At first, Clark was able to hold his own against the Kryptonian monster, but as the fight dragged on, he found it increasingly difficult. The situation worsened after he was injured while momentarily distracted by Kara. From that point on, the pressure mounted, and Clark began to wonder if this creature possessed Saiyan genes and abilities. Otherwise, how could it be growing stronger with every passing moment of battle?
Clark failed to notice that as time passed, his movements had slowed, and his strength had waned. His punches were no longer enough to make the Kryptonian monster budge.
With a sharp hiss, the monster lunged toward Clark, who was still struggling to get up. But before it could strike, Kara suddenly appeared, blasting it with her heat vision and forcing it back.
"Wait! Don't use heat vision on it directly!" Clark shouted as he scrambled to his feet, his mind clearing. "I hit it with heat vision several times before, and it seemed to get stronger. It can absorb part of our heat vision's power!"
"What?" Kara looked at the creature with confusion, not fully understanding the situation.
Just as Clark had warned, although the Kryptonian monster was forced back and its chest was seared red by Kara's heat vision, it wasn't truly injured. In fact, the redness began to fade, and Kara could sense an even greater pressure emanating from the beast.
With a thundering crash, the monster swung its massive hand down at Kara's previous position, shattering the ground and creating a massive chasm in the middle of the city, burying countless buildings and their occupants.
"Try to lure it away from populated areas! If we don't, this whole city—no, this whole region—won't be able to withstand the damage, and the Earth could crack open here!" Clark called out as he flashed toward the creature. With Kara's help, he felt they might be able to move the monster to a safer location.
"Kara, this monster is from Krypton. Jor-El said it was part of a forbidden experiment. Some old Kryptonian data must have fallen into the wrong hands. He doesn't know exactly how the creature was created, but he suspects Kryptonite might work against it, just like it works on us," Kara relayed as she dashed toward the monster. The two Kryptonians charged the beast together like two arrows aimed at its body.

For an ordinary enemy, an attack from both Clark and Kara would have been devastating, piercing their steel-like bodies with ease. But the monster's skin was even tougher than theirs. Despite being hit hard, the creature was merely knocked back, neither injured nor forced into the ground.
"Roar!" The Kryptonian monster was clearly enraged. As it climbed back to its feet, it let out a terrifying roar, the sound waves becoming a physical force that swept over everything around it.
Some of the lucky survivors nearby instantly had their heads explode, their blood splattering across the Avengers, who were filled with fury at the sight.
Not only did the sound wave kill civilians, but it also injured many of the Avengers. Steve and Bucky, both older and more vulnerable, passed out from the blast and were immediately transported back to the Avengers' base for medical attention.
Batman, too, was affected. Blood trickled from his ears, and he struggled to maintain his composure.
Panting heavily in the ruins, Batman quickly plugged his ears with a device from his utility belt, stemming the flow of blood. Even so, he was in poor shape. Fortunately, the communication systems had been destroyed by the sonic attack, so Alfred wouldn't be able to see him like this.
"This isn't working. If I want to keep playing the role of Batman, I need to join the fight. But my skills aren't enough for this kind of battle," Batman muttered, watching the distant clash. His vision was impaired, but that didn't stop his mind from racing.
"What would the real Batman do in this situation? His contingency plans clearly aren't enough to handle something like this. Would he be able to perform any better than I am?"
"Even if he wouldn't do much better, he would still fight. Even though he's often at odds with Superman… Damn it! This is so complicated!"
"Wait… Superman?" Batman paused as a thought crossed his mind. His eyes flashed with hesitation as he glanced toward the battlefield.
"This monster must be one of Lex Luthor's creations. Even if Batman didn't know about Luthor's involvement, he would deduce the connection to Kryptonians. Could Kryptonite work? Should I get involved?"
Meanwhile, Lex Luthor was watching the battle unfold. He had a series of buttons at his side, each representing a different contingency plan.
"Supergirl has shown up, but their family has disappeared. It looks like they've hidden on that mysterious island. It would be too much of a hassle to find it now. I'll wait for the right moment to execute the final phase of my plan," Luthor mused, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
"Honestly, I can't wait to see the look on their faces when they experience true despair."

