Chapter 315 - 1-2

Chapter 1: Mixed Up Worlds

Fairy Heroes Academia 1

It had been a couple days since everyone returned to Magnolia and the stress of the Grand Magic Games (and future Rogue) calmed down. Fairy Tail had been partying for days celebrating their win.

Since they won there were waves of job requests flooding the board, and Lucy Heartfilia needed a high paying job to pay for her rent. "See anything good Nab?" Lucy asked Nab Lasaro, a man who seemed to always be standing in front of the board unable to choose a job.

"Actually Lucy, this one seems right up your alley, though I thought Levy seemed pretty good for it too…" He said handing her a high paying job. Lucy's eyes practically popped out of her head, "If I do this, I'll have enough rent to last me a year!" She cried out in happiness.

The job seemed simple enough, and she wouldn't really need the rest of the team because the job itself was just to translate the text on the request. Though she did feel a bit guilty taking the chance from Levy since it really did seem like it would be well suited for her.

Changing her resolve she walked over to Levy and held out the job, "Levy, do this job with me!" Levy took the job and read over it while Lucy explained, "This job is paying a lot and I think we'd be able to get it done a lot faster with us both working on it."

"Wow Lu, I've never seen a language like this, no wonder the pay is high…" She smiled brightly before dragging Lucy away, "This looks like a good challenge! Let's tell Mira we're going to do it! Shouldn't be too hard if we're both working on it."

. . .

"Ughhh! I reviewed most of these and none of these translations are making sense!" Levy said in frustration reviewing the stacks of paper surrounding her. Lucy popped out from a pile of books, her eyes dizzy, "Oh man, this is way tougher than I thought it would be, I'm glad I asked for your help Levy."

They were at Lucy's apartment and had been there for hours, the sun had already set and they were working hard to figure out the text. They were in their pajamas as they got comfortable long ago.

Plue, Lucy's spirit, bounded towards the papers, and peeked through them, "Puun pun…." He spoke as he shook, Lucy took the papers from him and looked through them as well, "You think these ones are useful Plue?" She asked before her eyes widened and she handed them to Levy.

"Whoa Lu, did you figure it out?" Levy asked before looking at the papers and gasping. "Of course! How did I not see it before!" Levy began grabbing more and more papers from the stack.

"Alone these translations don't work," She took out another paper and started scribbling words down quickly, "But together they make a coherent message!" She held up the translation triumphantly and cheered.

"Nice job Plue!" Lucy applauded as Plue danced, before turning to Levy, "And nice work Levy!"

"Don't forget to congratulate yourself, I couldn't have done it without your translations either." Levy laughed as she and Lucy grabbed the job request once again for more details.

They both read the message on the paper "Please write the translation and names of those who completed the request on the back of this paper."

Lucy and Levy shrugged before filling out the information on the back.

So next we'll just have to meet up wi- Why is it glowing?!" Lucy cried, the translation they wrote was glowing, and Lucy and Levy gasped.

"It must be enchanted"' Levy cried before trying to rip up the paper, there was a loud bang as they were blinded by the light before… nothing.

. . .

A gentle wind breezed by Lucy and Levy as they dumbly looked at the paper, then at each other, then at the paper. They screamed, they screamed very loud. "WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?!"

Lucy and Levy looked younger, around 14 years old. Lucy's clothes were baggier and hanging off in certain places, while Levy seemed to be swimming in her clothes.

"This must be the effect of the enchantment." Levy said, she looked down at the job, "But why?"

Taking a closer look, they realized that they were on a sidewalk, and there were tons of buildings, vehicles, lights connected to metal, and much more than what was supposed to be there.

"Lu, please tell me you always had a town in your apartment!" Levy panicked as she shook Lucy.

"Are you two okay?" A girl around their current age asked, causing Lucy and Levy to cling to each other and scream. The girl didn't react to this and Lucy and Levy both calmed down.

