Ryan was interrupted from his thoughts as a knock was heard. He suddenly looked up and walked to the door, to see Tayler standing there.
"Tayler what are you doing here?" Ryan asked as he walked out of the room, closing the door behind him.
"Your Highness, the guard you appointed to keep an eye on Wyatt found this in his room." He said handing a brown envelope to him.
"What's this?" Ryan asked, collecting the envelope as he opened it.
"It smells weird, what is inside?" Ryan asked.
"I also don't know what it is? I have already given a sample of this to the royal physician to test it." Tayler explained.
"And Father?" He inquired.
"We haven't gotten much from him but one of the guards tried to poison the princess while we were away." He said as Ryan tightened his grip on the envelope.
"So I suggest we be careful of what the princess consumes since she is now pregnant." He suggested as Ryan nodded.
"Keep on investigating Father." He said as Tayler nodded and left.
Ryan entered the room to see that Iris had woken up and was now staring at him.
"Do you need anything?" Ryan asked, shutting the door.
"Why am I here? Iris asked as she tried to seat up.
"You're here because this is your home." He said as he helped her seat up.
"I saw the marriage contract." He said as Iris flinched.
"Why were you going through it? Did someone say something to you while I was away?" He asked. He knew something had happened or else, she wouldn't be silent and skipping her meals.
"I'm fine, nothing happened." Iris replied.
"I want to go outside." She said.
"Fine but you need to be gentle the doctor said that if you suffer another accident that we would lose the baby." He said softly.
"I know! I'll take care of myself."
"Iris I want you to know that I care for you and the baby and I don't want anything to happen to you both." He said as he held both her hands.
"I understand." Iris nodded.
Ryan helped up Iris and grntly wrapped his arms around her waist and led her to the garden where Isabella and Tiana were talking.
"Ryan?" Tiana called as she rushed foward.
"Is she your wife?" Tiana asked as Iris stared at her and back at Ryan.
"Yes, this is Iris my wife." He replied, still holding her waist.
"Wow! She's so pretty...i've heard a lot about you from Ryan." She smiled as she approached Iria and gave her a side hug.
"I'm Tiana, Ryan's best friend and the-"
"Don't tell me you want to tell her that you're the warrior princess?" Ryan laughed.
"Oh? It seems you've met my cousin, Ryan's best friend." Isabella giggled, staring down at Iris.
"You see Ryan and Tiana have been friends for like forever, they eat together, play together...people even thought they were going to spend the rest of their lives together until I came along." She giggled.
"Isabella?" Ryan and Tiana called in unison.
