The voice of Charles Northwood came from the other end of the phone. Tara Jameson froze, tears immediately streaming down her face. She could hardly believe her ears and had no idea what Charles Northwood's words truly meant.
"Say that again."
Tara Jameson's voice was choked with sobs; she stood rooted to the spot, her whole body trembling.
"I said, if I confessed my feelings to you again, would you agree to be my girlfriend?"
Hanging up the phone, Charles Northwood yelled out. Hearing the voice from behind her, Tara Jameson spun around and saw Charles Northwood standing in the open doorway of his room.
Instantly, Tara Jameson burst into tears. Her face streaked with tears, she stood frozen, unsure how to react. Listening to his words, she hesitated, remaining motionless.
Seeing that she hadn't moved, Charles Northwood walked towards her, steadfastly, step by step. Finally, he stopped in front of her.
"Tara Jameson, I like you."
It was the same sentence, just like last time.
