The guys were acting all shy and awkward, which was ridiculous. Mei Mengzhen couldn't take it and said, "Let me try. Put her on my shoulders, I'll carry her over."
The drill instructor heard that and almost burst out laughing. "There's no way you can carry her. You'll end up hurting yourself."

"I actually can carry her. I'm pretty strong."
She crouched down in front of the chubby girl and said to the girls around, "Help me get her onto my back."
