Bakome narrowed his eyes, his arms crossed. "How about we find her, and then I listen to whatever you have to say?" he growled impatiently. Having recently lost so many family members to the hunters, and now sort of losing Aster to Erik, he wanted to at least secure Hana's safety.
But Erik denied him with a smug shake of his head. "It doesn't work like that, Bakome. You want my help, you'll listen first." He extended a hand towards the door. "Alternatively, you're free to leave and look for her without me."
The patriarch's nose twitched. This brat was constantly poking and prodding at his patience and pride. "You're not exactly putting me in a mood to accept any proposal…" he grumbled, though obviously didn't leave.
Erik chuckled confidently. "That's alright, old man. If you're smart, you'll accept, and if you're not, then it's my mistake for proposing it in the first place."
