Hearing Robert's words, Doom immediately fell into silence. He had to admit that Robert made a valid point. If there were a small country next to Latveria with resources that could help Latveria grow and it was undefended, he would undoubtedly take everything from that country.
Thus, instead of hoping for kindness from a place like the Dark Dimension, it was better to fight with all their might. Even if they ended up paying a price, it was better than being passively plundered. Doom wasn't one to surrender easily. He had only entertained such thoughts because he believed it wasn't his concern. Now that he understood the situation, a flicker of madness and anger crossed his eyes as he looked toward the Dark Dimension.
Doom had just entered the extraordinary world and glimpsed a path to greatness. No one, not even a powerful dimension, could stop him from continuing down that road.
"The Dark Dimension has descended? Did I hear that right? The entire dimension?" In the Avengers' base, Tony Stark, after receiving the message brought by Kara, was in disbelief. "Jarvis! Look for the energy source of the Dark Dimension! See if you can locate its position…"
The Avengers were quite familiar with the Dark Dimension, having fought it numerous times before. With Tony Stark's research into the Night Werewolves and Morbius, Jarvis had developed some expertise in monitoring the Dark Dimension's energy—at least, Tony believed so.
However, to Tony's surprise, Jarvis's monitoring failed. "Sorry, sir, I haven't detected any energy fluctuations similar to the Dark Dimension within Earth's vicinity."
"How is that possible?" Tony frowned instinctively.
"It's no use. Science can't detect dimensional power unless it breaks into the material plane," said Diana, who had just arrived. "Until then, our methods won't work."
"Let's follow what the Saiyan and Supergirl suggested and hope Earth's dimension can hold. If not, it will be a terrifying battle."
"The Night Werewolves and Morbius are already here. I've notified Blade and sent armor to pick them up," Tony said seriously. He took a deep breath before asking, "What will happen if Earth's dimension can't hold?"
As Tony's words fell, the surrounding Avengers turned their attention to him. Although they had fought in many interdimensional battles, they had little knowledge of such rare and secretive events.
"If Earth's dimension can put up some resistance, we'll see powerful beings from the Dark Dimension in their full form. But if Earth's dimension falters, we'll face Dark Dimension entities with the advantage of home territory," Diana said, her eyes gleaming as she looked toward the other dimension.
The Avengers gasped. A powerful dimensional being without Earth's rules suppressing them was terrifying enough. If they had the advantage of their home dimension, the Avengers and Earth's dimension might stand no chance.
"This isn't just the Dark Dimension invading Earth—it's like we're fighting inside the Dark Dimension itself. The risk is multiplied many times over!"
"Jarvis! Keep developing anti-Dark Dimension armor! Make sure every Avenger is equipped with a suit to boost their combat power. Also, mass-produce expendable mech suits. Even if we can't defeat this damn Dark Dimension, we'll make them pay!" Tony ordered coldly, a sharp glint in his eye.
The Avengers had already prepared a lot of equipment to deal with the Dark Dimension. But since it had been quiet for a while and other supernatural events and research had delayed production, Tony now felt a sudden fear that he might not be well-prepared.
"How long do you think Earth's dimension can hold?" Kara asked Diana as she watched the Avengers spring into action.
"That depends on how much strength Earth's dimension is willing to use. But from what we've seen, Earth's dimension hasn't deployed much power. Right now, its main defense is still the dimensional formation, which doesn't look promising…" Diana's expression grew increasingly serious as she considered the worsening situation between dimensions.
In both Robert and Diana's logic, Earth's dimension would surely resist an invasion from another dimension. However, they hadn't expected Earth's dimension to be so reluctant to use its power…
"Wait, something doesn't feel right. Is the Dark Dimension really that much stronger than us? Even with the dimensional formation's help, we're struggling, almost to the point of collapse," Doom muttered darkly at Kamar-Taj. His face grew increasingly grim as he felt himself being drained, yet they seemed to have no chance of victory, even after Baron Mordo and the others had recovered from their injuries.
"It's like the emperor is in no hurry, but the eunuchs are," Robert sneered as he watched the battle unfold in the dimensional rift. "I never thought we on Earth would be fighting so hard against invaders while Earth itself holds back. Clark, start the ship!"
"Huh? You mean?" Clark hesitated, stunned by Robert's command.
"Yes, take them away. This damn Earth isn't worth staying on!" Robert's eyes gleamed with madness as his aura surged. He transformed into his Great Ape form, and a terrifying energy blast began to gather in his hands.
