Originally, Kris Cooper just wanted to distract her attention, not to dwell too much on this issue.
But, after he truly kissed her, he couldn't help himself, and with a slight push, he pressed her on the bed.
Kris Cooper's hand had just reached under her dress when Vera Wave grabbed it, causing him to raise his face in confusion.
"What's wrong?"
"I..." Vera pursed her lips, "I'm a bit tired, I'm... I'm sorry."
Right now, her mind was a mess, and she needed to think calmly.
Interrupted by her, Kris Cooper's reason also came back; her injuries hadn't healed yet, how could he still bully her?
"Silly girl!" Kris Cooper took a deep breath, pulling her dress back to its place, "It's okay, hubby will go hungry for two more days. You rest well, tomorrow morning I'll have the driver come pick you up, first go to the hospital to change your dressing, then go to work. I'll come pick you up after my event finishes. Rest early, see you tomorrow."
He pecked her lips, then got up to leave.
