Chapter 146 - 6-7

Chapter 6 Message

Issei was lying on the grass as he looked up at the sky. "Man, what the hell are we even doing?"

His friends Matsuda and Motohama both quickly sat up with Matsuda pointing his finger at Issei.

"You know damn well why we enrolled in this school!"

Issei jumped up from the ground as he clenched his fist. "Of course! It's to get our own harem!"

Matsuda threw his fist in the air and shouted out. "We plan on having unprotected sex with a girl and never call them again!"

Danny's eyes narrowed as his muscles tensed and his breathing steadied. His grip tightened around the hilt of his shinai. He faced his opponent and waited for the referee to start the match.

"Begin!"

The second the word was said, Danny and his opponent stepped forward with their shinai raised.

Danny brought his shinai in to block his opponent and tilted it so that the opposing shinai slid off his and he flicked his at his opponent's head.

"Point! Match! Winner: Danny!"

The whole room went crazy as all the girls who were watching the match were all cheering for Danny's victory.

Danny took off his helmet, causing the girls to get even louder. He looked at the girls who were cheering for him and gave a small nervous wave. He flinched when the girls went even crazier.

"That's another loss for me."

Danny looked over to his opponent to see Murayama taking off her helmet. "Sorry about that."

She shook her head as sweat droplets came off her hair. She smiled at him as she put her helmet under her arm. "It isn't something to apologize for. All this means that you've gotten better at using your weapon and that I need to practice some more."

Danny smiled as he was thankful that she wasn't mad at him for beating her. "That's good to know. I guess I'm still used to back home where if someone beat one of the jocks at something, they would take it personally."

Murayama let out a despondent sigh before stepping closer to him. She was a few inches away from him as she smiled. "We are different from those back at your home. We accept our losses and strive to be better. Besides-" She shifted to walk past him as she placed a hand on his shoulder and ran it down his back. "Losing to you isn't something to feel bad about." She walked away with a blush and a smile on her face.

Danny felt her hand on his back and blushed at that. He cleared his throat and shook his head before he began to head toward the exit. Once he made it to the entrance of the building, all the girls there began to swarm him as they all congratulated him for his victory. He felt sheepish from all the praise and did his best to excuse himself. "Um… it was nothing, I just practiced a lot to get this good. They can still beat me from time to time, so I still have a lot to learn. Now, I better….um….. Get going. Thanks for the congratulations."

The girls watched him leave with several of them blushing at how modest he was being.

"He's so sweet!"

"Cute, strong, modest, ah, I want to ask him out!"

"Don't even think about it! I'll ask him out before you get the chance!"

"But, what if we aren't what he is looking for?"

Comments like these kept being said as Danny had already been out of earshot and was heading to the changing room.

Danny was glad that they had a shower in the changing room, as it was a good way to calm his adrenaline from each of the matches he did. After the short time he was here, he had improved using the gear, and it was a good way to just use up some energy. He was now wearing his school uniform and packing his things into his bag. "Well, I was able to finish early today, so I might as well ask if she can do me a favor." He thought about this favor he was holding off on for the time he was here, but he needed to do this sooner rather than later, as it would just make his school life harder if he didn't get it over with. Once he was finished, he put his bokken on his shoulder and made his way out. Once he stepped outside, he smiled at the kendo girls who were waiting for him.

Since there was no separate changing room for the boys and girls, seeing as he was the only boy in the kendo club, they established that Danny would be the first to change, since it wouldn't take him so long, and the girls would change afterward.

He walked up to the girls and rubbed the back of his neck with his free hand. "Sorry for the wait, girls. Tried to finish as fast as I could."

The girls quietly giggled as Katase smiled at him. "You don't need to worry about that. It's faster this way as we take longer to get changed." She walked up to him and patted his arm. "By the way, good match today. Don't forget that I will be your next opponent."

Danny nodded. "And I look forward to seeing who wins." With that, the rest of the kendo club entered the changing room, with all of them waving Danny bye.

Danny waved back before he began to walk to the side to head back to the main building. He stopped as he looked up at the sky and let out a sigh. "This is so much different than Amity, but…. I like it here. Quiet, peaceful, and no daily ghost hunts I have to go through." His mind went to the issue that he had been feeling for the past few days, as it was getting to him. He was starting to think he should do something as it was happening too many times for his liking, but he still wasn't sure. He was brought out of his thoughts when he heard some people speaking, ones he knew weren't any of his kendo club members. He looked to his right toward the back of the changing room as he heard the voices coming from there. Wanting to see what it was, he made his way there. As he made it closer to the edge, he leaned on the wall and overheard some guys speaking. Voices he was starting to get familiar with.

"I found this yesterday. I call it the tit-hole."

"Good job, Matsuda."

Danny's face fell as he heard who it was before he peeked past the corner and saw that it was Issei, Matsuda, and Motohama. He saw the latter two pressing their faces against the wall, and he instantly realized what they were doing. Frowning, he snuck out around till he was behind them as he watched Issei try and move one of them out of the way to get "his turn". Dropping his bag to the ground, he walked up behind them before speaking. "See anything you shouldn't?"

The three perverts froze before they turned around slowly to see who it was that caught them. They froze as they saw Danny, with his top half shadowed, and looking down at them with his bokken tapping his shoulder.

Danny gave a mischievously evil smile as he moved the arm holding his bokken to hang at his side. "Pretty sure that this is a 'no spy' zone."

The three perverts got up off the ground and began to run away.

Or at least, they tried to.

Danny jabbed his bokken in-between Motohama's legs and caused him to fall straight to the ground, with Motohama tripping on the bokken. For Issei, he raised his foot and caused him to trip on top of the other two. Once he saw them on the ground, he walked up to the wall and leaned his shoulder on it as he tapped it with his sword. "Oh, gir~ls, we have some unwanted guests~."

The three perverts realized what he was doing, and they shifted to sit on the ground and angrily pointed at him.

Motohama, with panic, shouted at him. "How could you deny us the sight of such beauty?" His finger was shaking in anger toward a fellow male.

Matsuda clenched his fist as he glared at Danny. "Yeah, man! We just want to see some tits and ass!"

Issei was almost pleading for an answer. "Yeah, you're a guy! You should understand what it's like to have this opportunity to see some boobs."

Danny frowned with a quirked eyebrow. "The reason I am doing this is because I understand that it is disrespectful to the girls to peep on them." He pointed his bokken at Matsuda. "And from what I remember, you often tend to shout out that you would 'have sex with girls and never call them again'. If you expect me to show someone so despicable any form of camaraderie or respect, then you should call the boys in white coats." He lowered his bokken as he began to step back. "But I won't be the one dishing out punishment." Once he made a few steps, it was revealed that the kendo club was standing there with their weapons at the ready.

Murayma tightened her grip on her bamboo sword as she smiled at Danny. "Thanks for saving us, Danny."

Danny nodded to her as he picked up his bag. "No problem. I've got something I need to do, so enjoy your little extra training." He began to walk away as he waved over his shoulder.

The perverted trio began to sweat as the girls stood over them, as Issei whimpered out. "Please, show mercy."

"NO WAY!"

Danny heard the screams of pain coming from the three, and he almost felt bad for them. He kinda understood the want to peek on girls as he had done it himself when he got his powers, but after going through a lot of dangerous situations, he supposed that he had matured enough to realize that it was wrong of him to do that. That and his interactions with the girls here gave him more respect for females.

He pulled out his phone and looked at the time. "I hope they are still there so I don't have to hold off on it. She did say she would help me out when I need it."

Danny walked up toward his front door as he was both happy and surprised by the favor he had asked. He put in his key before he looked behind him. "I know you said you would help me, but I didn't think you would do this right after I asked. Aren't you super busy or something?"

