Chapter 741 - 741 My Hero Academia: Midnight's Affection, Hero or Vigilante?, Two Mysterious Girls, and With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility.

The apartment he shared with Nemuri was quite spacious.

Something to be expected from a popular professional heroine with several years of career behind her.

During dinner, the beautiful woman appeared from the kitchen wearing an apron over casual clothes and carrying a sumptuous meal for both of them.

Anyone who saw her would think she was a young wife, not the famous pro hero Midnight.

"Today we celebrate your release from the hospital~" she said with a smile as she set the plates in front of Allen.

"Sis, I was only hospitalized for a day," Allen laughed.

Nemuri immediately hugged Allen against her large chest. "Yes, one whole day of total agony!"

"I'm sorry for worrying you."

Allen still hadn't fully adapted to Nemuri's affection, but once he realized it was genuine, he decided to respond to her as if he had known her for years.

"The important thing is that you're okay now."

Nemuri shook her head, let him go, and sat beside him before smiling and starting to eat.

Allen looked at her from the side. Her smile made him think that just eating together was enough to put her in a good mood.

He had learned about this world—the way it worked, the heroes and villains—but he still didn't understand why Nemuri was so attached to him.

It was true that years of living together would soften anyone's heart, but the contrast between Nemuri as Midnight and Nemuri as his "big sister" was enormous.

During his walk, Allen had asked about Midnight. She was a very famous and popular pro hero.

Nemuri's quirk was "Somnambulist," which allowed her to release a sleep-inducing aroma from her body, causing anyone who inhaled it to doze off. The scent spread quickly, affecting everyone near her.

'So that's why she smells so nice.'

[Host, that comment sounded perverted.]

'Hahaha! Didn't you say you wouldn't fuck women in this world?!'

Rebecca's mocking laugh interrupted his train of thought. She was next to him in doll-sized form, but in her spiritual mode, invisible to Nemuri.

'You be quiet, Rebecca...'

As always, Rebecca had the tact of a truck driver when she spoke.

"Nemuri, can I ask you something?"

"'Sis,' right?" Nemuri pinched his cheek, pretending to be upset.

Allen laughed.

"Sis, you're being pretty hard on someone who just got out of the hospital, aren't you?"

His body wasn't as strong as a super strength hero's, but it was still superhuman, so Nemuri's pinch only tickled.

"Ah..." Nemuri immediately released his cheek and began caressing it with a worried expression. "I'm sorry, I got carried away. Are you okay?"

Allen felt overwhelmed by her concern. He didn't even want to think about what Nemuri would say if she knew he had taken meteor impacts to the back just hours ago.

Allen took her hand on his cheek and gave her a half-mischievous smile. "Don't worry, I'll forgive you because it's you."

"...!" Nemuri froze for a moment. Allen had been acting differently since he woke up. Not only was he less cold and more open with her, but he also seemed a bit more expressive… a little more mature… and slightly cheeky.

'Where did this little rascal learn to attack like that?' Nemuri pulled her hand back and looked away, that last move having caught her completely off guard.

Allen snickered and kept eating. Throughout dinner, he subtly extracted information through their conversation.

Nemuri seemed very happy that Allen was talking so much with her, since he had been quite closed off in the past.

What he learned was that Nemuri wasn't his only guardian, and in fact, he hadn't lived with her alone. For some reason, Allen had been staying with several guardians throughout the years.

As for the reason why, he wasn't able to figure it out.

"I don't like the idea that in a month we'll have to repeat goodbye..." Nemuri said, her expression sinking. "And you're already sixteen… in two more years you'll be able to live on your own, and you'll probably forget about your big sister..."

"That won't happen."

Allen's gaze was firm and full of certainty, surprising Nemuri.

"In my life, I will never forget the kindness and affection given to me."

Nemuri's eyes watered and she almost cried, but she held it back with a smile.

"You've grown."

Allen looked at her and cursed Lucifer again. If he was going to have to make someone suffer—someone who had shown him nothing but love all his life—it would've been better to appear in this world as a stranger. Yet, he also felt happy. Who wouldn't be, with such a caring sister?

"Sis."

"Yes?"

"I'd like to take a bath, but I'm too tired to wash my back—"

Allen didn't finish before Nemuri stood up and stripped down to her underwear with terrifying speed.

