"How many of them are there?"
"Approximately twenty. They haven't explained their reasons yet, but they insist that they need to leave before the event begins."
Mr. Wadsworth frowned.
"Did they explain why they wanted to leave?"
"Not yet, sir. They only said that they had received an order and needed to return somewhere as soon as possible."
An order?
Mr. Wadsworth's expression became more serious as he heard their reason for going out.
The Elves had been staying at Springriver Manor for quite some time. But after some time, even if they were generally cooperative, they had started maintaining a certain distance from the other residents. Their sudden decision to leave was already unusual enough, but the fact that they were acting under someone's orders made the situation even more concerning.
"Keep them at the entrance for now. Don't let them leave until I've spoken with them."
"Understood, sir."
After ending the call, Mr. Wadsworth sat back in his chair.