"Do you guys need help?" She asked in a hushed voice, confusing Lucy and Levy, "Uh yeah, we're a little lost?" Lucy said, unsure of why the girl would say something quietly.

"You both just seemed very jumpy and disoriented," The girl then pointed to their outfits, "Also you're both wearing pajamas way too big for you."

Lucy and Levy both internally cringed as they realized why they seemed suspicious. "I thought you two were either runaways or kidnapped and escaped."

Levy laughed and waved her hands in the air, "Honestly we're just really confused about what's going on."

The girl looked thoughtful, "I'm Yui Kodai, what's your names?" The girl introduced herself to Levy and Lucy.

"I'm Lucy Heartfilia and this is Levy McGarden." Lucy responded, then started thinking about their situation. Even though her body got smaller, she felt as if her magic was stronger.

Levy felt the same, and couldn't help but glance down at the job in her hand and the message it created. Levy sighed and looked at the girl again, "We're in a complicated situation and might not have anywhere to go to."

Lucy looked at her friend shocked, but realized she had a point. Kodai frowned a bit at the two, not envying their situation. "Do you mind telling me more about it? If I'm not able to help, maybe we can find someone who can?"

Levy opened her mouth to speak but went silent, noticing a crowd starting to form. Explosions could be heard as smoke seemed to fill the skies. All three girls turned their attention to it and followed the crowd.

From what the girls could see a giant Sludge Monster was attacking the area. "What is that thing?!" Lucy screamed in disgust as the Sludge Monster rampaged.

"It must be a villain with a sludge-like quirk." Kodai said. "Why aren't the heroes doing anything?" Someone in the crowd asked. Lucy and Levy were both even more clueless than before.

"They can't. Apparently the villain caught a junior high schooler." The man next to him spoke, causing people to focus more on the sludge villain. "Anyway, wasn't that the villain All Might was chasing earlier?" Another voice noted.

"All Might? No way! He's here?"

"I think I saw him earlier."

"Seriously? Then what's All Might doing?!"

Lucy and Levy were astounded by everything going on, "Who's All Might?" Levy asked, Kodai turned to her and gaped, her usual calm demeanor overtaken by shock. "You don't know who All Might is?"

They shook their heads no, "You two really must be lost! He's the number one hero in all of Japan!" Kodai explained, only confusing the girls more. "What is Japan?"

Kodai was beyond shocked when they said that, but before she could respond a boy rushed forward from the crowd, and was charging towards the sludge villain.

"Idiot! Stop!" Pro hero Death Arms called out.

"That brat…" The Sludge villain growled at the boy.

Lucy looked at her friend, "We have to do something!" Levy nodded and the two followed after, shocking Kodai who was stopped from pursuing them by the cops and other Pro heroes.

"Die in an explosion!" The Sludge villain roared, pushing his 'hand' forward ready to strike. The green haired boy who had rushed forward before threw his backpack at the villain which stunned him a bit, causing his grip on the boy he was holding to slip enough for the boy to breath and talk.

The green haired boy was about to continue forward to stop him, when he saw two girls in oversized pajamas stand by his side. "We're here to help!" Lucy said, taking out a key, to the boy's confusion.

Levy held her finger up as she got ready to attack, "Solid Script: Water!" Levy felt the usual tingle of her magic, but this time the sensation overwhelmed her. The spell sent out a huge wave of water knocking the sludge villain off his feet as well as putting out some of the fire, but also exhausting Levy and knocking her out.

"Levy!" Lucy said, rushing to her friend, as the Sludge monster bounded towards them, barely recovering. Lucy's eyes became determined as she got ready to help stop this monster. "Open, Gate of the-" Everyone was practically blinded by the light the key had radiated, but Lucy was cut short as she felt her own exhaustion creep in, and the light faded.

The Sludge Villain was pissed, he had gotten hit in the face, knocked over, and blinded. He looked at the boy paralyzed in fear and the unconscious girls in rage, "Don't get in my way!" He attacked the three with no hesitation, the other pro heroes tried to rush in to intercept, but only one made it.