Back on the battlefield, the Kryptonian monster, having finished roaring, accelerated toward Clark and Kara. Its massive fists slammed into the siblings, who were still reeling from the sonic attack, sending them flying.
This time, however, they managed to stay in the air, catching themselves mid-flight and immediately charging back at the monster.
The only real advantage Clark and Kara had wasn't their speed—though the monster was fast, its enormous size made it seem sluggish. Their real advantage was that the Kryptonian monster couldn't fly. Whether due to its massive weight or its chaotic mind, it couldn't control its own bio-field, making flight impossible.
But this didn't mean the monster was limited to brute strength. Its heat vision was even more powerful than Clark and Kara's.
As for whether the monster could use freezing breath, that remained to be seen. At least for now, it hadn't shown that ability.
With a hiss, the monster fired its own heat vision at Clark and Kara as they flew toward it. Its eyes, spaced far apart, allowed it to shoot two beams in different directions.
Kara and Clark's eyes narrowed, and they both fired their heat vision in response, combining their efforts to match the monster's blast. Despite the intensity, they weren't overwhelmed.
Suddenly, a divine figure descended from the sky, surrounded by a brilliant light. The Kryptonian monster sensed danger and instinctively raised its massive fist to block.
Crack!
The next moment, the monster's fist collided with a sharp sword, but the sword didn't pierce the monster's skin. It only left a red mark on the beast's hand.
Buzz! In that critical moment, the sword began to glow with a divine radiance, and its sharpness increased exponentially. It sliced clean through the monster's fist, severing it entirely!
"Roar!" The monster roared in pain and anger as its hand fell to the ground. Its heat vision intensified, forcing Clark and Kara to retreat, while it kicked toward the new attacker.
Duang! A shield intercepted the monster's massive foot, but both the shield and its wielder were sent skidding across the ground, carving a deep trench before finally coming to a stop.
"What a terrifying monster! It nearly broke through my Vulcan Sword!" The newcomer was none other than Diana, who had arrived to help. She marveled at the monster's power as she tightened her grip on the Vulcan Sword and the Shield of Aegis, her eyes alight with battle lust.
"Be careful! This monster is no joke! Even Superman and I couldn't beat it, and we've already been hurt," Kara warned as she flew over to Diana's side.
"Even Superman's injured? That doesn't seem right," Diana remarked, glancing between Kara and the approaching Clark.
From her brief encounter with the beast, Diana could sense its overwhelming strength—far beyond her own. She couldn't handle it alone. But given Clark's usual power, he should at least be able to hold his own against it. Seeing the injuries on Clark's body, she realized Kara wasn't exaggerating, which left her puzzled. Could the monster have been holding back when it attacked her?
While Diana was still pondering, the one-handed Kryptonian monster let out another furious roar. From the stump where its hand had been, a terrifying bone spike emerged, growing out of its severed arm!
If the monster had simply regrown its hand, Diana wouldn't have been too surprised, having seen many dimensional beings capable of regeneration. But this was something different. The Kryptonian monster seemed to have evolved, adapting to its injury by growing an even deadlier weapon—a sharp bone spear. And it seemed that this evolution was somehow linked to Diana's Vulcan Sword…
"Where's the Saiyan? Isn't he at Kamar-Taj? I saw some of their students helping earlier," Diana asked, turning to Kara.
"He was transported away by the Space Stone… I don't know where he is," Kara said, her voice filled with sadness. "I've already got people researching the Space Stone, but I don't know if he'll be able to come back…"
"Don't worry. He's got more tricks up his sleeve than all of us combined. He'll make it back," Diana reassured her, her eyes narrowing. "For now, we've got two options: we hold out until he returns, or we take down this monster ourselves!"
"He can't fly—that might be his biggest weakness!" Clark nodded, reminding them, "I've already contacted Tony. He's going to get Kryptonite from Batman. Let's see if it can work a miracle…"
"Then we'll knock it into the
air!" Diana didn't know what Kryptonite was, but she quickly formulated a plan. Charging toward the monster, she shouted, "Hey, ugly! Over here!"
Seeing Diana suddenly rush toward it, the Kryptonian monster stomped down at her, but at that moment, Diana crossed her arms in front of her. The Bracelets of Submission emitted a brilliant light, flipping the monster's massive body into the air, leaving it momentarily suspended...
