A father knows his son best.
On one side was his long-lost lover, and on the other was his father. Christoper Cooper didn't need to guess; he knew how much his son struggled that night.
Taking a step forward, he used his arm to half-embrace his son's back and patted him gently.
"Go, explain to your mom, don't let her worry. You're not a kid anymore; you're a man now!"
"Okay."
Kris Cooper responded softly and turned around to walk towards the door.
"Kris!" Christoper Cooper called out to him from behind.
Kris Cooper turned his face back to look at his father.
"Girls have delicate thoughts, sometimes you need a bit of patience; don't always be so rash."
"Got it." Kris Cooper nodded with a smile, turned back and grabbed the doorknob, and looked back at Christoper Cooper again, "Dad, thank you!"
"Brat!" Christoper Cooper rolled his eyes at him, "If you're capable, bring your wife home soon, so your mom can worry less."
