Chapter 4974 - Chapter 4034: MU: Super Body Major Incident (77)_2

The most troublesome things are all kinds of bombs, especially those dangerous-looking fusion bombs. Hal couldn't quite grasp how they worked, but the Primary Universe Batman emphasized in his earpiece: "Don't go near that thing that looks like the sun; if that big fireball explodes, it would be equivalent to the sun blowing up. With that level of impact, even Green Lantern energy might not hold up."

Moreover, the bombs here are densely packed; if one goes off, they'll basically all go off. Such a chain explosion would obliterate them without a trace.

"Too ruthless," Hal sighed inwardly, "What kind of grudge would make them use the sun to blow us up?"

"Is preemptive detonation possible?" Hal asked, "If the power of this fusion bomb is as you say, wouldn't it work if we detonate it ahead of time?"

"That also depends on whether it's exploding outward or collapsing inward," the Primary Universe Batman replied, "I guess it might be a bigger trap: you may think it's just an ordinary bomb, but after you detonate it, they might very likely keep collapsing inward, collectively forming a black hole and sucking you in."

"Hiss..." Hal drew a sharp breath. These people were even more ruthless than he imagined. What on earth is an artificial black hole?

Generally speaking, Green Lanterns are not captured by black holes—there have been a few unlucky ones who got close to the event horizon before, but they still made it out, which is unimaginable for any ordinary person or aircraft; usually, at that level, there's no hope.

But that doesn't mean they can face a black hole head-on because there's currently no evidence that any Green Lantern has survived once inside the event horizon, let alone at the center of a black hole. Hal had long suspected that the missing Green Lanterns might have inadvertently been at the center of a forming black hole and met their end there.

At their current distance, if a black hole forms on the other side, they'd surely be at its center. In such a place, even a Green Lantern Teleportation Gate might not open, and escape would definitely be impossible.

"Then what should we do?" Hal asked, "Otherwise, we'll have to go with the dumb approach and defuse them one by one."

"Don't worry, I'll send Superman over," the Primary Universe Batman said, "They can use massive frozen breath to freeze most of the physical bombs, and then you can drag them out with Green Lantern energy and dispose of them in a black hole."

"Are you sure frozen breath can cool a sun bomb?" Hal was a bit doubtful. The Primary Universe Batman said, "If Superman believes he can, then he can."

Hal suddenly realized: theoretically, the cosmos has a minimum temperature, and such a low temperature can't extinguish the sun. But with Superman's ability to actualize his will, if he believes he can freeze it, then he can. The key is to have firm belief.

Obviously, the Batmen's "brainwashing" was quite effective, as the Supermen seemed full of confidence. The Green Lanterns withdrew to the second line, waiting for the Supermen to freeze the trenches before stepping in to clean up.

"What now?" Captain America said, looking at the surveillance screen, "They're clearly going to have Superman dismantle our trenches. We can't let them succeed so easily. We might have to step in."

But the command center had a different view, saying, "Using these expendable bombs to drain Superman's physical strength and energy is a good trade. Even if the breath works, they can't keep breathing for a year, while we have enough resources to keep replenishing the bombs continuously."

The Main Universe Iron Man agreed with this view, because he'd noticed that part of the space platform was already producing large excavation equipment, apparently for mining.

Out of curiosity, the Main Universe Iron Man followed one of the mining convoys—a transport ship, a bunch of guard robots, and a whole lot of mining equipment. The speed wasn't fast, so the Main Universe Iron Man could barely keep up.

After flying for a while, they didn't arrive at a mining site, but rather a teleportation portal. The portal was obviously pre-set, and the Main Universe Iron Man followed through. The coordinates showed they were already five light years away.

As soon as they landed, he was shocked: what he saw wasn't a star system, but the remnants of one. Four planets here were completely shattered, with a massive amount of fragments drifting in space, influenced by unknown gravity, gathering towards the center.

"What are you doing here?!" the Main Universe Iron Man suddenly heard a loud shout, "This is a mining site! It's very dangerous! You can't stay here!!"

The Main Universe Iron Man looked for the source of the voice everywhere and then saw a person behind a giant piece of debris. He immediately asked Jarvis, "Who is this? How come he looks like..."

"Hey, human! I'm talking to you!" The other person quickly flew over and said, "I'm an Asgardian. Are you lost? Do you need me to take you back?"

"No, I followed a mining ship; I wanted to see where the ship is collecting resources," the Main Universe Iron Man said honestly.

"Oh, Father of All Gods, lucky you came late, otherwise the Rainbow Bridge would have shattered you along with those planets!"

With wide eyes, the Main Universe Iron Man said, "These planets were shattered by the Rainbow Bridge?"

"Yes, you humans don't have a Planet-destroying Weapon, and you can't rely solely on Magneto, right? We came under the Divine King's command to lend a hand and help you break some resource planets to facilitate resource collection."

For a moment, the Main Universe Iron Man was at a loss. He realized why the production line dared to run at full power; it was due to such a violent method of resource extraction—directly using planet-destroying weapons to shatter planets.

"You shouldn't stay here any longer. It wouldn't be good if you got caught by the mineral-dissolving laser later," the Asgardian said, "I see you can fly, so just return through the teleportation portal you came from. Oh, by the way, this teleportation portal is one-to-many, so as you go through it, focus on the original coordinates to avoid being sent to the wrong place."

The Main Universe Iron Man nodded absentmindedly. His mind was still preoccupied with the matter of the planet-destroying weapon—he'd always known the Rainbow Bridge was powerful and not just a teleportation portal, but to see the consequences of such a potent weapon was different. He wasn't marveling at the power but rather at the way this universe's Asgardians used such a powerful weapon to aid humanity in gathering resources.

The Main Universe Iron Man's mind was a mess, and he completely forgot to focus on the coordinates before transporting. Although Jarvis could control the mecha, it couldn't invade his thoughts, and the Mages' teleportation portals primarily relied on thought. By the time the Main Universe Iron Man came to his senses, he was already in an unfamiliar area.
