When he caught sight of Mei Mengzhen by accident, his body started to tremble involuntarily, and even his feet unconsciously took a few steps back.
Jiang Cheng told himself he wasn't really that much of a coward, but Mei Mengzhen was the one and only exception who made him feel like this.
Jiang Cheng was never stupid—in the past, he only suffered losses because he was too arrogant and confident. Now that he didn't have that arrogance, Mei Mengzhen just seemed uncanny to him.
Jiang Cheng didn't want to have anything to do with her, not even in the slightest, let alone Yu Duoduo. Yu Duoduo had suffered setbacks dealing with Mei Mengzhen before, and although it wasn't so bad that she'd avoid her, she'd finally managed to snag this all-around awesome Jiang Cheng in front of her, so she was terrified of any accidents happening. Keeping her distance from Mei Mengzhen seemed to be the only way to stay safe.