A large muscled man with blond hair and a gigantic smile was shielding the three from the villain, "I really am pathetic." He spoke.

"All might…" The boy said in awe as he stared up at the man who saved his life.

"Even though I admonished you, I wasn't putting what I said into practice!" He said as he grabbed onto the boy in the sludge with his left arm, and he reeled his right arm back, he spoke again blood spewing from his mouth, "Pros are always risking their lives!"

"All Might!" The sludge monster cried in vain.

"Detroit Smash!" All Might's punch created a wind pressure so powerful that it blew away the sludge villain, the fire, the water, and almost the crowd if Pro Hero Mt. Lady wasn't there to shield them. A large whirlwind lingered for a few moments before dying down once more.

Steam rose from All Might's body as it began to rain.

"Rain?"

"Don't tell me it's from the wind pressure just now?

"An updraft developed and…"

"He made... clouds?" Death Arms thought in amazement, as he looked back to All Might, who stood at full height.

The crowd roared with cheers for their hero. "With just his right fist, he changed the weather! That's All Might for ya!"

All Might took a step and raised his right fist in triumph, causing the crowd to go even more wild, though everyone did miss the glance he gave towards the children beforehand.

Chapter 2: Hero Business

Fairy Heroes Academia 2

Levy's eyes fluttered open as light leaked into the room she was in. The room looked very clean, it had many machines, and two beds, where Lucy was currently occupying the other one, looking thoughtful.

"Lu, where are we?" Levy asked Lucy who jumped a bit, startled at the voice. "Levy... I was told we're in a hospital." Lucy answered, and Levy shook her head, "No… where are we?" She said as a few tears slid down her face.

Lucy went over to the girl and comforted her, "I don't know, I managed to summon Grandpa Crux to see if he could find any information on that job, but he hasn't come back yet."

"Ding Dong"

"I've got grave news, Lady Lucy." Crux appeared again looking serious. "This job turned out to be a contract." Lucy and Levy both turned to each other, unable to say anything. Lucy had never seen Crux so serious about something before.

"What do you mean it was a contract?!" Lucy asked, "What did you find out?"

"Although it appears to be a job request, it is actually an enchanted contract." Crux repeated, before continuing, "In it, it is stated that you will both remain in their world and inspire light in the darkness."

Lucy and Levy both paled before remembering the message they translated.

"In times of despair there must be new heroes to rise up against evil. There must be more than one beacon of hope, so someone must enter the world and inspire light in the darkness that is this world."

It all made sense now, they hadn't questioned it too much at the time since they had been so worn out trying to string the message together.

"I discussed it with the King, he's an expert on contracts, and we've discovered that there's no way out of this particular one." Crux informed the girls, who both felt their blood go cold and their hearts still.

"So we're… stuck here?" Levy asked.

"I'm afraid so. We can work on trying to find a way home but I cannot guarantee that you'll ever return…" He bowed his head sadly, "I apologize."

Lucy and Levy both started crying and clinging to each other in this strange world where all they have is each other.

"Lady Lucy, the King wanted me to inform you that this world has a severe lack of magic users, but an abundance of magic." Crux spoke again, making sure to give out as much information as possible.

"What does that mean?" Lucy asked as she wiped away a tear.

"You both passed out due to the overwhelming power that your new, tinier, bodies experienced. I'm sure you both feel the magic in the air, in this world many people are not able to utilize it. But since you both have such a handle on your magic you both gained considerable power." Crux explained.

Levy thought back to before she passed out, "Is that how I was able to make that wave?" The power she felt from it was unbelievable, it overwhelmed her and exhausted her at that moment.

Crux nodded, "Your bodies should eventually grow to handle the magical power better, but you both tried to use magic too soon after being transformed." Crux pulled out a book and handed it to Levy. "We are not able to break the contract, but we wanted to help all that we could. With your magic boosted we have no doubt that you'll find this useful."

