"WHAT?" Isabella asked, giving them a questioning look.
"I was simply telling your wife about your bestfriend or insist she meant to know unless you're hiding something." Isabella smirked.
"Enough! What gives you the right to speak anyhow you please." Ryan asked in anger.
"Oh? Did I forget to say that they fought the war together? You see my cousin is a very brave princess." She complemented, deliberately eyeing Iris in disgust.
"Isabella? Stop you don't have to say all that." Tiana scolded.
"Iris, I'm really sorry you see Isabella just speaks her mind not caring if she hurts other people's feelings." Tiana states, laughing nervously.
"I want to go back to the room." Iris said tugging at Ryan's arm which was still holding her waist.
"But you said you wanted some fresh air." He reminded.
"I've changed my mind I want to go back inside." She replied.
"Fine, i'll take you back." He said as they both headed back in the direction they came from.
Once they got to the entrace of the room Iris wiggled out of Ryan's grip and opened the door.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know that Isabella was going to cause a scene."
"Why are you apologizing?" She asked, staring at him.
"Aren't you angry?" He asked softly.
"Angry? Who am I to get angry with your royal highness?" She asked sarcastically.
"You're my wife." He replied firmly.
"A contractual wife." She reminded.
"What's gotten into you? You've changed, and I wasn't even away for that long...i know something happened because if it didn't, you won't be behaving strangely and hiding things from me." Ryan voiced out. He didn't know what had come over her but he kbew it had somethubg to do with Isabella.
"It's Isabella right?" He asked, staring at her.
"Why do you always think that it's always Isabella? I don't even know why you hate her so much for always saying the truth." Iris replied as he tried to avoif his gaze.
"Wait! Are you jealous?" Ryan asked, confused.
"Jealous? I don't think i am xapable of being jealous of what was never mine from the beginning, all this is a scam, this marriage, you're lying...we're lying to our loved ones just because of what?" She asked as Ryan just looked at her.
"To be honest, i never wanted this martiage all i ever wanted in this life was to be free and to find the person who killed my parents but now i can't achieve any of tbat because i'm stuck here in this contract marriage where everyone hates me." Iris said as she broke down in tears.
"Iris i'm sorry, i never knew i was causing you so much pain." He replied in a meek tone.
"It's not anyone's fault anymore, if i jadn't come back that night maybe i wouldn't be in this situation." She said looking down at her flat belly.
"You know, the best thing you could do for me is to let me go after tgis contract is over." She said, staring into his eyes.
