The roar of the Mandarin Island stadium had finally faded into the warm evening breeze, but the electric thrill of victory still hummed in the air like an unspoken melody. Ash Ketchum stood at the center of it all, the weight of his first Elite Four win settling comfortably on his shoulders. The crowd's cheers, the flashing cameras, and the respectful nod from Lorelei still lingered in his mind as the group made their way out of the arena.
Lorelei walked beside them with a bright, genuine smile that seemed softer and more personal than her usual elegant poise. "After a battle like that, you all deserve some proper rest. My private beach villa is only a short drive from here. It has plenty of space, a beautiful private beach, and excellent training facilities. I would be honored if you and your companions would stay there for the night or longer, if you wish before continuing your Orange Islands journey."
Misty's eyes lit up like stars on a clear night. "A private beach villa? With an ocean view? This is going to be amazing! Thank you so much, Lorelei!"
Sabrina offered a soft, approving smile, her violet eyes calm and thoughtful. Daisy nodded happily, already imagining the peaceful walks along the shore. Giselle walked quietly beside them, a faint blush still coloring her cheeks from the earlier compliments and interactions on the field. She glanced at Ash with a small, secret smile, her heart beating just a little faster at the thought of spending more time together in such a beautiful setting.
Tracey was already sketching the scenic coastal road as they traveled, his pencil moving quickly across the page. "This is going to make for some incredible drawings. The light on the water at sunset… perfect!"
Ash smiled warmly at Lorelei. "We really appreciate the invitation. After that intense battle, a day of relaxation sounds perfect."
Lorelei's smile widened, a hint of warmth in her eyes that hadn't been there before. "It's the least I can do for the new Kanto League Champion."
The drive along the scenic coastal road was peaceful. The sun was beginning to set, painting the sky in hues of orange, pink, and gold that reflected beautifully on the calm ocean. The group chatted lightly, the atmosphere relaxed and filled with the easy camaraderie they had built over their journey.
When they finally arrived at Lorelei's private beach villa, everyone was struck by its beauty. The villa was stunning a perfect blend of modern luxury and cozy elegance. Large glass windows offered breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean, while a spacious garden filled with tropical flowers and palm trees surrounded the property. A wide wooden deck led directly to a pristine private beach where gentle waves lapped against the soft white sand. The air smelled of salt, flowers, and the faint sweetness of the evening breeze.
A well-dressed butler named Sebastian greeted them at the grand entrance with a polite, practiced bow.
"Welcome back, Madame Lorelei. And a warmest welcome to your honored guests. Everything has been prepared for your arrival."
Lorelei nodded gracefully. "Thank you, Sebastian. Please make sure everyone is comfortable."
The girls, including Lorelei herself, eagerly decided to go on a villa tour. Misty was practically bouncing with excitement as they headed off, their laughter echoing through the halls as they explored the luxurious living areas, the spacious bedrooms, the elegant dining room, the garden, and the beach access.
Ash and Tracey were escorted by the butler to their respective rooms on the upper floor.
Once inside his spacious, ocean-view room, Ash finally had a quiet moment to himself. The room was beautifully appointed a large bed with soft linens, a private balcony overlooking the sea, and a comfortable sitting area. He sat on the edge of the bed and mentally opened his System.

Meanwhile, far away in the Kanto region…
The scene shifted to the prestigious Kanto High Command headquarters. In a secure, dimly lit meeting room lined with heavy oak panels and monitors displaying various regional reports, the remaining Elite Four members Bruno, Agatha, and Lance sat around a large table with Chairman Charles Goodshow.
They were in the middle of a serious discussion about the growing problem of illegal Pokémon trade in Kanto. Reports of rare and powerful Pokémon being smuggled across borders had been increasing, and the atmosphere in the room was tense.
An urgent message arrived for Goodshow. His expression changed as he listened to the informant. He then gestured for the footage to be displayed on the large central screen.
The video began playing the full recording of Ash's intense 6 vs 6 battle against Lorelei, including the spectacular legendary mirror match between the two Articuno.
The room fell into focused silence as they watched the battle unfold.
Bruno burst out laughing boisterously, slapping his knee hard enough to make the table shake. "Hahaha! That kid has improved so much since our 1 vs 1 fight! I knew he had real potential after he beat me with that Eevee. Look at him now taking down Lorelei in a full 6 vs 6! The boy's got guts and serious talent! He's come a long way."
Agatha nodded slowly, her sharp eyes gleaming with interest. "Samuel's protégé indeed. He has a very good future ahead of him. The way he adapts mid-battle and handles his Pokémon with such calm precision… quite impressive. The young Champion shows great promise."
Lance leaned forward, arms crossed, a rare intrigued smile on his face. "The kid's got determination and courage. He might be a strong addition to the G-Men force one day. We should keep a close eye on him. Someone with that level of skill and heart could be very useful."
Chairman Goodshow had a beaming smile on his face, his eyes twinkling with pride. "What a talented young Champion! Kanto is truly lucky to have such a rising star. He handled that battle with remarkable composure."
After watching the impressive footage, they resumed their previous meeting about the illegal Pokémon trade, though the atmosphere in the room had noticeably lightened thanks to Ash's outstanding performance.
Back on Mandarin Island, near the beautiful private beach villa…
Ash and the gang had just settled in. The villa was even more stunning up close luxurious yet welcoming, with perfect ocean views and a peaceful private beach. Sebastian made sure everyone was comfortable, offering refreshments and showing them around the common areas.
The girls, including Lorelei, continued their villa tour, chatting and laughing as they explored the rooms, garden, and beach access. Misty was especially excited, pointing out every beautiful detail and already planning beach activities. Sabrina observed everything with quiet appreciation, while Daisy commented on the lovely ecosystems around the villa. Giselle, still a bit shy, gradually opened up and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.
Ash and Tracey were shown to their rooms by the butler. Once alone, Ash took a moment to reflect on the day. The victory, the new mission reward, and the upcoming Shiny Frigibax opportunity filled him with motivation.
With a day of relaxation ahead and new adventures waiting, the Orange Islands journey felt more promising than ever.
To be continued…