Levy looked at the book and gasped, "Are you sure about this?" Crux laughed, "With your new magic power I think it shouldn't prove too difficult for you to use that."

Lucy raised an eyebrow at this before Crux turned to her, "Lady Lucy, the amount of magical power you contain now allows you to use a new spell called Star Dress, it'll allow you to utilize clothing to channel your spirit's power, it is similar to some of your comrade's requip magic in some ways. The King allowed it to be bestowed upon you. I hope it proves useful to you."

Lucy could feel the information flooding in her head, as she could feel her own magic power changing, and she suddenly felt more refreshed than ever before. "Thank you for your help Grandpa Crux."

"Of course, we will continue looking for new ways to get you home. In the meantime, please try to inspire light in the darkness, and follow the contract." Crux said as he disappeared.

There was a knock at the door, "Hello," an elderly woman's voice spoke as she entered the room, "I am your doctor, Chiyo Shuzenji. I'm glad to see that you're both awake."

Chiyo Shuzenji, she was an elderly woman with gray hair styled into a bun, and oddly enough had a syringe sticking out of it. She wore a doctor's coat and a dress with yellow and red vest-like buttons, and a belt with a pink 'R' on it. But Lucy and Levy couldn't help but notice her pink helmet and purple visor.

"How are you both feeling?" She asked with a sweet smile.

Lucy and Levy both exchanged a look, unsure how to answer. "We're fine ma'am." Levy spoke up with an uneasy smile.

"Ah dear, I can tell that you're lying but I won't push it for now." She said looking at her clipboard, "Now then, a young girl by the name Yui Kodai stopped by because she was worried about you both."

The girls felt touched by this and felt a little bad about making her worry. "She informed us that your names are Lucy Heartfilia and Levy McGarden."

Lucy and Levy both nodded, "I'm Lucy and this is Levy." Lucy introduced. "And we're both feeling just fine, physically at least." Levy added.

Doctor Shuzenji hit them both with her cane, though not hard enough to hurt them, "What were you both thinking?! Throwing yourselves in danger so recklessly!"

'She's just like Porlyusica!' They both thought to themselves before the doctor ceased her onslaught.

"I guess I can't be too mad, Kodai informed the staff that she suspects you both may be suffering from amnesia." Doctor Shuzenji said, referring to her notes, "Now we'll have to run some tests to confirm her suspicions but as of right now, what can you tell me about yourselves?"

Lucy and Levy were at a loss for words, what could they possibly say to the woman? Should they lie to her and keep their origins a secret?

They looked at the woman, she looked as sweet as can be, they felt their guard lower before they both broke down. Doctor Shuzenji faltered before rushing forward and rubbing both girl's backs, "Shhh… it's okay, just let it out."

After a couple tissues the girls had calmed down enough to speak again. Lucy took a sip of water offered to her before starting, "Doctor Shuzenji… we're not from here."

"We're from a different world and now we're trapped here due to a contract that we unknowingly signed." Levy continued, "We have no one here, we don't know how anything works and we're just stuck…"

Doctor Shuzenji looked thoughtful for a moment, she didn't think this was how this visit would go. From the looks of it they seemed to really believe this was true. But they had checked the girls out and they didn't seem to have any injuries or abnormalities at all.

"And you both are sure of this?" Doctor Shuzenji asked the two who nodded, before Lucy had an idea. "And we can prove it!" She pulled out a silver key with a strange design on it.

"Open, gate of the Canis Minor!" The key lit up as she swiped it through the air, "Plue!" A trembling snowman-like creature with a cone nose popped into existence, causing Doctor Shuzenji to gasp. "Pun…"

'I've never seen a quirk work like that…' Doctor Shuzenji thought, 'This certainly is something to look into.'

"I believe you girls. But I'm going to need you to start from the beginning." Doctor Shuzenji said seriously as she sat down in order to hear their story.