"Hehe~" With a predatory gaze, she licked her lips. Allen wasn't sure if this was the same Nemuri who had almost cried a minute ago. "I knew you missed bathing with your sister too❤️~"

Allen didn't remember that, but at least he could be relieved that the most they had ever done was sleep in the same bed. Nemuri's personality just made everything sound more suggestive than it was.

It was to be expected from the +18 superheroine, Midnight. Even her way of defeating villains—often with whips in a dominatrix style—wasn't exactly child-safe.

....

In the bathroom, Allen sat on a small stool with a towel around his waist while Nemuri knelt behind him, also wrapped in a towel.

"Alright, your big sister will take you to heaven❤️~"

Despite the suggestive words, she simply grabbed a towel, filled it with soap, and began washing Allen's back.

"Oh~ you've gotten very strong~"

Nemuri ran her hands over Allen's defined back. He had grown stronger—broad and firm like a man—but still with a hint of youth. Her touches soon became more affectionate, and she even hugged him from behind.

"Sorry, it just feels so good to hug you again after so long~"

The woman didn't hold back her affection, unaware that she was skirting into inappropriate territory.

"..."

Allen had endured far scarier things in his life—from opening Albedo's room and finding her tied up in full bondage waiting for him, to an Aphrodite covered in chocolate—so a slightly perverted woman wasn't a big deal.

"Sis, can I ask something?"

"What?"

"What do they mean when they call you a +18 hero?"

Allen thought about it. Being a public hero in a world closer to The Boys than DC meant she spent a lot of time on camera, so it was strange for him to be asking that.

"It's just that it's not explained very well on TV."

"Haha... ha..." Nemuri laughed awkwardly. "Don't misunderstand. I don't do anything sexual when fighting villains. My quirk produces a kind of hormone that causes euphoria before putting people to sleep. That, combined with my dominatrix image… well, I won't say I enjoy punishing villains, but it's led people to see me that way."

"Sadistic?" Allen turned to look at Nemuri. She averted her gaze, embarrassed. No matter how he saw her, this woman wasn't a Makima or an Esdeath—she was more like an Albedo or an Aphrodite, at least toward him.

"Oh, amazing how the S-Queen was crying because I didn't insult her when she tried to hug me." Allen teased, making Nemuri puff up with indignation as if she were being underestimated.

She stood up, left the bathroom, and returned wearing her mask and holding a whip.

"Allen-kun, I'm very dissatisfied with your late arrival~" Nemuri—no, Midnight—cracked the whip through the air before licking it with a dangerous, sexy, and blushing expression. "It's time for punishment!~"

"I see. No wonder they call you a +18 hero..."

Seeing Allen not play along made Nemuri embarrassed. She removed the mask and returned to washing his back normally, this time using her hands.

She didn't stop at his back, washing his arms, chest, and abdomen. When she reached a sensitive area, she paused and exchanged glances with Allen.

"I'll handle that part myself."

"Okay..."

Even Nemuri understood some limits shouldn't be crossed.

Once Nemuri finished, it was her turn.

"Ah!~"

Nemuri couldn't hold back a sound when Allen's hands touched her back, something that could easily lead to misunderstandings.

"Should I stop?"

"S-sorry. My skin is very sensitive to gentle touch because that's where my quirk comes from. Don't worry, continue~"

"I see." Allen cleared his throat, while Nemuri felt she might've revealed more than necessary—but oh well.

"W-wait! Ah~"

Allen kept washing her back, and Nemuri let out louder and louder sounds, making even someone with Allen's experience tempted to cross the line. But he didn't.

"Ngggh~"

No matter any impulse, Allen knew he had a debt to Nemuri… and he had to respect her.

"Hm~"

He had to treat her as his real family.

"Ah~"

Allen felt it was easier to face villains than spend a single day with Nemuri.

....

The next day, Allen looked at himself in the mirror of his bathroom, feeling a bit strange. After all, he hadn't only lost height and muscle—he had also lost a few years of maturity.

"I need to get used to this."

Before going downstairs, he checked his phone. There was a message from Toru asking about the weather, and Allen told her it was a good day to go for a walk.

After that, he went down and had breakfast with Nemuri. There was a slightly awkward atmosphere between them, but they still managed to hold a conversation.

