Fatty saw that emaciated woman at his door again.
This was the fourth time.
The woman stood at the door, holding out a book. "Hello, I'm here to return a book."
Then she stood motionless.
Strangely enough, ever since Fatty found out that this character was controlled by Gu Mian, he started to find this skeletal woman oddly affable.
Now he was leaning against the door. If it weren't for that transparent barrier, Fatty might have pressed his entire body against the woman.
"Doctor," he edged closer, "Doctor, is that you? Doctor, it's me, Fatty! We've turned into save points, can you hear me? If you can, blink..."
But the slender woman in front of him made no movement.
Her sunken eyes were huge and particularly striking. She stood rooted to the spot, holding the book, not blinking or showing any other sign of life.
After some time, Fatty, his voice hoarse and tinged with disappointment, stopped. "So you really can't hear me?"