Robert wasn't creating a Spirit Bomb, but a powerful ki wave designed to destroy planets. The range and destructive force of this blast were unparalleled, and it was a technique he had never used in battle before.
But now was different. Robert was unleashing this attack with the intent of destroying Earth itself. He wasn't holding anything back.
"Gulp!" Doom and the Kamar-Taj apprentices swallowed hard as they watched the terrifying ki blast form in Robert's hands. They felt like the dinosaurs witnessing an asteroid fall millions of years ago.
No, this was even more terrifying. Robert's ki blast wouldn't just wipe out human civilization—it would destroy the entire planet. Just by looking at the blast, Doom and the others could already picture Earth exploding.
"Whoosh!" After seeing Robert's actions, Clark hesitated for a moment, then disappeared from sight in a flash.
At that moment, the power of Earth's dimension, which had been fighting against the Dark Dimension, paused briefly as if Earth's consciousness was contemplating whether Robert's ki blast could really destroy the planet.
After all, Earth's dimension had reinforced the planet. Even though Robert's ki blast was terrifying, it might not be enough to destroy Earth.
But there was a crucial issue: Robert wasn't limited to one blast. If his first attack didn't do the job, he could always throw more. Even if the planet had been reinforced, repeated blasts would still wreak havoc, wasting the dimension's energy.
With a hum, Earth's dimension finally made up its mind and unleashed its power again, truly clashing with the Dark Dimension.
"What's this?" At that moment, the apprentices at Kamar-Taj felt the pressure on their shoulders lighten. They let out a collective sigh of relief and looked up at Robert with a mix of awe and fear.
"What a terrifying person. I haven't heard much about him before, but how does his body contain so much energy? Won't he explode?" Doom wondered as he stared at Robert in the sky. He could tell that Robert wasn't walking the path of magic, but after all his study of extraordinary books, he still couldn't figure out what path Robert was on, leaving him confused.
Doom thought that if his body could contain so much energy, his mastery of magic would skyrocket, and he wouldn't even fear the lords of Hell!
"Heh, coward… Hmm?" Robert also sensed the change between dimensions. Just as he was about to say something, he noticed another shift.
The forces of the Dark Dimension and Earth's dimension, which had been fighting, suddenly began to merge, as if communicating.
"Do you really want mutual destruction?" The Dark Lord's consciousness transmitted a direct threat to Earth's dimension.
"You're the one invading Earth, and you dare ask me that?" Earth's dimensional consciousness quickly responded, clearly annoyed.
To Earth's dimension, many powerful beings had attempted to invade over the years, but it had never seen an entire dimension come barreling in like this.
Though Earth's dimension didn't want to fight the Dark Dimension head-on, it had no choice with Robert threatening to blow up the planet.
"I just want a few people. There's no need for us to get personally involved. At our level, it's beneath us to fight directly," the Dark Lord laughed.
"If you don't want my dimensional power entering your space, then let's both step aside and let our underlings play. You have some strong people on Earth, don't you? Don't you trust them?"
"You want me to let your warriors in?" Earth's dimensional consciousness hesitated.
"They can enter, but as long as you don't intervene, their lives are in their hands. I won't interfere, either. How about it?" The Dark Lord struck Earth's weak spot.
If the Dark Dimension's forces died on Earth, it would benefit Earth's dimension, allowing it to harvest energy and rules. This idea tempted Earth's dimension.
With a hum, Earth's dimensional power receded, and the Dark Dimension's forces didn't immediately invade. Instead, an eternal full moon appeared in the sky above the Dark Dimension, shining down through the barrier of Earth's dimension and illuminating a breach.
"What is that?" Baron Mordo and the others hadn't even had time to react before it happened.
"Have they struck a deal?" Robert frowned as he stared at the sudden moonlight in the sky above Earth. Realizing what had happened, he sneered and unleashed the ki blast he had been holding.
"A full-force invasion of Earth. It's beyond imagination!"
"Yes, we're not just taking our targets back; we can have some real fun…"
"Without Earth's dimensional suppression, this feels amazing… Wait, what's that? Another full moon?"
"No, it's not a moon! It's an attack! Watch
out!"
Boom! The Dark Dimension's warriors, descending through the moonlight, were caught off guard by Robert's ki blast. A terrifying explosion rocked both Earth and the dimensions beyond.
