Pikachu vs Lapras
The referee's flag dropped sharply.
"Battle start!"
The crowd erupted in a deafening roar as the first clash of the Elite Four Challenge began.
Pikachu stood on the field, cheeks sparking with electricity, tail held high and confident. Across from him, Lorelei's Lapras floated gracefully above the battlefield, its massive shell gleaming under the stadium lights while a cool mist rolled off its body.
Ash smiled, eyes focused. "Alright, buddy. Let's show them what we've got!"
Lorelei's voice was calm and elegant, yet carried clear authority. "Lapras, begin with Sing."
Lapras opened its mouth and released a beautiful, soothing melody that echoed across the entire stadium. The hypnotic song washed over the field like a gentle lullaby, trying to lull Pikachu into sleep.
But Pikachu shook his head rapidly, ears twitching. "Pika-pi!" With a burst of speed, he dashed forward, breaking the song's hold before it could fully take effect.
Ash grinned. "Nice! Thunderbolt, now!"
Pikachu leaped high into the air. "Pika… CHUUUUU!" A powerful bolt of electricity shot straight toward Lapras.
Lorelei reacted instantly. "Lapras, Dive underwater!"
The battlefield had a large pool section in the center, perfect for Water-types. Lapras dove smoothly beneath the surface, the Thunderbolt striking the water and exploding in a shower of sparks, but doing minimal damage.
The crowd cheered at the clever evasion.
Lorelei followed up immediately. "Now, Ice Beam from below!"
Lapras burst out of the water at an angle, firing a freezing beam of ice directly at Pikachu while he was still mid-air.
Ash's eyes narrowed. "Quick Attack to dodge, then Thunder Wave!"
Pikachu twisted in the air with incredible agility, the Ice Beam barely grazing his tail. He landed on all fours and unleashed a wide wave of crackling electricity that spread across the field like a net.
Lapras tried to retreat into the water again, but the Thunder Wave caught its lower body, causing sparks to dance across its shell and slowing its movements.
"Paralysis landed!" Ash called out.
Lorelei didn't look fazed. "Lapras, use Perish Song!"
The majestic Pokémon began singing a haunting, ominous melody that echoed across the entire stadium. The crowd fell into a tense silence as the eerie song filled the air.
Ash's expression turned serious. "We won't let that finish! Pikachu, use Iron Tail on the water to create a splash, then follow with Electro Ball!"
Pikachu charged forward, his tail glowing metallic silver. With a powerful swing, he struck the surface of the pool, sending a massive wave of water exploding upward and disrupting Lapras's concentration. The Perish Song faltered for a split second.
Pikachu immediately gathered a spinning ball of electricity above his head and hurled it straight at the distracted Lapras.
The Electro Ball connected hard, exploding in a brilliant flash. Lapras cried out, sliding back across the wet field from the impact.
Lorelei narrowed her eyes. "Lapras, Hydro Pump!"
A powerful jet of water shot forward like a cannon. Pikachu dodged left and right, but the sheer force of the blast created shockwaves that knocked him off balance.
Ash shouted, "Use the momentum! Spin and hit it with Thunderbolt again!"
Pikachu turned the stumble into a spinning leap, firing another Thunderbolt mid-rotation. The electricity struck true, hitting Lapras square in the chest.
Lapras roared in pain but countered immediately with a Blizzard, filling the entire half of the field with freezing winds and snow.
The temperature dropped sharply. Pikachu shivered but refused to back down.
"Pika… CHUUU!" He pushed through the blizzard and unleashed another powerful Thunderbolt, the electricity cutting through the snow like a golden spear.
The two attacks clashed in the center of the field electricity versus ice and wind. Sparks and frost exploded outward in a spectacular display. The crowd was on their feet, screaming in excitement.
Lorelei pressed the advantage. "Lapras, use Sheer Cold!"
A freezing aura gathered around Lapras as it prepared the ultimate Ice-type move.
Ash's eyes widened. "Not happening! Pikachu, full speed Quick Attack into Thunderbolt combo!"
Pikachu became a yellow blur, zigzagging at blinding speed to close the distance. He slammed into Lapras with Quick Attack, then immediately unleashed a point-blank Thunderbolt right into its shell.
The combination was devastating. Lapras staggered, the Sheer Cold charge interrupted.
But Lapras wasn't done. With a determined cry, it retaliated with a powerful Body Slam, crashing its massive body down toward Pikachu.
Pikachu barely rolled out of the way, the ground shaking from the impact.
Both Pokémon were breathing heavily now, the battle turning into a true back-and-forth war of attrition. The crowd was completely hooked, chanting both names.
Ash and Lorelei were both fully focused, calling out commands without hesitation.
"Lapras, Sing again keep the pressure!"
"Pikachu, dodge and use Electro Ball!"
The battlefield became a chaotic mix of water, ice, electricity, and raw power. Lapras used the pool to its advantage, diving and resurfacing for sneak attacks, while Pikachu relied on his superior speed and agility to dodge and counter.
At one point, Lapras managed to land a clean Ice Beam, freezing Pikachu's legs temporarily. The crowd gasped.
But Pikachu's eyes burned with determination. He broke free with sheer willpower and unleashed a massive Thunderbolt that lit up the entire stadium.
The battle raged on for several intense minutes, both Pokémon pushing each other to their limits.
Finally, after a brutal exchange of Hydro Pump versus Thunderbolt, Pikachu saw his opening.
"Pikachu… now!" Ash shouted.
Pikachu gathered every ounce of power he had left. Electricity crackled wildly around his body as he leaped high into the air.
"Pika… CHUUUUUUUUUUUUU!"
The most powerful Thunderbolt of the entire match exploded forward in a blinding golden beam, striking Lapras directly in the center of its shell.
Lapras let out a long, pained cry as it slid backward across the field, ice and water exploding around it. It struggled to stand… then collapsed with a heavy thud, eyes spiraling.
The referee raised his flag.
"Lapras is unable to battle! Pikachu wins!"
The stadium exploded in cheers.
Pikachu stood tall in the center of the field, chest heaving, sparks still dancing around his cheeks. Then, with a dramatic flair, he struck a perfect superhero pose one fist raised high toward the sky, tail held like a cape, head tilted confidently.
"Pika… PIIIIIIKAAAAA!"
The crowd went absolutely wild, chanting "Pikachu! Pikachu!" as the little electric mouse soaked in the victory.
Ash laughed proudly, pumping his fist. "That's my buddy!"
Lorelei recalled her Lapras with a small, respectful smile. "Well fought… both of you."
The first round of the 6 vs 6 Elite Four Challenge had ended in spectacular fashion.
