Chapter 780 - Chapter 780: The Vanishing Darkness

With a loud "thud," Hulk's fist tore through Malekith's body, momentarily stunning the dark elf. He hadn't expected to not only fail to injure Susan Storm but also to be injured by Hulk. This unexpected turn of events ignited a raging fire of anger within Malekith.

"Die!" Malekith roared, unleashing a surge of power toward Hulk. Sensing the threat, Hulk instinctively fought back.

A resounding "boom" followed. But now, Malekith's strength surpassed even Algrim's, and it was beyond Hulk's ability to cope. As Malekith's attack hit, Hulk's arms deformed, and his body was thrown to the ground, battered and bruised.

"Such a big brute, yet nothing but a useless wreck," Malekith sneered, his injuries healing rapidly, and he looked at the fallen Hulk with disdain.

"Hulk is angry!" Hulk growled in response to Malekith's words, the fury within him surging. His body swelled even more as he charged toward Malekith once again, his fists ready to strike.

It was Malekith's arrogance that led him to stay in the same spot. Had he moved, Hulk's furious punch would have missed. However, after seeing Hulk's arms break so easily earlier, Malekith dismissed him as a threat. Even when Hulk grew larger, Malekith didn't bother to dodge.

"Bang!" This time, Hulk's enraged punch hit Malekith squarely, sending him flying. Although this blow didn't pierce through Malekith's body, it was enough to humiliate the dark elf.

"You ugly green beast, you're dead!" Malekith's eyes blazed with murderous intent as he insulted Hulk, further fueling his rage.

From the moment he was born, Hulk had endured countless scornful looks. Though he had managed to forget some of these painful memories after joining the Avengers, Malekith's words reopened old wounds. Hulk was reminded of his deepest insecurities—how even Bruce Banner, the man who shared his life, despised him.

"Roar!" Hulk bellowed in fury, reverting to a primal, beast-like state. His rationality slipped away, leaving only the most savage and pure form of anger.

Seeing the look in Hulk's eyes, Malekith hesitated for a moment. He had seen such a look before, usually in the eyes of those who had nothing left to lose. And when faced with such desperate individuals, a vicious counterattack often followed.

Even though Malekith didn't think much of Hulk's strength, he didn't want to engage with someone in this frenzied state. The risk wasn't worth it.

With a hum, Malekith conjured a massive amount of dark energy, intending to restrain Hulk in the same way Kara had stalled Algrim.

But to Malekith's surprise, his dark energy was instantly blocked by an invisible force—Susan Storm's telekinetic powers. At the same time, a shockwave from Susan sent Malekith flying, catching him completely off guard.

Telekinesis could be frustratingly elusive, and even superhuman beings struggled to detect it if they weren't fully focused. Malekith hadn't expected such a blow and couldn't react in time.

"Thud!" At that very moment, Hulk, in his rage, saw Malekith being thrown in his direction. Acting on pure instinct, Hulk tore into Malekith, ripping his body in half.

"You're asking for death!" Malekith snarled, his eyes filled with rage. He hadn't feared Hulk—he just didn't want to deal with the berserk version of him. But now, with his body torn apart, he lost any remaining patience.

Even with his body split in two, Malekith's power didn't diminish. His severed halves attacked Hulk from different directions, forcing the enraged green giant to hesitate momentarily. In that brief moment of confusion, Hulk was grievously wounded.

Malekith's bizarre attack left Hulk unsure of how to respond. As a result, the dark elf managed to tear into Hulk's muscular frame, which seemed to offer little defense against this supernatural assault.

In the realm of Earth's technology, Hulk's body was considered nearly indestructible. Few known weapons could harm him, let alone kill him. But in battles of this magnitude, where supernatural forces clashed, Hulk's durability wasn't as invincible. Even the strongest beings could find their defenses broken under such conditions, much like how Hulk could tear through Malekith's body.

In battles of this level, breaking through defenses wasn't uncommon. The problem was that these powerful beings had such terrifying vitality that killing them outright was no easy feat.

Thus, even though Malekith had torn into Hulk's body, it didn't mean Hulk would die at his hands. Instead, the damage only enraged Hulk further. He ignored his wounds and fought back savagely, engaging Malekith in a brutal exchange of blows, trading injuries and lives.

The fight between Hulk and Malekith had devolved into a blood-soaked melee, resembling Robert's earlier fight with Damian. Their battle was so intense and close-quarters that even Susan Storm couldn't intervene.

