Sophia Thompson closed Vera Wave's new testimony, which Lucille had handed to her.
"Kris Cooper's previous statement had many questionable points. Objectively speaking, regardless of who is telling the truth, there are many doubts. From my perspective, it's possible that what Vera is saying is the truth."
She took a shallow breath. "In the current situation, this development might be more advantageous for us! Nathan Leafcastle and Vera Wave were childhood friends. If Vera is the one in the defendant's seat, perhaps he might be lenient, which would benefit us."
"We can't rule out another possibility!" Lucille took a sip from her water glass. "If Nathan Leafcastle's love for Vera Wave has turned to hate, then he might become even more relentless."
