taking a punch to the stomach, launching her a hundred meters until she crashed into a building.
"Tsk... again with that trick?" Allen frowned.
Watching the scene, he felt the same sensation he had in Fairy Tail—Lucifer was empowering that villain, something that originally wasn't supposed to happen.
"Damn it!"
Kamui used his roots to wrap the villain, but he broke free. Backdraft and Death Arms exchanged looks and decided to help as well.
Backdraft created a rope of water that wrapped around the giant.
Death Arms used the electric pole he had caught earlier to hit him, and Mt. Lady, full of rage, got back up and punched the giant with a closed fist.
"How dare you hit a lady!"
With that, they managed to knock him down, but the giant roared and stood up again.
At this point, the police and spectators realized things were actually dangerous, and everyone began running away—everyone except Allen.
'System, what do I have in this world?'
Allen didn't plan on intervening because acting without understanding the world would be reckless—but since this was Lucifer's fault, he had to step in.
Pam
Beside Allen, slot machines fell from the sky—the kind you'd see in a casino: one silver, one gold, and the last one iridescent. He was speechless.
[Host, in this world your power... is all of them.]
"Huh?" Allen didn't understand what that meant.
[As I said, your power is all of them. At your disposal is a slot machine. By using it, you have the chance to obtain the template of a character and transform into them completely or partially. This includes all your viewers and even people you haven't met yet.]
"What did you say?"
[However, since this is a world of heroes and villains, there is a fifty-percent chance the template will be related to that.]
The green-haired boy, before fleeing, watched the heroes struggle against the villain. Hearing Allen talking, he turned around but saw him speaking to himself, which startled him even more—Allen wasn't running.
Allen, for his part, felt irritated.
"What do you gain from this?"
Lucifer – Don't be impatient. The explanation isn't finished. But fine, I'll say it. The templates aren't permanent. They have a time limit based on their quality—anywhere from ten seconds to twenty-four hours.
"Wait, don't tell me—" Allen turned slightly pale.
Lucifer – That's right, my very unfortunate Allen. In this world, your power doesn't depend on your talent or effort, but on your luck.
Allen was intelligent, talented, skilled—but he had one fatal flaw: terrible luck. Whether it was gambling or random misfortune, Allen always pulled the worst possible result.
He knew it—this time Lucifer had screwed him over. Knowing that Allen would grow strong no matter the world or difficulty, Lucifer removed the "growth" factor and made his power depend entirely on the goddess of fortune… who had always been a bitch to him.
[Host, don't worry. You have one advantage. Every ten pulls, you are guaranteed a high-quality template.]
Hearing that, Allen let out a relieved sigh. As always, Allen wouldn't let Lucifer screw him over unilaterally.
"Fine. And how many pulls do I have now?"
[Just one...]
"..."

....
His name was Midoriya Izuku. This boy loved superheroes. He wanted to become one, like his idol, the Symbol of Peace—All Might. However, that dream wasn't possible because he was born without a quirk.
"I want to too..."
Midoriya refused to be a spectator. Even without a quirk, he wouldn't let someone die.
"Be careful—"
Midoriya's words stopped when he saw Allen being wrapped in light.
A streak of red and blue shot forward at high speed, leaving him stunned.
....
In the fight, the four heroes were struggling. Reinforcements were coming, but they would take time.
Mt. Lady wiped the blood from her mouth. "Damn it, if I had known this would be my debut, I wouldn't have spent three hours fixing my hair!"
Kamui, clinging to a pole with his powers, rolled his eyes.
"Are you seriously worried about that?"
"Idiot! First impressions are everything!"
Unfortunately for both of them, the Giant didn't wait for them to finish talking. Still wrapped in a corrupt aura, he charged at them with a punch that cut through the air.
"This is bad..." Mt. Lady said, covering herself with her arms to take the hit.
But the hit never came. When she looked up, she saw a waving red cape. A man in his twenties, with white hair, wearing a blue and red suit with an S on the chest, was standing there.
And the most incredible part—he was holding the Giant's punch with a single hand. Everyone watching was left breathless. There was something about that man—something only one person had ever embodied. Just by existing, he made it feel like everything would be okay.
...
"I knew you'd get something good," Clark said with a smile.
Kara, for her part, was screaming at the screen like a fangirl.
[Classic Superman Template – Rank E, time remaining: 56 seconds.]