Seeing that she could no longer assist Hulk, Susan turned her attention to the battlefield. She noticed that the werewolves and vampires were holding their own against the dark elves, and Kara was still keeping Algrim occupied, so there was little need for her help there. Susan quickly shifted her focus to aid Robert instead.

With Malekith no longer in the fight, Robert's burden had lessened, but with Tara relentlessly pressing him to reveal his trump card, the pressure was still mounting. Susan's telekinetic support immediately lightened the load on Robert.

Robert's telekinesis had always been weaker than Tara's, even though his combat strength kept growing. Telekinesis was a later development for Robert, so it hadn't advanced as quickly as his other abilities.

But now, with Susan's help, their combined telekinesis reduced Tara's offensive options. Tara could still phase in and out of the physical plane, but otherwise, Robert was far less pressured.

Tara was growing frustrated with the situation. He had hoped Malekith would finish off Susan, or at least incapacitate her enough to prevent her from interfering. But now, seeing the brutal battle between Malekith and Hulk, Tara knew he couldn't blame Malekith for not trying hard enough. Both fighters were going all out, testing who had the stronger life force. Their fight was even fiercer than his own with Robert.

"You've grown so weak that you need a woman to help you?" Tara taunted, shifting his focus back to Robert. He hoped that mocking him would break his concentration, though his previous attempts at verbal attacks had failed.

"Four against one, and you have the nerve to say that?" Robert replied with a sneer, glancing at General Manny and the others.

Tara froze, momentarily unsure of how to respond. He wanted to say that Manny and the others were less helpful than Susan, but that would hurt the morale of his subordinates.

Generals Manny, Cabo, and Razor had fought loyally beside Tara for years. They had done their best to take on Robert, nearly dying in the process. Saying they were useless wouldn't be fair, as they had absorbed much of Robert's firepower and contributed greatly to the battle.

"Enough talking! Let's fight again!" Robert shouted, not to distract Tara, but to draw his attention.

With a swift move, Robert vanished and reappeared near General Cabo, focusing his attack on him.

With a sharp sound, Robert's energy blast hit General Cabo, who had little ability to fight back. His body exploded into countless shadowy fragments.

At that moment, the Dark Dimension once again sensed Cabo's peril, and a new wave of dark energy descended upon Earth, trying to heal Cabo's injuries.

This wasn't the Dark Dimension actively saving them but rather a special rule it had promised Tara and his generals.

Previously, when Robert had killed General Minta, the Dark Dimension had also attempted to save him. But Robert had used the "Demon Sealing Wave" to sever Minta's connection to the Dark Dimension, allowing him to finish Minta off.

The situation now was similar, but the Dark Dimension was much closer to Earth. Not only was it able to save Cabo, but it could also empower him further.

"What a nuisance..." Robert muttered as he sensed the Dark Dimension's intervention again. Without it, the situation wouldn't be so dire.

However, Robert couldn't use the "Demon Sealing Wave" in front of so many people. If the move were interrupted, the backlash could be devastating for him, making it not worth the risk.

Just then, a bright light suddenly illuminated the entire Earth, and the darkness that had enveloped the planet abruptly vanished.

For a moment, the Earth was bathed in sunlight before returning to its normal day and night cycle.

Even the dark environment created by the dark elves' blood and mysterious power vanished, without returning after the planet's darkness disappeared.

"Lorna succeeded!" Robert's eyes lit up, and he felt a weight lift from his shoulders.

At the same time, the dark energy descending upon General Cabo collided with a mysterious force and was quickly dispelled.

When the Earth had been covered in darkness, its dimensional consciousness had little recourse against the Dark Dimension's power. But now that the world had returned to normal, the Earth's dimensional awareness no longer had to contend with threats on multiple fronts. Naturally, it wouldn't allow the Dark Dimension to continue unchallenged.

Now that war had broken out between the two realms, the old treaties between them were nullified.

"Now's my chance!" Robert's eyes gleamed

as he moved swiftly, unleashing a series of powerful energy blasts that targeted every fragment of General Cabo's shadowy remains, destroying him completely.

"Cabo!" General Manny and General Razor cried out in shock, while Tara glared at Robert with hatred. Tara, however, couldn't shake the feeling that the situation was turning against them.

Although the disappearance of darkness only slightly weakened Tara, the surrounding dark elves had fared much worse. Their strength had reverted to what it was before…
