Even though she was pregnant, how many of those ladies weren't mothers themselves? They would all say that when you're pregnant, you need to move around more and not just stay at home. Her body was still quite agile. If she spent all her time at home nurturing the pregnancy, those ladies would certainly have sour words to say.
