The wedding host saw no one coming on stage and repeated into the microphone, "Please, Miss Mi Xiaotao, come to the stage as the witness!"
Mi Xiaotao was walking out with Lu Shaoqing. Hearing the host's words reminded her of the promise she made to be the witness.
She turned around and loudly called out to Wang Xinyuan, "Xinyuan, I'm sorry, I have to leave. I found my mother! I need to see her right away!"
Wang Xinyuan heard her, teared up with joy as well. She knew Mi Xiurong was Mi Xiaotao's concern and understood her urgency to not waste a single minute. "Xiaotao, you go quickly!"
"Yes! Wishing you both happiness in your marriage!"
The host noticed the witness had left, causing the atmosphere to cool down a bit. He quickly continued, "Next, we have the most exhilarating event—who can catch the bride's bouquet and be the next bride? Please come up, all unmarried ladies present!"
