Chapter 225 - Chapter 219 The Time of the Games Approaches

"So where are those guys?" Karna asked as he did not see most of the Tenrou Island team in the guild. "It can't be that all of them went for missions, right? I made sure that the companies under me had protected and paid for their property in the last seven years."

"Well, they went for some sort of emergency in the Spirit World. One of Lucy's spirits had appeared and called them all. I felt it was not that serious and decided to stay back," Cana replied as she was looking through the guild's papers. She decided to reduce her mother's workload since she had returned.

"Hmm, then what about Ultear? She might have figured out that the spirits were tricking them, right? So where did she go?"

"She said she wanted to catch up with Ur and show her how strong she had gotten with her Chrono Dragon Slayer Arts," Cana replied without looking up from the books.

"Hmmm, alright. But do you think those guys know that the time dilation limit between the two dimensions is too far apart?"

Cana froze at that and then laughed.

"Damn, those guys were speaking about how they were bored because they had nothing to do for the next three months before the Grand Magic Games. Looks like they got their wish to remove the boredom," Cana laughed and looked at Karna.

"I don't think you are participating."

"Well, I looked at the current roster. I'm pretty sure they were no match for me seven years ago. Joining now would be an overkill. I guess I'll leave it to the others to win it, even though it's overkill for those guys as well."

"Ah, well, I was planning on going as well, but I feel like I would take up the space for one of the other guys," Cana said as she was still looking at the books.

"Ah well, the prize money is high enough that Master might try to add a second team to get the second prize as well. My companies only covered the rent after their bank accounts were empty," Karna muttered as Cana nodded.

"Then maybe I will go as well. It might be fun to see how powerful we have become by now," Cana said as tiny spheres of crush energy spun around her hands like stars.

Don't underestimate these things because they are small. There had never been any item till now that had managed to withstand these small spheres. Plus, it's a long-range attack as well. Cana is the first Crush user in history to create a long-range lethal attack for Crush Magic. When using this attack, Cana can make countless holes right through the opponent, which in most cases can even kill them.

Cana was already able to create Rasengan-shaped Crush Magic spheres on her hand. These spheres, when they get in contact with an object, shred it completely, and the moment they stop, the spinning power crushes and pulls the surrounding materials inward, whether they are living or non-living.

And the small spheres around Cana's hand were the same. They were not created with a lesser amount of magic, but each sphere was created using the same amount of magic used to create a normal Crush sphere. Later, it is compressed to such a small size. But it also gives her the ability to use long-range attacks using multiple such small spheres that tear through almost anything and, at the end, detonate to return to their expanded size, pulling the surrounding mass towards themselves.

So if she used it on a living being, first it would penetrate through their armour and then detonate inside their body, pulverising every organ and bone within them.

So yeah, the sparks of energy she was floating around in her hand were as dangerous as her holding a radioactive metal in the open.

"I think you are supposed to keep the people alive even if they are your opponents," Karna said, and Cana dissipated her magic.

"Damn it, guess I have to rely on cards. Though they might turn out to be overkill as well."

The card production had also increased by a large margin since coming back from the island. Right now, they don't have a shortage of materials. So many guild members were given blank cards to fill up with attack spells when they have free time or when they are training.

"Sometimes I wonder whether we are doing a bit too much," Karna spoke while sitting down next to her.

"What do you think the other guilds must be doing right now?" Cana asked.

"Smarter ones will be planning, some might have already given up. But there will surely be idiots who think they can easily beat us."

At the same time, at the location of a dark guild.

"You, how did you find us? We were sure to keep ourselves hidden from every one of you," the dark wizard shouted in absolute fear.

"You really are an idiot. Don't you know that the dark guilds in Ishgar had almost completely disappeared in the last few years? Because of that, we were able to easily pick up on you guys using the old methods of communication," Sting said as he casually defeated the last member.

"Like always, Sting is still the best," the red Exceed exclaimed from the side.

At the same time, Rogue took out the rest of the stragglers easily and then turned to Sting.

"Have you heard about their return?"

"Yeah, I did. Can't believe I idolised them once." He then clenched his fist. "But I'm sure right now I can take them all on my own." He had an arrogant grin on his face.

"Do you remember last year?" Rogue reminded him with a slight shiver in his hand.

Sting immediately lost his cocky look the moment he remembered the scene.

Sabretooth was planning on inviting the supposed strongest of Fairy Tail to humiliate him in front of many reporters in battle to show that they were stronger than Fairy Tail.

When Gildarts entered the guild, the plan was to embarrass him to make him unstable in the later battle.

But that idea bit them back ten times harder.

A/N - Hope you like it. guys i am planning on finishing Fairy Tail co,.mpletely before moving on to the others.