"Allen, would you like to enroll in U.A.?" Nemuri asked with a serious look.

She had already decided that if Allen didn't want it, she would do everything in her power to stop it from happening.

Allen paused. Fortunately, he had heard about U.A. High School from Toru. She told him that to become a professional hero, she had to graduate from a hero school, and among them, U.A. was the best in Japan.

"I'm not sure…"

Allen didn't know what to answer. He hadn't thought about enrolling in any school. If necessary, he could be one of those so-called vigilantes. After all, he could disguise himself as any superhero or villain from another world to confront enemies or interact with people who were important to the world.

Nemuri went to change into formal clothes and then said goodbye to Allen at the door, but before leaving, she approached him and hugged him.

"Nemuri?"

Her voice became serious. "Allen, by now you should understand that your quirks are both incredible and dangerous."

"…!"

Allen was surprised by Nemuri's words. Did she know about his 'quirks'?!

'System?'

[ I… ]

Before the system could speak, Nemuri continued.

"There's only one person known to have more than one quirk, and that person is a terrifying villain. If not for All Might, he would have plunged all of Japan into terror and anarchy."

"…" Allen began to connect the dots, realizing that a professional heroine becoming his guardian wasn't a coincidence.

Nemuri released him and looked straight into his eyes. "Even so, I also believe someone like you doesn't deserve to spend the rest of his life hiding his quirks. So if you want to enter U.A., I'll be there for you."

"I need to think about it."

Once Nemuri left for work and Allen was alone for a moment.

He returned to his room, but on second thought, he decided to go for a walk, but the system stopped him.

[ Host, are you forgetting your current age? ]

Allen looked at the black uniform in his room and frowned.

"Seriously?"

"School is important," Bocchi said while pressing keys on the PC, researching what kind of rock bands existed in this world.

Allen found this adorable considering Bocchi's current size, so his mood improved. With nothing else to do, he changed clothes and went to school.

....

It was a pretty interesting experience because when he arrived at the location on his GPS, it turned out to be a private academy.

"Seiren Private Academy…"

Just the name sounded expensive.

Allen shook his head. He never expected Nemuri to send him to a private academy.

Boys and girls from wealthy families attended this school, and at the entrance many stared at him, perhaps finding it strange that Allen arrived on foot and not with a driver like many others.

Gwen – Looks like someone isn't very popular~

Felicia – Those jealous looks feel familiar, except instead of envying the bastard with a harem, it seems they just hate you for your appearance.

"…"

The cold stares and murmurs from students as Allen passed by indicated he didn't have many friends. However, there was also another kind of intense gaze following him—and if he had to guess, they came from girls.

Allen smiled, knowing it was better not to get involved with more women, so he subtly avoided approaching any girl who was about to talk to him.

"What's wrong with him?"

A girl with orange hair and blue eyes puffed her cheeks in frustration.

"Forget it, is he always like this?"

Beside her, a taller girl with black hair tied in a ponytail gave a helpless smile.

"Yeah, I know, but he could at least greet us. What's with ignoring us like that?!"

The orange-haired girl was about to chase after Allen when the dark-haired girl stopped her.

"Don't worry. Maybe it has to do with the fact that he skipped two days."

The orange-haired girl looked at her friend before sighing helplessly.

"We're graduating soon, and that guy doesn't even care that we might not see him again…"

The dark-haired girl looked at her friend with sympathy. She knew this girl had feelings that went beyond just wanting to be Allen's friend, but he was like an impenetrable rock.

'That bastard… just because he's a little handsome…'

Annoyed, the girl decided she would follow Allen after school and confront him. First, she would have to escape her chauffeur.

Meanwhile, Allen felt relieved. Since no one approached him, he assumed he didn't have friends, which was actually a good thing for his situation.

"Well, graduation is coming soon anyway. I don't see the point in making friends here."

In the afternoon, Allen left Seiren Academy and headed to the bus stop. It was strange since most students from Seiren had someone picking them up, as expected from a school for the wealthy.

On his way, Allen realized he had no reason to return early, so he took a detour to walk around.

"It's a peaceful world, surprisingly."

Rick – What a scam, with so many mutants I expected explosions every day!

Magneto – This only proves that a society of mutants is perfect.