Behind Danny were Souna and Tsubaki as the three walked into Danny's house.

Souna nodded as she took off her shoes and put on a pair of visitor slippers. "There are some matters that I need to finish, but I have someone else looking into it. It will be finished in a few days, so I have the time to help you.

Tsubaki followed her president's actions as she stepped into his house. "It is also best if we help you with this matter as it will result in you having an easier time with the classes."

Danny nodded as he walked into his house and put his bag down next to the living room table. "True. My teachers did say it was alright that I stick with English writing, but they keep telling me that I need to start writing in Japanese if I want to get anywhere."

The favor that Danny had asked Souna was for help in writing in kanji. He had been able to get by with writing all of his work in English since the teachers knew the language, but there were moments when some of the other students had trouble. It was recommended that he learn Japanese writing rather than the others learn English since he was now living in Japan. He agreed and figured that he should cash in his favor with the president.

Souna and Tsubaki walked in and sat at the table opposite of him.

They were still keeping tabs on him as he was an unknown. After all the time they didn't get anything concrete, they should have let it go, but Sona was not one to let this unknown continue in her territory. One thing they did notice was that the small bit of energy they detected from around his head had slowly started fading, and it vanished after a certain point. Since then, they didn't feel any sort of energy from him, which just made them want to keep tabs on him even more. After the energy disappeared, they came to the assumption that his mind could be potentially altered for him to be here, or he was an unwilling and unaware spy, but nothing seemed to happen around him. It made Sona want to bring him into her fold even more, for protection if nothing else, but she was going to hold off in asking him to join her as he had already declined joining the council, but the next time she asks him, she will ask him if he would be interested in becoming a devil. If he declines that, they can erase his memory and just maintain a friendship instead.

Tsubaki reached into her bag and pulled out a few books that she had obtained for this very reason. "We should get started as soon as possible. The faster we start, the more we can get done."

Sona nodded. "We do not want to take up too much of your time as you might have something else you wish to do later on."

Danny shrugged as he sat down across from them. "I don't really have anything planned, so it's not like you are taking anything from me."

Sona hummed in thought about that. She already knew about him not having anything else to do since she had him under surveillance for a while now. She nodded as she took out a few tools so they could start practice.

~Later~

Danny stuck his tongue out in concentration as he was trying to keep his hand steady. After he finished, he lifted up the brush in his hand and looked at the calligraphy he was doing.

Tsubaki was standing behind him before he leaned down to look closer at his work.

Sona was sitting across from him as she looked at the large piece of paper they were using to practice his calligraphy. They decided to do this as it doubles for learning how to read and write, as well as improving his calligraphy. "Good, you were able to get most of this correct. You are just missing a stroke here." She pointed at a spot that was just in between three strokes.

Danny looked at what he was drawing and started to see that he was indeed missing part of it. "Damn." He glared at the paper as he was sure that he had gotten it right.

Sona smiled as she stood up. "Don't worry, you have made a lot of progress. We should take a break before we start up again. Too much at one time can be detrimental when improving a skill."

Danny nodded as eh was glad to stop trying to do slow strokes with a brush. It was just something he wasn't used to.

Tsubaki nodded as she moved to sit behind Sona, but she paused when she saw something of interest under the television. "I did not know you played Chess, Danny."

Sona looked behind her and saw that there was a chess set below the TV. She hadn't noticed it before since she was more focused on Danny and what they would practice.

Danny shrugged as he walked over to it and picked up the knight. "I learned to play some time ago. It wasn't something that I was interested in before, but there was a….. Acquaintance with the family that loved to use chess puns, and my sister convinced me to learn how to play so I could use them against him when he started. Don't know if I am any good, really, since I've only ever played against my sister and friends. I was able to beat them every now and then, but it was never something I put much thought into."

Tsubaki hummed in thought as she adjusted her glasses so they would become white in the light. When he spoke of the word "acquaintance", it was clear that there was something to it. It sounded like there was some animosity toward this person, and with how this person was fond of chess puns, they might be a devil that he hates. Whether he knew about devils and hated them, hated this single person, or it was just a coincidence, they could not know with what little they had here. "Perhaps you should play a game against Souna. She is rather skilled in this game."

Sona looked at her queen in shock, as this was not what she came here for. They came here to both help Danny out and observe him since her peerage did not find anything.

Tsubaki looked at her king and gave her a meaningful look.

Seeing the look Tsubaki gave her, she understood she was not trying to damn her to something she did not want, but rather, she assumed her queen wanted to see if the boy was hiding anything related to the devils.

What they detected wasn't offensive, as if it was related to Angels or Fallen Angels, but they could not tell if he belonged to another faction or perhaps another pantheon. It was something they didn't know, so they need to start taking risks in order to find out what he is.

Sona didn't like this kind of risk, but perhaps she should entertain the idea for now. Besides, she was confident in her skills, and she would not go easy on him, no matter what his level of skill in the game was.

Danny shrugged as he picked up the game board and brought it over. "Sure, I don't mind playing since it won't be against someone that I am not friendly with. Again, I don't know if I am any good, but it would be a nice way to pass the time." He placed it on the table and sat down so they could start the game.

Sona took note that the person he was talking about was indeed someone he did not like. They could get some information from him during the game, so she will use this to learn more about him. She picked up one of the pieces and tried to see if there was any sort of power in them. It was to her relief that they were just normal pieces, no magic. "Well, which side would you like?"

Danny looked at the board before he grabbed it and spun it around, giving Sona the white pieces.

Sona looked at the switch before asking. "You don't want to go first?"

Danny shook his head. "I don't really mind which side I got, but I'm better with black pieces than white."

Tsubaki thought about what he said. Either he was saying that he was better when he is second to go, or he believes that the black pieces are better in the game. Amusing as the second option was, she figured it was the former that he meant.

Sona nodded as she looked at the board and started the game.

Bishop takes knight. Check

King to Rook 2.

Sona could say for sure that Danny was not an amateur in the game, nor was he one to give up so easily. This was the fifth game they had played. The first four games were easy wins for her, but he did not like the idea of losing so easily and asked for a rematch.

Rook to kings rook 3. Check

Bishop to rook 3

She also understood that he wasn't really one to strategize several steps ahead. He was more of a reactionary player and came up with a couple of steps he would take next and adjust if things went awry.

Bishop takes bishop

Rook to bishop 4

Tsubaki was nervous as she watched the match, as she was worried about her king and what the victory could mean for her. This was not what she expected from Danny. She assumed he would lose all his matches and show little to no improvement. But it was like he adapted to everything as it happened.

Rook takes rook

Pawn takes rook

Bishop to bishop 7

Queen takes knight pawn

Moves were played, eyes were focused, and the match was coming to a close as pieces were being removed from the board.

Sona would make a move, Danny would react, a white piece was taken, a black piece took its place before being taken out. Danny would take the lead, Sona would pull ahead and both were aiming for the win.

Tsubaki had lost track of the game and where it could go due to how Danny was not backing down from this. She had seen many challenge her to a chess game, and all of them would start to lose their nerve about halfway through the game. Maybe one or two would last a little longer, but Danny didn't ever seem to become nervous or pause in his actions to think of the move. She could see the focus on his face and could say that it was that of someone who has seen much in his life, almost a reflection of Sona. She looked back at the board and saw where the pieces were, and she knew the game was coming to a close.

Bishop to bishop 8. "Discover check…..And mate."

The last piece was placed, and the game was won.

The two looked at each other, seriously, before the tension was broken.

"Damn it! I thought I had you that time!" Danny fell back onto the ground with his arms stretched out.

Sona smiled at his reaction before she shook her head. "No, I had you on this path many turns ago. I was leading you to this end since then."

