Chapter 281 - Chapter 270: Kumquat Island – The Final Orange Badge

The Duo of pokemon's cut through the crystal-clear waters of the Orange Archipelago as Ash and his group finally approached Kumquat Island, the location of Ash's fourth and final Orange Crew Gym battle. The island's beautiful beaches and lush greenery came into view, and the atmosphere on deck was filled with excitement and anticipation.

Ash stood at the railing with his usual confident stance, Pikachu perched proudly on his shoulder and Eevee trotting at his feet. Misty leaned comfortably against his right side, Sabrina on his left, while Daisy and Giselle stayed close behind, chatting lightly. Tracey was busy sketching the approaching island, his pencil moving rapidly across the page.

"Finally," Ash said with a determined smile. "The last Orange Crew badge. Once I get this, we'll be one step closer to the Orange League Championship."

Misty grinned up at him. "You've been on fire lately. I can't wait to see you crush this Gym too."

Sabrina's violet eyes sparkled with quiet pride. "Your growth has been remarkable. This battle should be interesting."

Daisy nodded warmly. "And after that, we can relax properly. You deserve it, Ash."

Giselle, still a bit shy but much more open now, gently squeezed his arm. "We'll all be cheering for you."

Ash wrapped an arm around Misty and pulled Giselle closer with the other, smiling at his girls. "Having all of you with me makes every battle better."

The group disembarked at the sunny port and began walking along the beautiful beach path toward the town center. The sand was warm beneath their feet, and the gentle sea breeze carried the scent of salt and tropical flowers. It was a perfect day.

As they strolled, a woman in her late thirties suddenly rushed toward them from the side. Before anyone could react, she threw her arms around Ash in a tight, emotional hug.

"Travis! My boy, you're back!" she exclaimed happily, squeezing him tightly.

Ash froze for a second, surprised but calm. The woman quickly pulled back, her eyes widening in embarrassment as she realized her mistake.

"Oh dear… I'm so sorry!" she said, covering her mouth with both hands. "You look so much like my son Travis. He started his Pokémon journey with a Pikachu too, just like you. Same age, same confident walk… I got carried away."

Ash chuckled softly, rubbing the back of his neck. "No harm done. It happens."

The woman smiled warmly, regaining her composure. "My name is Luana. I'm a local hotelier here on Kumquat Island and also the Gym Leader. Our hotel has a fantastic workout gym and an indoor Pokémon stadium that serves as the official Kumquat Gym battlefield."

Misty's eyes lit up. "A hotel with its own Gym? That sounds convenient!"

Luana laughed. "It is! And as thanks for letting me hug you like that, I'd like to invite all of you to stay in our most exquisite suite completely free of charge. It has a beautiful ocean view and plenty of space for everyone."

Ash exchanged glances with his girls. They all nodded eagerly.

"We'd love to," Ash said with a grateful smile. "Thank you, Luana."

As they walked toward the luxurious hotel, Luana chatted animatedly with the group. She was warm and welcoming, sharing stories about the island and her son Travis, who was currently traveling in another region. The girls quickly warmed up to her, especially when she complimented how close and supportive the group seemed.

Once they reached the hotel, Luana personally showed them to the grand suite on the top floor. It was stunning spacious rooms, elegant décor, a large balcony overlooking the ocean, and even a private hot spring area.

"Make yourselves at home," Luana said kindly. "And whenever you're ready, we can have our Gym battle. How about tomorrow? I prefer Double Battles both sides use two Pokémon at the same time. The match ends when the first Pokémon is unable to battle."

Ash nodded confidently. "Sounds good. I'll use my New hitters it will be a good experience for them."

Luana raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Interesting choices. I look forward to it."

The rest of the day was relaxing. The group enjoyed the hotel's facilities, had a delicious meal together, and spent time on the beach. Ash and his harem shared many sweet, intimate moments walking hand-in-hand, playing in the shallow water, and enjoying each other's company under the setting sun.

Misty teased Giselle about her growing affection, while Sabrina and Daisy watched with fond smiles. Ash felt truly content, surrounded by the people he cared about most.

That night, as they settled into the luxurious suite, Ash lay on the large bed with his girls cuddled around him. He gently ran his fingers through Misty's hair while Sabrina rested her head on his chest and Daisy and Giselle snuggled close.

"Tomorrow's the last Orange Crew badge," Ash said softly. "Then we can focus on the real challenge the Orange League Championship."

Misty smiled up at him. "You've got this. We all believe in you."

Sabrina nodded. "Your strength has grown so much."

Daisy added warmly, "And we'll be right there with you."

Giselle whispered, "No matter what, we're a team."

Ash pulled them all closer, feeling grateful for every one of them.

The next morning, after a hearty breakfast, the group headed to the indoor Pokémon stadium inside the hotel. The arena was impressive a spacious battlefield with various terrain zones, perfect for Double Battles.