Erza – Of course, it's not like a giant didn't almost destroy half the city yesterday.

Amanda – No matter the society, there will always be good and bad people.

McDragon – Hey Allen, why haven't you used your pulls? I'm curious who you can transform into.

Nikky – Oh, I agree!

"I already used them." Allen laughed. Yesterday, after defeating Giant, he received five chances to pull for character templates.

Rukia – You did it off-camera?! Idiot!

Lucy – That's unfair!

Shizuka – I wanted to see, mou~

"I'm sorry," Allen apologized, realizing he had made a mistake. "I'll do it next time."

Emma – Well, at least tell us what templates you got.

"Of course."

Allen was about to take them out of his inventory—they appeared like cards. However, at that moment he seemed to hear someone screaming for a brief moment.

"What was that?"

Inside a tunnel crossing a park, Izuku Midoriya, the superhero fanboy, was being held by a green monster that looked like it was made of sludge. It wrapped around his mouth, suffocating him.

"Hh… hh!"

Midoriya extended his hand toward the exit, feeling powerless. No matter how much he tried to scream, the villain didn't let him.

"Don't worry. I'm just hijacking your body. Relax. It'll only hurt for about 45 seconds… after that, it'll all be over," the monster said shamelessly. "I have no choice. I didn't expect him to be in this city…"

Midoriya felt his mind fading, but at that moment a trash container slammed into the sludge villain, freeing him.

"Argh!!"

The villain was shattered but wasn't dead. He quickly reformed, terrified that he might have run into a hero—but surprisingly, that wasn't the case.

Midoriya coughed before seeing what happened. At the entrance of the tunnel stood Allen, holding a webline he had used to hurl the trash container at the villain.

"You…"

Midoriya widened his eyes, recognizing Allen. However, he said nothing. He still couldn't believe what happened, so he remained silent about the incident.

"Attacking a kid in a tunnel—wow, disgusting villains really are everywhere," Allen mocked.

"Damn brat! You think just because you have some ability you can fight villains?!"

There were billions of people with quirks, but only a few thousand per country were pro heroes. Not everyone could face villains.

Still, some people with decent abilities but no training made the stupid mistake of confronting them.

Allen felt instant disgust at the monster. Robbing banks or fighting heroes was one thing, but killing innocents was revolting.

[ Sludge Villain – Rank D

Quirk – Sludge Assimilation

Value 2 ]

"Well, I don't recognize you, so you must be a third-rate villain," Allen mocked mercilessly.

"You insolent brat!" Being belittled made Sludge lose control, and he lunged at Allen.

"Careful!" Midoriya shouted.

Allen smiled as his familiar spider-sense activated. In his previous worlds he hadn't been able to use it because his strength overshadowed it, so feeling it again gave him a sense of nostalgia.

The villain struck the ground where Allen had been, shattering it.

"Haha! Who's laughing now?!"

"Do you hate concrete that much?" Allen teased.

Sludge and Midoriya looked up to see Allen standing on the tunnel ceiling as if gravity didn't exist. More importantly, Allen was no longer dressed like a student—he now wore a red and blue suit with web patterns and a spider symbol on the chest, He even put on the mask.

When they saw the Spider-Man costume, both MJ and Gente were left speechless.

"What are you?!"

"Do I need to answer? Isn't the spandex suit enough of a clue?" Allen mocked. "Or are you really as stupid as you look?"

"Bastard! I'll kill you!" Sludge roared, ready to attack, but Allen smiled and showed he had two more weblines in his hands.

"You know what these are?"

"…!"

Allen pulled them, and two trees shot into the tunnel at high speed, slamming into the villain and tearing him apart before he could react.

"With great power comes great responsibility, I guess that's something you'll never understand...."

With the danger gone, Allen landed and walked toward Midoriya as his Spider-Man suit dissolved into fragments of light.

"Are you okay?"

"Y-yeah… thanks."

The boy's expression looked dim as he answered—however, this time Allen was the one surprised.

[ Izuku Midoriya – "Deku"

Quirk – ???? ]

'He doesn't have one… or I just can't see it?'

As Allen wondered about it, two pairs of eyes watched what had happened—one belonged to the girl who had followed him from school, and the other belonged to a muscular man with a wide smile.