Danny sat up and looked at her. "Wait, what?! How?! When?!" he looked at the board as if it would have the answer. He thought he was winning since he had taken out more of her pieces this time than the other times. Now he is being told that she had led him to his loss.

Sona adjusted her glasses as she smiled. "If I told you, you wouldn't learn."

Tsubaki let out a silent breath of relief as she had actually lost track of the game and thought there was a possibility that Danny might have won.

Danny grumbled as he couldn't figure out how he was led to this. He swore that he could hear Vlad brag about not noticing the loss beforehand or something like that. 'Shut up, you damn Fruitloop!' He let out a sigh and leaned back on his hands. "Well, at least I lasted longer this time." He turned his head to look out the window and blinked as he saw that the sun had gone down. "But I didn't think I would last this long."

Sona and Tsubaki looked out the window as well and saw that it had indeed become nightfall.

Sona hummed as she stood up. "It was a good game, and I am also surprised it lasted this long. Perhaps next time we have a game, it should be much earlier."

Danny nodded as he looked back at the board. "Maybe. Gotta admit, this was actually fun. Not really my game but I am willing to try and beat you next time."

Sona nodded as she looked at her queen. "We should head out, Tsubaki, we still have some things we need to go through."

Tsubaki nodded before she looked at him. "Next time, we should get more done but you have improved in your ability to read and in your calligraphy."

Danny smiled gratefully at her. "Thanks a lot. I -"

Tsubaki and Sona noticed how he had stopped and sharply turned his head to the right, almost as if he had noticed something.

Danny looked back at the two girls as he walked them out the door. "Sorry about that. Something caught my attention."

Tsubaki and Sona looked at each other as they were interested in knowing what it was, but they let it be for now.

The three were now standing outside his house as they bid each other farewell.

Sona nodded at Danny. "We will see you at school, Danny."

Danny nodded as he watched them leave. He stood there at his door and waited a few moments before he went back in, with a serious expression on his face.

Sona and Tsubaki were walking down the street as they discussed what they had figured out while at his place.

Tsubaki started out. "Far as I could tell, the individual could possibly be affiliated with the devils, but he doesn't seem to truly be knowledgeable about it. Perhaps this individual is grooming him."

Sona thought about it as well. "That could be a possibility, but there are too many details missing for it to be as such. The questions I asked him during the matches revealed that he knows very little about the supernatural. If I had to guess, he is on the level of the general public when it comes to our kind."

Tsubaki nodded. "But it could be all a facade. I believe we should continue observing him as the power he used to have around him is gone, but that does not mean that he is free of it. We should keep guard over him until we are absolutely sure." She looked at her king and smiled almost knowingly. "With how appealing you are with him, perhaps-"

"Tsubaki, I am only interested in him due to what threat he could pose for us. I would appreciate it if you would not suddenly put my future on the line in order to obtain information."

Tsubaki stopped walking and bowed to her. "I am sorry about that. I did not consider he would be skilled enough to give you a game."

Sona stopped walking as well and turned to her queen. "Never assume anything until we are absolutely sure. For now, let's go." Suddenly, a magic circle appeared under them as they disappeared from the area.

~ a little later, elsewhere~

Danny was walking through the woods with his hands in his jacket pockets and a serious expression on his face. He had waited a few minutes after Sona and Tsubaki left before he left his house and began to make his way toward his destination.

This had been bugging him for a while, and he was at first letting it go, but it has been going on for far too long. He could not let this go any longer.

He wouldn't.

He stopped in front of an abandoned house and glared up at it as he could feel it coming from inside. He looked around till he saw the door and made his way to it. He pushed the double doors open and walked in with purpose. His eyes scanned the darkness as the only light was the moon. He made his way deeper into the building as he put his hands in his pockets. He was slouched forward as he followed his senses. He walked past several rooms till he came upon another set of double doors. It was when he stood in front of them that his nose picked up the scent he was familiar with. His eyes flashed green before he brought his foot up and kicked the doors open. He walked in and walked forward.

"Well, who is this?"

Danny's eyes shifted to his right as he heard the voice, but he kept walking forward.

"What a delicious-looking young boy. But why would you come here? What reason would such a handsome thing like you come to see me?"

Danny kept walking till he stopped in the middle of the room. "Why don't you stop with the theatrics and come out?" He was in no mood for this kind of encounter.

Out of the shadows came a woman with long black hair and her breasts exposed. "Oh, what's wrong, little boy? Did I do something to upset you?"

Danny took a step back in shock at the sight of her bare form, and he blushed heavily. "What the hell!?"

The woman smiled widely before she brought her hands to her large breasts and began to fondle them. "Aw, what's wrong, cutie, see something you like? Ahn~ if you'd like, I would let you touch them." She began to pinch her nipple with one hand while the other ran down her body to her nether region, which was hidden in the shadows

Danny blushed even more as he watched the woman, pretty much masturbate in front of him. He had no idea how the hell he was supposed to react to this, but he was sure that his head was getting lightheaded with the blood that was heading up to his skull. He couldn't see her lower half, and it was then that he noticed something odd. She looked like she was levitating several feet above the ground. Though he looked away as he saw her nipples begin to leak a liquid, and the woman began to drool. It was then that he noticed what was wrong with her. Her teeth were sharp like fangs, her tongue was long, oh, and her lower body was nowhere near normal.

Her lower body was almost like another massive torso that was attached to a lion's body and had a snake head for a tail. "Aw, are you getting all hot and bothered by me?"

Danny was sure he had seen this kind of body before in one of Sam's books about some mythical animal, but he couldn't remember. "What the hell are you?" Before he could think of anything else, he gasped out a blue mist, and he looked to his left at a specific spot in the room. His blush and shock faded away, and he slowly walked toward what his senses told him was there.

The woman watched the boy ignore her and walk to the side. "Hey, what's got your attention now?" She moved closer, almost stalking him as he walked.

Danny stopped suddenly, and he looked down at the floor. He took a knew and looked at something right in front of him.

The woman was starting to get irritated at how he was acting as if she wasn't even there. She was about to bring down one of her large hands but became curious when he reached out and waved his hand till something blue appeared.

Danny stretched out his hand in front of him before he swirled it, and a small transparent blue flame appeared and floated over his palm. He looked at the flame with a solemn expression. "What happened?"

"..."

Danny nodded. "I'm sorry. If I had come sooner, maybe you wouldn't have ended up like this."

"..."

"I'm sorry, but there is nothing I can do to fix this. All I can do is send you on your way." He cupped the flame with both hands before his hands started to glow green. "Do not let the chains of the living keep you. Find your freedom in the life beyond and find your way home." The blue flame gained a hue of green before it faded and whisped away. He watched as the blue flame disappeared from the area, and he smiled at how he was able to send the soul away.

The blue flame was the soul of someone who had just died.

As a ghost, he is aware of these whisps, and he is able to send them safely into the afterlife

He stood back up as he looked up at the ceiling. He took a deep breath before slowly turning to the monster woman, with an expression of silent rage.

The look on the boy almost caused her to back off, but she knew that he was nothing but a mere human. "Aw, what's that look for? Did something happen with whatever that blue flame was that you feel the need to -"

"Shut up!" His fists tightened as small bits of ecto energy began to leak through his fingers.

She frowned at being interrupted, but she was interested when he began to walk toward her.

"That soul told me that you have been killing random people for the past month. Eating them or crushing them with a set of large teeth. Do you have any idea what happens to someone when they are murdered or killed in such a gruesome way?!"

