Xiaozhang and that elderly lady really are old neighbors, letting her taste some veggies is no big deal.
Xiaozhang and her husband set up a small table inside the counter for lunch, and her husband was eating with his head down, you could tell just how delicious the food was.
Just as the elderly lady was hesitating, Xiaozhang handed over her chopsticks, "We're all neighbors here, don't be shy, try some."
The old lady felt a bit embarrassed, but seeing the couple eating so tastily, she swallowed and didn't fuss, tried a chopstick of veggies, just one bite, and was immediately stunned, "Mm."
Xiaozhang had an "I knew it" look on her face, "Tastes good, right?"
"Try this one too."
Xiaozhang let the old lady taste the radish as well. Her radish was simply shredded and stir-fried, but even without any seasoning, the flavor was better than dishes cooked with lots of spices.
One bite or two, the old lady didn't hold back, took another taste.
