"Julia, the servants will take care of it," Glades said. The Horne Family always prepared their own food and took it to the hospital, as they were worried the hospital's meals wouldn't be good enough.
Hearing his beloved wife's concerned chiding, Glades's heart ached with affection.
"It's okay, I can manage." After Julia finished helping him dress and tie his necktie, she gave him a once-over and finally said with satisfaction, "Alright, let's go downstairs. We'll have breakfast first. You've skipped breakfast three times and lunch twice this past week. I won't stand for you going hungry."
Julia grabbed her purse and pulled Glades out of the room.
She had noticed every single day he missed breakfast or lunch. Instantly, Glades's heart grew warm and filled with sweetness. Usually, it was he who paid attention to her. Now, she had learned to watch over him too.
"Sister-in-law!"
Just as they left the room, Adele arose from the sofa in the hall to meet them.