She scoffed before her mouth began to twitch, and it burst into a large maw. The torso under her ripped open, and a set of massive fangs appeared and were closing in on him. "Like I give a shit about the dead!" She didn't know what he was on about, but why should she care about the ones she's eaten, and what she was about to eat? She closed the maw down on him and was ready to taste his sweet blood. But much to her shock, when her massive body maw clamped down on him, he caught both ends in his hands and kept them open. As she looked down at him, she saw him raise his head to look up at her with glowing green eyes.

"Well, the dead have something to say." A circle of light appeared under his feet before a stream of energy began to run up his body and change his appearance.

His shoes changed to be mostly black, the front of the shoes remains white, with the white band becoming black. His pants shifted to black with the strip in the center becoming white, and the pocket became white with a neon green latch. His shirt remained white, but the lower red bar became green, the upper gray bar became black, and the color around his neck became neon green. His jacket's main color became black, with the sleeves becoming white with a green line around the hem, and the hood becoming white as well. His hair flashed to white and his eyes became glowing neon green.

Sona and her peerage were discussing what they had discovered about Danny when they all froze and turned in the same direction. Each of their eyes were wide as they could feel the power.

Saji took a step back as he asked. "What is that?!"

Sona and Tsubaki looked at each other as they recognized it. It was the same sort of feeling they got around Danny.

But monumentally more powerful.

Rias was taking a shower when she felt the surge and froze at the feeling.

Akeno came into the bathroom of the clubroom. "Rias!"

"I know, Akeno!" Rias came out of the shower, forgoing drying off the conventional way, and used her magic to quickly dry and get dressed.

In the clubroom, they were all staring in the same direction, with Koneko shuffling back as she did not like the feeling that was coming from whatever it was.

Multiple people from different areas stopped what they were doing as they felt an increase in power.

They all could not understand what this power was, but they all had the same thought.

"What power."

The monster woman flinched back at the sudden change in front of her. "What the-" She suddenly felt immense pain in her chin as Danny jumped up and gave her a hard uppercut that threw her into the air.

Danny flew above her before his fist lit up in green energy as he pulled it back. "HHhaarrrgghh!" He slammed his fist into the bleeding face, sending the bitch back to the ground.

She crashed into the ground, causing the concrete to cave in and make a crater. She found her body unresponsive as the two hits that came from the boy caused so much damage. She could move her hand, but if she tried to move her arm, she could tell that it was snapped. She heard the boy land next to her, and her eyes shifted up as she heard his steps get closer.

Danny stopped over the upper torso of this monster woman as he remained angry at the woman. "I'm the messenger for the dead, hope you heard it loud and clear." He took a breath to ease his emotions. "Be glad I held back. I hate taking the life of anyone or anything, and even if you are a monster, you are still alive." He crouched down with his arms hanging between his legs as he pointed at her. "Know that if you die, and I find out that you continued to murder and consume people because of your own sick pleasure, I will find you and you will see how I am when I have a louder message."

She growled as she did not like being talked down to by a boy that hasn't even hit puberty. "I'll fucking shred you to pieces." She coughed up blood as it continued to just leak out of her.

Danny's angered look vanished as he stood up. In his usual teasing tone, he responded. "Well, next time we meet, maybe I'll go easy on you." He paused as that weird tingle feeling he usually got in the area just grew stronger. "I don't know what that is, but I am not in the mood for anything else today." He began to walk away from her. "Maybe now that you heard my warning, I can stop feeling every single death you caused." He jumped in the air before flying upward and vanishing from the visible spectrum.

Just then, the double doors burst open, and both Rias and Sona's peerage ran into the room.

Momo looked up as she called out. "It's leaving!"

Sona looked at Tsubasa and ordered. "Tsubasa, follow that energy and report back to me where it goes!" She expected her Rook to nod and obey the order, but she just stood there

Tsubasa shook her head before looking at her king. "I don't need to. That's the same energy we felt around Danny when we were tracking him before, and he got past us."

Sona's lips thinned as that just solidified their assumptions about the boy. She let out a sigh as this meant they needed to change how they handled him now. But that was for later. She looked over to someone they did not expect to find so soon. "Viser." She walked up to the monster woman, seeing the damage done to her with shattered body parts and broken off teeth pieces. "Tell me, who was it that did this to you and how?"

Viser spat out some blood from her mouth as she stubbornly defied the devils. "Find out yourself, you flat chested bitch. Maybe if you mess with him he will shove a fist up your dry cunt-" SHe was interrupted when Sona placed a foot on her head.

Sona was not in the mood to listen to the obscenities of this stray devil. She looked over her head and asked her friend. "Rias, would you do the honors. I was originally going to let you handle her when we got more details on where she was hiding out."

Rias nodded, stepping forward as she lifted her palm, and her destruction energy appeared. "We would have liked more information from you about the one that defeated you, but we will just have to make do with consulting him ourselves."

Viser was about to say something, but she was then destroyed by Rias's destruction energy.

Once the stray was gone, she looked at Sona. "I guess we know where that energy was coming from."

Sona nodded as she thought about what this could mean. "We cannot allow him to do as he pleases in our territory. I don't know what his reason for being here is, but we need to establish where he stands and if he is a threat."

Rias nodded as she agreed with Sona. "But when we do, we shouldn't do this alone. I believe that when we confront him, all of us should be in attendance. That power he had…. It was not something I believe we can handle."

Sona nodded. "We should be ready for a fight, but not come on as a threat."

Rias had a bead of sweat run down her face as she bit her thumb's nail. She thought about what she could do now, till she remembered what she had planned for another male that was on her radar. "If you are willing to hold on a few more days, I want to bring Issei into my peerage. I don't know the power that he possesses, but if it is something that can give us an edge, we should take it."

Sona didn't like holding off when they had a solid lead now, but Rias was right. Anything they could add to their arsenal would be beneficial in the long run. "Alright. Once you have Issei in your peerage and up to speed, we will move on to Danny."

Saji groaned as he didn't like the idea of Issei being part of their world, but it wasn't up to him. And he was at least happy that neither Danny nor Issei would be joining Sona's peerage based on how the tension was about the black haired foreigner.

Danny phased into his room before transforming back to his human form. He landed on the ground before letting out a sigh and making his way to his bed. He flopped onto his mattress and groaned into his pillow. "What the hell was that?" He knew that the monster woman wasn't a ghost, but that didn't help him in figuring out what she was. "I thought ghosts were the only thing I had to deal with, now I find a horny monster woman that killed….. Way too many people." He rolled onto his back and stared at the ceiling. "I thought this was supposed to be a way for me to have a normal school life, why do I get the feeling things are gonna get weirder than when I was back home?" He let out a sigh and decided that he was done for the day, and it was time for sleep. "Maybe this is a one-off, and my luck will get better now." It might have been wishful thinking, but he would like it if his life got better than just fighting.

In front of Danny's house on the street was a figure, staring up at the window that led into the boy's room. "So, you are here." Came a woman's voice as she remained there watching the window for a few more minutes. A flash of silver was seen before a magic circle appeared under her, and she vanished from the area.

Chapter 7 Start

Danny yawned as he covered his mouth with his hand. "Man, I go a few days without having to stay up so late, and the moment I choose to stay up trying to find anything about that weird thing, I wake up like I've never done it before." He thought about how he had gone back to that abandoned building to see if that monster woman was still there.

He knew that he scared her enough to listen to him since he could sense her fear when he was threatening her, but he still wanted to make sure she didn't do anything else. But much to his chagrin, there wasn't any sign of her. He flew around the area invisibly, but there was no sign of her. He hoped that the woman had left and remembered his warning, as he would not want to deal with feeling every death she did. Then again, the reason he could feel each of her victims was because she was relatively close.

"Hey, Danny."

He looked up to see Muruyama looking down at him.

