The headquarters of the Greycloaks was built directly into the massive wall dividing HighGrey and LowGrey.
There was a reason for this arrangement. The wall was more than just a physical barrier separating the two districts. It was also one of the most important defensive structures in Greyreach.
By establishing their headquarters within it, the Greycloaks could maintain a constant watch over both districts while keeping their forces close to the main thoroughfares connecting them.
In the event of unrest, an attack, or any disturbance along the border, they could mobilise their men quickly and respond from either side.
The location also served as a reminder of their authority. From the towering walls, the Greycloaks watched over the city, ensuring that neither HighGrey nor LowGrey escaped their attention.
