Saturday was Aleezeh's favorite day.
Rain tapped against the windows while she studied.
Then the doorbell rang.
"Who is it?"
"Arslan."
Aleezeh opened the door.
"What do you want?"
Arslan held up his phone.
"I have something for you."
"What?"
"A video."
Aleezeh's expression changed.
"What video?"
"The one you don't want anyone to see."
Her hands became cold.
"Show me."
Arslan entered.
He showed her the recording.
Aleezeh immediately recognized it.
It was the video he had secretly recorded when she had told Noor about the incident with the physics teacher.
Fear filled her.
"What do you want?"
Arslan smiled.
"I haven't decided yet."
"Delete it."
"Give me a reason."
"I'll give you anything."
Arslan stepped closer.
"I want you."
Aleezeh immediately pushed him toward the door.
"Get out!"
He laughed as he left.
Aleezeh locked the door and ran upstairs.
When Noor arrived, she found Aleezeh crying.
"Aleezeh!"
She opened the door.
"What happened?"
"Arslan has the video."
Noor's face changed.
"What?"
"He's threatening me."
"Don't worry. We'll deal with this."
"But what if he posts it?"
"We'll find a way."
Noor left to confront him.
That evening, Aleezeh prayed Isha.
After finishing her prayer, she heard a loud sound downstairs.
She froze.
"Ammi?"
She ran down.
The house was silent.
Then she saw her mother lying unconscious.
"Ammi!"
Aleezeh screamed.
Her phone slipped from her hand.
She called for help.
And within minutes, everything changed.