"Are you just gonna sit there all day, or are you gonna practice?" She tapped her shinai on her shoulder as she was waiting for him to respond.

Danny looked at the ring and saw that he was supposed to go as his opponent for the day was waiting for him. "Sorry, I had some stuff on my mind." He pushed himself up and made his way to the ring. He heard the cheers come from the crowd that was around the entrance and couldn't help but chuckle nervously. He looked at the crowd and waved timidly, causing them to go crazier than before. As he made it to his spot, he couldn't help but feel like he was being watched and not in the normal way. It was almost like it was intense and focused on him for other reasons than the other crowd members. Once he made it to his spot, he readied himself, all the while trying to figure out why he had this weird feeling.

The match went off normally, and he was able to win without any effort. He did have to hand it to Emily, since she was able to get one hit in on him. Whether it was because he was distracted or she had gotten better, he couldn't tell you, but he complimented her about it anyway. Once he was free to take a break, he moved over to the side and sat with the other kendo members. He leaned his head on the wall with his eyes closed as he tried to calm himself. Though the conversation that the girls next to him were having caught his ear.

"Can you believe that pervert got himself a girlfriend?"

"I know. Who in their right mind would want to date Issei of all people?"

Danny's eyes shot open as what he heard was the most outrageous thing he had heard since getting here. Issei was, without a doubt, one of the most hated individuals in the school, along with his two friends. To hear he got a girlfriend was something he never thought he would hear. After a minute of being in shock and staring at the ceiling with wide eyes, he calmed down and decided that it wasn't his business. 'Ok, he isn't really the best representation of the male side of human beings, but he isn't the most despicable being on the planet. I mean, Johnny has Kitty, and he flirts with every girl he sees, even when Kitty is right there with him. So the saying "there is someone out there for everyone" applies here.' He paused as he thought about it and grimaced. 'Actually, Issei is worse than Johnny.'

"Do you think he blackmailed her?"

"Maybe he is using her for his own perverted desires."

Danny was not gonna be able to relax while listening to them talk about how Issei is using some sort of blackmail material to force the girl to be his girlfriend. He didn't know Issei personally, but there was no real evidence that Issei would do that. He gave a flat look at the ceiling as he hoped that they would move on to another subject.

Danny looked up at the school building in the direction of the Student Council office, feeling a little dejected as it seemed that Souna and Tsubaki were really on edge about something. He went to them in order to ask them for some help with calligraphy, and to just have some friendly conversation, but when he entered the office, it was like they were walking on eggshells.

~Flashback~

Danny entered the student council office and saw Souna sitting at her desk. As he walked over to it, he noticed that she had her hands steepled together and was looking at him with a fierce analytical expression. He wasn't sure what it was that he had done for her to be this serious, but the room was so tense that he figured he should be careful.

As he got closer, he walked past Saji, who he could tell was mad at him. Heck, Danny could tell that if he used any of his usual snark, the guy would probably throw a punch.

Danny stood in front of the desk and almost felt like he was on trial. He nervously rubbed the back of his head as he asked. "Um, I feel like I'm on trial for something. Did I do something wrong?"

Souna mumbled in her hand as she focused on him. "That has yet to be seen. Anyway, is there a reason for your visit, Danny?"

Now, Danny really didn't want to be here. It felt like anything he said would be immediately shut down. "Uh, I wanted to ask if you could help me out like you did last time. I did get better at writing, but there are still a few things I would like an extra opinion on."

Tsubaki stopped forward and adjusted her glasses so the glare covered her eyes. "Unfortunately, we are exceptionally busy and won't be able to aid you anymore. I would recommend that you practice on your own and review the reference material that you have accumulated."

Danny looked at the girl and was sure that she was looking at him as if he had insulted her or something. "Oh, is there anything I can do to help?"

Saji stepped forward and spoke in a harsh tone. "No, you don't need to help us at all."

Danny was not appreciating the attitude and decided that reading lightly was not going to happen. "Sheesh, if you are going to try and bite my head off, why don't you just use the knife meant to cut the atmosphere?"

Saji growled as he stepped closer. "Why you-!"

"Saji!"

Saji stopped his advancement as Souna called him, and the tone said he was about to mess up.

Souna looked at her peerage member before focusing on Danny. "I'm sorry, Danny, but we don't have the time to assist you. Perhaps when things ease up, we can help you."

Danny nodded to her before he turned around and began to leave. "I don't know what the issue is with all of you, but you guys look like I did something to make you suspicious of me. Far as I know, I've followed the rules and haven't done anything wrong."

Tsubaki cleared her throat as she shifted her eyes so as not to look at him.

Souna kept her eyes on him, unblinking.

Danny looked at everyone before letting out a sigh. "Fine. I don't know what's with you, but obviously, you don't want me here, so I'm heading home." He turned around and headed toward the door.

"Danny."

Danny looked over his shoulder with a raised eyebrow.

Souna took a breath before speaking, normally. "We are just….concerned about something that surrounds you. Nothing against you….personally."

Danny tilted his head before shrugging. In a dismissive tone, he grabbed the doorknob. "If that were true, you are really terrible at suggesting otherwise." With that, he left the office.

~Flashback end~

Danny could tell that they were looking at him as if he were inferior or something they should be against. He knew this because he had dealt with it from his previous school and his enemies. He may have acted a little too harshly, but if he had to guess, it was because he thought it would be different here than it was back at home.

He turned around and started heading to the school entrance so he could head home. Since the meetup with Souna's group, he was now in a foul mood, and he needed something to take his mind off things. 'But what can I do?'

"Excuse me?"

Danny paused when he heard someone speak to him. He looked to the right of the school gate and saw a girl standing there. He looked around and noticed that there wasn't anyone else around, so he figured that she was calling him. He pointed at himself as he asked. "You mean me?"

The girl nodded. "Yes, can I ask you something?"

Danny shrugged as he walked toward her. As he walked closer, he took in her features.

She was a girl around his age, wearing a red blazer and a short green skirt. She had long black hair and purple eyes. She had a smile on her face, and she gave off the vibes of a cheery, happy girl.

As Danny got closer, he couldn't put his finger on it, but there was something off about her. He got this weird feeling about her, but it wasn't like the one he had when he arrived, nor was it like the one he got when he sensed a ghost. But he wasn't going to act on it since it might be just something random or something off with his senses, since she looked like a normal girl.

Once he was right in front of her, he asked. "What's up? Do you need something?"

The girl nodded as she nervously asked. "I wanted to ask if you know someone named Issei."

Danny raised an eyebrow before he nodded. "Yeah, lot of people in this school know him." He looked at the girl's uniform and made a guess that she must not go to the school since the uniform she is in is different from the one here.

The girl let out a relieved sigh. "Oh, good. Can you tell me where he is? I wanted to walk home with him, but he hasn't come out yet."

Danny wondered why the girl was waiting for Issei, but before he could say anything, someone else called out.

"Hey, Yumo!"

Danny turned around to see Issei running toward them.

Issei stopped in front of the two, looking at them before asking. "What are you doing here, Danny?"

Danny shrugged his shoulders as he pointed at Yumo. "She called out to me to ask about you. Seems that she was waiting for you and wanted to know if I had seen you or something." He looked at the girl before looking back at Issei. "By the way, who is she?"

Issei smiled, almost triumphantly, as he introduced the girl. "This is Yumo, she's my girlfriend."

Danny looked at the girl, and he could now understand why everyone thought that it was difficult to believe. 'She is waaaay too out of his league, but it's her choice… no matter how unbelievable it is.' Smiling at the two, he nodded. "Well, I gotta congratulate you. From what everyone has said in school, you getting a girlfriend was hard to believe." He got serious as he looked at him. "Just treat her right. And don't do any of your normal….. Jokes." He still remembered when he and his friends peeked on the girls while they were changing. He just hoped that having a girlfriend would straighten him out.

