The Flying Horses and the Frog heard the Dragon Monster's roar echoing from the mountaintop. They watched as the dragon soared high above the city, then slowly descended, circling the Monster Clock before returning to the summit of the mountain.
The city lay completely deserted.
The Frog wondered how they could stop the Monster Clock from exploding. He feared that if it did, it would bring back the age of the savage dragons.
He looked at the energy beam held by the robotic dwarf, Sialy. But if Sialy fired the beam at the Monster Clock, it would hit the opposite clock instead, causing the Flying Horses to accelerate uncontrollably.
"Oh, Frog!" one of the horses cried. "If that happens, we'll explode, and the world will freeze. Then the robot will have to face the monsters alone. The beam will grow stronger on another planet, and if it ever returns to its home world, it will become a horned moon. Perhaps it could survive there alongside the robot and the monster."
The Frog fell silent for a moment before saying, "There may be another way. If we take the villagers' magical tears and throw them onto the Monster Clock, perhaps they will freeze it and prevent the explosion."
