Chapter Three
Aurelia felt their current relationship was incredibly awkward and tried to pull her hand away. But Kevin held on even tighter, smiling as he said, "What's there to fear? If anyone's going to talk, they'd call me the mistress, not you. Besides, the people here aren't strangers; they won't gossip about you."
"But..."
"No buts, just stay by my side."
As he said this, he led her forward, smiling, "Sofia, I've brought her back for you."
Sofia Hamilton had a smile on her lips as she stepped forward to take Aurelia's hand, playfully scolding, "You're something else, going so far away without a word, getting together with Kevin and not even telling me. Are we sisters or not?"
Aurelia hurriedly explained, "I just forgot, don't be mad."
"So caught up in romance that you forgot about me? How come I never realized you valued love over friendship?"
Kevin laughed, "She hadn't met me before. Sofia, you don't know how charming I am?"