Issei looked really smug as he patted Danny's shoulder. "Oh, I'll treat her right. I'll treat her like she is the most important thing in the world."

Yumo giggled as she wrapped her arms around Issei's. "Oh, thank you, Issei."

Issei had a blush on his face as he smiled at Yumo. He then turned to Danny and once again smiled smugly. "Jealous?" He then walked away with Yumo in his arms.

Danny raised an eyebrow as he watched them leave. "I can't tell if he is happy to have a girlfriend or that he has something to brag about to others." He let out a sigh before he started walking away from the school. "Now I get the feeling he is gonna be just as bad as Johnny. Well, it's not really my problem."

~Sunday~

Danny was walking around the streets, looking for something to do. Since he didn't have any of the magazines that had any of the tourist spots on it, he was just wandering around. Yet it was as he was walking that he thought about what the issue with Souna and her group was. 'It's not like I broke any rules. Maybe someone reported to them that I did something. Only ones I can think that would want to get me in trouble are the pervert trio, but their rep is so bad that I can't see Souna believing them.' He huffed as thinking about it was just ruining his mood. He looked around and didn't see anything interesting, so he figured that he might as well go home and just play some games. 'Or I could go for a flight, but I have to wait till it's dark before I do that.' He looked at his watch and saw that it was barely 5, so there was still time till he could do that.

"Hey!"

Danny paused as he heard a cheery voice call out, and he turned around to see who was calling out and to whom.

It was a slender girl around his age, with blonde hair, blue eyes, and a bright smile that was calling out to him. She was wearing a black and white gothic lolita outfit with knee-high socks.

Danny saw that she was looking at him, and figured that she was calling to him, though he didn't know why.

The girl skipped over to him and looked him up and down as she circled him. "Hmmmm, yeah."

Danny followed her as she walked around him, checking him out as if he were some fascinating specimen. It was as she was closer to him that she could get this weird feeling from her. One that he was sure he got from the girl that Issei was with, Yumo.

The girl continued to circle around him before she smiled and stood in front of him. She then pointed at him as she cheerfully stated. "Yeah! You're perfect."

Danny was startled by the declaration, and his arm was suddenly grabbed by the girl. "What the?" He felt her tug his arm as he asked. "What are you doing?"

The girl smiled at him before she gave him a gentle tug. "I've been looking for a cool guy that I can spend time with." She let go of his arm and pointed at his face as she cheerfully proclaimed. "And you hit all the marks for the coolest guy I've met."

Danny was a little stunned by the random declaration and had no idea what to say about it. "Uh…"

The girl giggled before she wrapped her arms around his left arm and began to lead him away. "Come on, I promise, it's gonna be fun!"

Danny began to be dragged away as his mind couldn't understand what the heck was going on. "Who are you anyway?!"

The girl looked up at him as she smiled, and had one tooth poking out from under her upper lip, almost like a fang. "My name is Milly! What about you?"

Danny blinked as he answered in uncertainty. "Uh….Danny?" He wasn't sure why it came out as a question, but he still didn't get it.

Milly giggled as she slowed down and was now walking with her arms around his arm and leaning her head on his arm. "Well, come on, Danny, you're gonna love it, I promise."

Danny blushed as this was once again something he was not used to. "Uh, ok?"

Akihabara.

That was a place Danny had only ever read about, but being here was by far the most epic thing he had done while out. If Tucker were here, he would completely drop dead in shock before his ghost would come out and fly into the shops with all the tech or tech-based products inside.

Model shops, Danny had never seen so many different types of figurines in his life. From magical girls to mechs. From cartoons to anime, and then to animated dramas, there were models of almost everything. They spent a lot of time here, looking at the different models they sold. Danny looked at a lot of the space shuttle models and mechs. Milly would ask him about the shuttles, and he would go off on a small tangent on the missions the shuttles were on, the construction of the shuttle, and the experiments that they had to do in order to make them work.

There were even some figurines of some of the old cartoons he watched when he was younger, and some of the shows that Tucker and Sam watched.

Milly looked at several of the figurines of anime girls, and she would ask Danny how she might look if she wore their outfits. Danny couldn't help but blush as he noticed that the figurines she would point out would have skirts that were way too short for any sort of fight they would be in.

They left those shops with several bags as they bought a good amount of things. Danny had a smile on his face as he bought several models of shuttles and satellites from America and other well-known spacecrafts, along with some anime spaceships, mainly because they looked cool.

Milly bought some magical girl figures, the ones she said she could dress up as later on.

Speaking of.

Costume shops were next of their stops. Milly had a blast in these shops as she would grab cosplays of different characters and show them off to Danny, asking him how she looked in each one. From princess cosplays, magical girl cosplays, different frilly dresses, overall, she had gone through a lot of dresses, each one having different appeals. She would even go into detail about character details and explain how they ended up as a magical girl. And after some begging and some big puppy eyes, Milly was able to get Danny to cosplay as a swordsman with two well-made model swords.

Not how Danny thought he would end up, but hey, no harm, no foul.

They were now walking the streets, with Milly carrying one bag, while Danny carried ten.

Milly danced around as she was super excited about getting all of these cool items. "I knew bringing you along was the best choice I could make."

Danny let out a huff as he looked at the bags he had in his arms. "I'm starting to feel like you only brought me to be a pack mule."

Milly pouted as she turned around, threw her arms down, and stomped one foot on the ground repeatedly. "I did not bring you with me because I wanted a pack mule! I brought you because I thought you were super cool looking!" She stood up straight, with pouting cheeks as she crossed her arms and turned her head. "And besides, a lot of the stuff in there is also your stuff."

Danny paused for a moment before he shrugged, as it was true. Two bags had large model sets he could work on later on, one of them had the costume that Milly told him he should get, and one long bag had one of the sword models. The costume was because Milly pushed him to do it, and the sword was the blue one that he thought looked really cool. "You got me there."

Milly was still in a pouty mood before she turned around and huffed. "Well, I'm mad at you, so Imma go get something to munch on." She started to march away. "You stay here."

Danny tilted his head as he had no idea why she was in such a bad mood. Shrugging, he moved over to a bench and took a seat. "She's a very moody girl, still, I can say that this wasn't a complete waste of a day." He looked at the stuff he was carrying and imagined himself working on the models and then painting them. "Wonder if I should work on the Apollo or Sputnik. Hmm, maybe I'll do Sputnik first." He smiled as he was excited about working on those, before his eyes shifted to the long bag that had the model sword. 'Wonder if I can make one like that with my ice powers.' As he thought about it, he noticed something in his periphery and turned his head to the right, and was surprised to see Issei and Yumo dressed up and arm in arm. He blinked at the sight as he figured out what they were doing. "Must be on a date." He nodded before he turned forward and leaned back on the bench. "Looks like he is taking this seriously as he walked by several girls, but he didn't look at any of them. Good for him."

"I'm back~!"

Danny looked up to see Milly smiling down at him. In her hands were two ice cream cones. One of mint with chocolate chips, the other chocolate.

Milly held out the chocolate ice cream as she took a bite of the mint ice cream. She hummed in glee before looking at Danny. "Here, I wanted something sweet, so I figured it was time for ice cream."

Danny looked at the ice cream before he took it and nodded in gratitude. "Thanks." He took a bite of his ice cream before he stood up. "So, what else is there to do here?" He wasn't doubting that there was anything else; he was just excited to see what more Akihabara had to offer.

Milly smiled as she turned around and pumped her free hand in the air. "Let's go to the arcade! I know an awesome dancing game we can try!"