Luana waited for them in the referee area, looking professional and excited.

"Are you ready, Ash?" she asked with a smile.

Ash nodded, his eyes sharp and focused. "Let's do this."

The final Orange Crew Gym battle was about to begin.

The indoor Pokémon stadium inside Luana's luxurious hotel was an impressive sight. The battlefield featured multiple terrain zones rocky areas, a small pool of water, grassy patches, and open sand allowing for versatile strategies in Double Battles. Spectators filled the stands, eager to watch the Gym Leader face a strong challenger.

Luana stood on the opposite side with a confident smile. "I'm looking forward to this, Ash. Let's have a good battle!"

Ash nodded, his expression focused and calm. "Same here. Snorlax, Crystal Onix let's do this!"

The two massive Pokémon appeared in flashes of light. Snorlax yawned lazily but radiated raw power, while Crystal Onix shimmered beautifully, her crystalline body reflecting the stadium lights like a living diamond.

Luana's eyes widened at the sight of Crystal Onix. "A Crystal Onix? I've only heard legends about them. This is going to be exciting!" She released her own Pokémon. "Alakazam! Marowak! Show them what we can do!"

The powerful Psychic-type Alakazam appeared with crossed spoons glowing, while the sturdy Marowak spun its bone club confidently.

Double Battle Start!

Ash's harem cheered loudly from the front row while giving him encouragements.

"Crush them, Ash!" Misty shouted.

Sabrina smiled softly. "Show them your strength."

Daisy and Giselle clapped enthusiastically, supporting their boyfriend.

Ash started strong. "Snorlax, use Body Slam on Marowak! Crystal Onix, Power Gem on Alakazam!"

Snorlax charged forward with surprising speed for his size, slamming into Marowak with massive force. At the same time, Crystal Onix fired a barrage of sparkling Power Gems that lit up the arena like fireworks, forcing Alakazam to teleport away.

Luana countered quickly. "Alakazam, Psychic! Marowak, Bonemerang!"

Alakazam unleashed a powerful Psychic wave toward Snorlax, while Marowak hurled its bone club in a spinning arc. Snorlax tanked the Psychic hit thanks to his thick fat and high defense, while Crystal Onix used her crystalline body to deflect the Bonemerang with a shimmering barrier.

The battle was intense and beautiful. Crystal Onix's diamond-like attacks created dazzling light shows every time she used Power Gem or Ancient Power. Snorlax acted as the unstoppable tank, absorbing hits and retaliating with Heavy Slam and Crunch.

Luana was impressed. "Your Crystal Onix is magnificent! Alakazam, use Focus Blast! Marowak, use Earthquake!"

The stadium shook as Marowak slammed the ground, creating powerful shockwaves. Snorlax braced himself and endured, while Crystal Onix levitated gracefully using her natural buoyancy.

Ash commanded with perfect timing. "Snorlax, Rest and then Giga Impact! Crystal Onix, use Diamond Storm!"

Snorlax took a quick nap to restore his energy, then charged with devastating Giga Impact. Crystal Onix unleashed a beautiful storm of crystalline shards that rained down on both opponents.

The back-and-forth continued for a long time. Luana was a skilled trainer, and her Pokémon worked well together Alakazam providing psychic support and Marowak delivering heavy physical blows. But Ash's bond with his Pokémon and their superior levels and abilities slowly turned the tide.

Crystal Onix's special crystalline abilities gave her excellent defense and powerful special attacks, while Snorlax's raw bulk and strength made him nearly unstoppable once he got going.

After nearly thirty minutes of intense, high-level combat filled with spectacular moves, powerful collisions, and strategic switches between offense and defense, Snorlax delivered a final devastating Heavy Slam on Marowak, knocking it out, while Crystal Onix finished Alakazam with a brilliant Power Gem.

Ash wins the Double Battle!

The entire Gym erupted into thunderous applause with the guests who came to watch the battle. Luana recalled her Pokémon with a proud but respectful smile and walked forward to hand Ash the final Jade Star Badge.

"You truly are an exceptional trainer, Ash," she said warmly. "That was one of the best battles I've had in a long time. Your Crystal Onix is absolutely stunning, and your Snorlax has incredible power."

Ash accepted the badge with a grateful nod. "Thank you, Luana. It was a great match."

At that moment, the System chimed in his mind.

Ash smiled inwardly. One step closer to the Orange League.

Luana insisted on giving them the most luxurious suite for two full days free of charge as thanks for the amazing battle. "You've earned it. Enjoy your stay before continuing your journey."

The group happily accepted. The next two days were pure bliss.

They enjoyed the hotel's private beach, relaxed in the hot springs, had delicious meals together, and spent quality time as a family. Ash and his harem shared many intimate and loving moments walking on the beach at sunset, cuddling in the suite, and simply enjoying each other's company without the pressure of battles.