Lucy and Levy told her about their world. Doctor Shuzenji was amazed, a world of where technology was primitive compared to now, yet filled with magic, guilds, flying cats, and dragons. She learned about Lucy's adventures with Team Natsu, and was amazed at how much the girl had been through. Levy talked about Team Shadowgear's bond, and Shuzenji smiled at the girl's fondness for her teammates.

They continued to tell her for what felt like hours, she was horrified to learn that they were frozen in time for 7 years, and now had apparently de-aged a couple of years now. They finally explained the contract and Doctor Shuzenji looked thoughtful as she looked at the message.

"I believe I may understand what this means." She said, Lucy and Levy looked at the doctor, hopeful. "You see let me tell you about this world you two found yourselves in…"

"It all began in a country called China, in Qingqing city. There was news that a baby that gave off light was born. Ever since then, superpowers have been discovered in various places, and time passed without the cause being identified." Doctor Shuzenji began.

"The world has become a superhuman society, and about 80% of the world's population now has some kind of special trait. In this world many took advantage of these special powers and in came an explosive increase of crime. Courageous people started using their own superpowers in order to defend people against evil. And so heroes were accepted by the public and it was established as an official position." Lucy and Levy were listening to every word that Doctor Shuzenji said.

"I am a hero myself, my hero name is Recovery Girl, but nowadays I work as a school nurse. I'm here today as a favor to someone." The girls couldn't help but wonder who the favor was for.

"Back to my explanation, These special traits are known as quirks. And based on a hero's performance, they are paid by the government and gain renown from the masses." Doctor Shuzenji informed, "We at first thought you two girls had used a light quirk and a water type quirk. But now I know it was Celestial Spirit summoning magic and Solid Script magic, if I recall correctly?" She looked at the girls for confirmation.

"That's right." Lucy said, "But what do you think the message means?" Lucy asked, she wanted to follow any lead that would allow them to get to the bottom of this.

"Well, this world is only getting more dangerous, and our top ranked hero in Japan is All Might." She knew All Might's, or rather Toshinori Yagi's secret, far longer than most and it worried her to no end. "He is the Symbol of Peace, a beacon of hope," She referred to the message, "This must mean that you two must become heroes that inspire hope in everyone."

The girls both began to think this over, Doctor Shuzenji continued, "This world will probably always need heroes, and people like me and All Might won't be here forever… Whoever sent this contract must have realized that and sent this to your guild after those Grand Magic Games."

"Of course! Fairy Tail must've inspired a lot of people during the games!" Levy said, remembering how moved she was when Ezra faced Pandemonium. "Who better to inspire hope than the guild that always stayed hopeful in the face of adversity?"

"So because of that we have to stay here and become heroes?" Lucy asked a little conflicted due to being forced into this.

Doctor Shuzenji laid a hand comfortingly on Lucy's shoulder, "You don't have to become a hero, dear. But from the sounds of it, you and your guild mates are already heroes."

Lucy felt the tears brim in her eyes again as she allowed herself to be comforted by the doctor and Levy. Her and Levy were stuck in this dangerous world and had an unlikely situation thrust on them, and were bound by a contract to become great heroes… What would Natsu do?

She imagined Natsu in her place, "Hell yeah! I'm gonna be the strongest hero there is!" Imaginary Natsu exclaimed, spewing flames everywhere, causing her to sweat drop, 'Yeah that's probably all how it'd go down…'

Lucy wiped her tears away and smiled, "Well if we're stuck here, we might as well shine light in the darkness!" Levy smiled and clasped Lucy's hands with her own, "Alright Lu, while we're here we'll become the best heroes!"

Recovery Girl smiled fondly at the two but knew it wouldn't be an easy road. "Well girls, if you're set on this, then it's going to take some work. But I can help train you two in order to reach your goal."

Lucy and Levy turned to the woman, surprised, "Do you mean…"

"Come stay with me and I'll help you become heroes."