She had him at "arcade". He picked up the bags as he let some of them hang on his elbow while he continued to eat his ice cream. As he followed Milly, he thought to himself. '...is this a date? I mean, it kinda seems like it, but I just met her hours ago.'

As the two walked off toward the arcade, they were being watched by Momo and Tsubaki, who were a block away.

Tsubaki hummed in thought as she watched Danny and the girl walk away.

Momo crossed her arms as she asked. "So, what do we do? If Danny is affiliated with them, do we confront him directly or subtly bring it up?"

Tsubaki shook her head as she held her arms under her bust. "From what we saw, he might not know about her affiliation. It would be wise for us to get more concrete evidence of where he stands with them before we do anything. And it would be best that we confront him with our full might. Alert Sona, we will wait until the opportune moment to meet them."

Momo nodded as she pulled out her phone to message Sona. She could have used magic, but they didn't want to be detected.

Tsubaki still wasn't sure about whether Danny was affiliated with the Fallen Angels. They had only witnessed them together, not if they met up intentionally. Her mind still thought of the possibility that the Fallen Angels were just interested in whatever power he had, but they should not take any chances. Especially since there is ample material that is not in Danny's favor.

~later~

The sun was setting as Danny and Milly left Akihabara and were heading back toward Danny's home.

Danny enjoyed his time in Akihabara so much that he mentally told himself he was going to go back another time when he was feeling down. Especially that arcade, since there were a lot of games that he had never heard of or seen. He is also going to take a picture of the place so he can send it to Tucker, mainly to mess with the tech geek.

Milly was walking in front of him, with her hands behind her back and taking exaggerated steps. "Today was super fun! Thanks for coming with me on this trip."

Danny was also in a good mood as he had fun throughout the entire trip at Akihabara. "I'm honestly glad you randomly came out of nowhere and dragged me to Akihabara. Didn't know what I was going to do today until you did this." Despite how he had said this, he had a gut feeling that there was something wrong about the area. He had felt something about the town he was now living in, but this area, which was a bridge he had walked on several times, felt altered. It was different from the one he gets from the town, but he knew he felt it before. The moment he met Milly and Yumo. If his experiences taught him anything, it would be that coincidences are rarer than intentional situations. It was as his awareness of something going on that he noticed one major thing.

There was no one else around.

'Pleeease let this just be me being paranoid and not someone trying to kill me,... or someone that is going to try and kill me, ….or someone manipulating this so they can try and kill me…. Wow, there is not a single moment where I get to have fun, and someone isn't trying to kill me.' He focused his eyes on Milly before he asked. "Hey, Milly, I gotta ask, and don't take this the wrong way, but why did you ask me specifically to join you? I mean, there must have been other guys that you could have asked."

Milly stopped walking as she looked up at the sky, while not turning to face him. "Hmm, you're right, there were a lot of other cute guys that I could have asked, but there was something about you that really caught my attention." She turned her head to look over her shoulder with more dangerous, seductive eyes.

Danny didn't like the look he saw in her eyes, and he put the bags on the ground as he maintained his casual demeanor. "Really? Like what?"

Milly giggled as she twirled her body, with her leg extended, and faced him, looking cutesy. She skipped over to Danny as she spoke. "Before I tell you, do you mind if I ask you something?

Danny watched her get closer to him and noticed a black feather fall from above. Once she was close to him, almost nose to nose, he asked. "Uh, sure, what is it?" he wasn't used to this kind of closeness from a cute girl. He knew something was up, but that didn't stop his awkward side from popping up.

Milly giggled as she saw him being nervous and smiled wider. "Can you….." Her cute demeanor grew seductive as her wide, bright eyes narrowed. "Die for me?"

Danny saw her pull her arm back as a bright red energy spear formed in her hand. 'Great, just my luck.' He saw her jump back before a pair of big, black bird wings emerged from her back. 'Ok, that's new.'

Milly jumped into the air before she placed a finger on her chin. "My real name is Mittelt, and I've been tasked to kill you." Flying higher, she smiled cruelly at Danny. "Before you die, let me tell you, that was the most annoying time I've had in my life. I mean, come on, who in their right mind would want to go to such a place where losers gather?"

Danny frowned at her as he didn't like the way she was mocking not only him but those who enjoyed that stuff.

Mittelt saw his frown and laughed haughtily. "Aw, did I hurt your feelings? Well, too bad for you…" She pulled her arm back as her smile grew wide as she reveled in insulting him. "This will be THE LAST THING YOU HEAR!" She threw the spear at Danny, waiting for it to pierce through him.

The spear flew toward Danny, and he stared at it. "Yep, just my luck."

Mittelt watched as Danny was struck by the spear, and he fell back off the bridge down to the water below. As the flash of her spear was seen when he fell off, she laughed at how easy and amusing it was to kill him. "What a loser. Getting all happy going out with a cute girl like me, only to die pathetically and fall into the water." She lowered herself to the ground and skipped toward the edge. "Maybe his body will dissolve in the water and never be found again." As she got closer, she thought out loud. "Whatever Sacred Gear he had sure didn't help him out in the end, but now we don't have to worry about it at all." She looked over the edge, excited to see his blood seep into the water as it flowed away. But as she looked down, she tilted her head as she didn't see any red from his body. In fact, she couldn't see his body. "Hey, where is his body?! I don't see his body!"

"Get some glasses, CAUSE I'M RIGHT HERE!"

Next thing Mittelt knew was a white fist slamming into her face from below, and she was sent flipping into the air before crashing back down to the ground. She held her face in pain from the unexpected blow before she slowly opened her eyes to see who it was that hit her.

Floating in the air a foot away from the bridge was who she assumed was Danny, as the hairstyle was the same, but apart from that, it might have been a different person, since his expression was much different from the carefree one he had before.

Mittelt stared at him as he floated there. "How…?" She pulled her hand away from her face and saw that she was bleeding. "You hit me! You hit a girl!"

Danny raised an eyebrow as he floated down till landing on the railing. "Is this a thing? Is every girl that I hit going to bring up how I hit a girl, and that I shouldn't do something like that, as they try to put a hole in my chest?" He uncrossed his arms as he kicked off the ground and floated a few feet higher. "Yeah, not gonna happen."

Mittelt pushed herself off the ground as she flew up and glared at him. "Even so, how can you hit me after everything we did today?"

Danny frowned as he was annoyed by how things ended up. "This isn't the first time I was manipulated through a date in order to get at me." 'Ow, even saying it hurts me.'

Mittelt's glare grew as she summoned another Light spear before she threw it at Danny.

Danny got into his fighting stance before he flew toward her, shifting his body to let the spear fly past him.

Mittelt yelped when she saw him flying toward her and dodging her spear before she flew back to get some distance. She brought her hands up as a blast of magic was sent toward him.

Danny was shocked to see her send out a blast, but he reacted on instinct and went intangible.

Mittelt watched as the blast overtook him, knowing that it hit him straight on, and she let the blast die down. She let out a sigh of relief when she saw that his body was turned into ash before she brought her hand to her nose and wiped the blood that was there. "Ugh, cocky bastard. Got smug all because he hit a girl. He's no gentleman."

"And here I thought I was the pinnacle of manners." He came in from above and hit her with a flying kick, sending her crashing to the ground.

She hit the ground face-first before bouncing off and landing on her back. She looked up to see that he was still there, not a sign of any damage from her blast. "What?"

Danny smirked as he flew toward her with his fist pulled back. "Now you see me-" He turned invisible as his voice echoed. "Now you don't."

Mittelt's eyes went wide as she got up and looked around for any sign of him."Where-?" She was hit in the side of the face by an invisible force. The hit was hard enough to lift her off her feet and twirled in the air. She was able to catch herself this time and flew higher as she summoned another light spear and threw it at Danny.

Danny landed on his feet and coated his hand in ecto energy.

Mittelt lost all her spirit when she saw him reach out and grab the spear by the center, as the force caused him to force his arm back.

Danny held the spear in his hand as he turned forward, brought it up to his face, and looked it over. He hummed in interest as he brought his other hand to it and poked it with his finger. After not feeling anything, he tapped it with four of his fingers and realized it didn't hurt him. He pulled back the ecto energy from his hand and looked it over. "Huh, I thought this was energy, but it feels solid." He turned it in his hand before it dissipated. "Whoa, ok, so it was made of energy."

Mittelt was trembling as she had never seen anyone catch a light spear before, and not only that, it looked like it didn't even burn him. In a trembling voice, she wondered to herself. "I-I thought he might have been a devil, but he isn't reacting to the holy light of my spear. W-what is he?"

Danny looked up at Mittelt and gave a cocky smirk as he put his curiosity aside. "Well, time to take down the pigeon." He bent his legs before he launched himself at Mittelt.

Since she was so out of it, she was unable to react in time as he flew around her and grabbed her wings. "What!?"

Danny then flew them back down and slammed her onto the ground. He pressed his left arm on the back of her neck as his right hand held onto her wing. "Now, you're not like the monster I dealt with before, and you have bird wings, but not the weirdest thing I've seen. Now, what is your deal with me?"

Mittelt turned her head to look up at him and stared into his glaring neon green eyes as she felt fear. 'He's going to kill me! I'm gonna die! I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die! I don't wanna die!' Tears started to fall from her eyes as she knew that because of this, she was about to die at the hands of the guy she was sent to kill, because he gave off a weird feeling, and they wanted to make sure no one with a Sacred gear could stop them from doing the ritual to take the foolish nun's Sacred gear. They had done everything they could to avoid the eyes of the devils, but they never expected this guy to be a fighter since he looked like a normal human.

Danny narrowed his eyes as he looked at her and could see the sheer terror on her face. He knew that he shouldn't, but he let out a sigh and got off of her. 'Damn hero complex.' He knew that this might bite him in the ass later on, but he couldn't help but let her go. ' I let a monster go with a warning, why not this psycho black winged girl that tried to kill me. Not like everyone I've met hasn't tried to kill me before. And since she isn't a ghost either, I can't just shove her in a thermos and leave her there for a week. He started walking toward the bags that he left on the ground, not looking back at her.

Mittelt's gaze followed Danny as he walked away from her. "W-why?"

Danny made it to the bags and bent down as he began to look through them. "You're not the first one to try to kill me, nor are you the first to use a date as a way to get rid of me." He pulled out some of the things in the bag before putting them into a single bag. "I let the monster that killed someone go with a warning, and a harsh beating that would have buried a lot of people I know. You, I am doing the same, and I am going to give you the same warning. If I find out that you killed anyone, I will find out, and I will find you. You saw what I can do, and I wasn't really trying. So, if I have to find you again, you will get another beating, and I will tie you up before giving you to the bird people authorities." He finished putting all of her stuff into the one bag and grabbed the stuff he bought. He floated off the ground and finally turned to look at her. "And even if you did all that to try and kill me, you did make this day entertaining, so thanks for that." He turned invisible and flew off toward his house, leaving a beaten and bleeding Mittelt behind.

Mittelt pushed herself up on trembling hands. It was the first time she had gotten so close to death, and she got away from it, not from her own powers or escape, but because he allowed her to live. It was a mercy she had never given to anyone since she had fallen, or one she expected from the devils. And it was not something she was going to take for granted. She then looked at the bag he left behind and tentatively walked over to it. She pulled the lid to take a peek inside and saw it was the stuff she bought for herself. She wasn't sure why, but she slowly grabbed the handle and, with tears and blood still dripping from her, activated her magic before teleporting away.

Once she was gone, Sona and her peerage walked onto the bridge as she surveyed the area.

Tsubaki had a bit of sweat on the side of her face as she looked at her queen. "What do we do?"

Sona also had a bead of sweat on the side of her face as she brought up her thoughts. "I don't know. It is clear that he isn't part of the fallen angel faction, but that doesn't mean he is an ally. I have never felt his kind of magic, and it looked like he was unaffected by the Light spear. From what he said, he wasn't even trying. I'm not sure we could handle him on our own."

Momo brought up another matter of concern. "And he goes to our school. What if he is there to scout us or remove us?"

Saji thought of an idea they could use. "What if we try to trap him? He might not know we know about him, and we could use that to get rid of him."

Tsubaki shook her head. "We don't know if he has anything to counter any magic traps or restraints. We saw him take a magic blast from that fallen angel, and he appeared out of nowhere unharmed.

Sona nodded. "I do not want to risk him assaulting us, so as of now, observation only. Passive observation. Let's avoid following him since the event at the mall, where he led us to the top floor, only to disappear and reappear on the first floor, could signify that he was aware of our tailing him and he was toying with us. If we antagonize him, he may assault us on his own terms. He knows us, so keep your distance. I will discuss this with Rias, and we can go over potential countermeasures."

Everyone nodded as they had seen how this fight ended up. They knew they could handle the fallen angel one-on-one, but Danny did it almost as if it were a game, and he moved, fought, and showed techniques they had never seen before.

Fighting an enemy with no information could get you killed.

Not to mention, the power coming off him was unnerving.

For now, they will gather intel a little more in-depth. They need to find out what he is.

But now they were worried because they saw how he used a portion of the power they felt.

Danny made it to his house and put the stuff down in the living room. "First a lewd monster woman, then a girl with black bird wings. What next? A cute pink pony that turns vicious and kicks me into another dimension?" He transformed back to his human form as he let out a sigh. "Well, I can add Milltell to the list of girls that I dated with something going on behind the scenes. Paulina with Kitty controlling her, Valerie with Techus playing matchmaker, and now Milltell. Or Millet? However you say her real name! Milly!" He shouted out her nickname as he was frustrated by the event.

Dropping onto the couch, he grabbed the remote and turned on the TV before looking at one of the bags by his feet and shrugged. He reached in and pulled out one of the models and looked it over. "Maybe I can start this today to end it on a high note." He started to open the box as his mind went back to Milly. 'I'm gonna have to focus on that feeling I got from Milly, since there might be more bird people out there. I mean, I got the same feeling from-' He froze as he remembered that he had the same feeling from another person. One that he saw with Issei earlier today. Jumping to his feet, he realized that Issei was on a date with one of the bird people.

It was at that moment that he felt the telltale signs of someone dying. It was very faint, which meant that it was far away, but he got the direction of where it was coming from.

"My luck cannot be that bad!" He transformed back to Phantom before he flew through the ceiling and toward where he felt death.

It took him longer than he would have liked, but he finally arrived at the location where he felt someone's death had occurred. He flew down to the ground and saw a fountain in the distance, and floated toward it. He made it to the fountain and looked around the area. As he looked around, he saw the blood on the ground and knelt down to hover his hand over the life liquid.

It was fresh.

He stood back up and looked around. "I know I felt it here, hell, there are still lingering signs of death, but there's no sign of a body. There isn't any police that could have taken it away, or anyone who would have seen it. And no soul lingering in the area." He didn't know who it was that died. He assumed it might have been Issei since he was with another of the bird people, but it might have been him being paranoid. All he knew was that someone died and the body was gone. He would check up on Issei, but he didn't know where he lived, so this was a dead end for now. "Something is going on here, and now I am in the middle of it. Bird people and monsters. So much for a normal school life."

Things are gonna get more complicated for Danny, and he has no idea what he will have to deal with.
