Thousands of the weaker plant monsters are surging out of the ground. The entire cave starts to become full of them.
Marigold-"There's no way this many of these monsters were beneath us. It must have just created them"
One of the monsters grabs Marigold and tries to squish her in its hand.
Marigold-"Water skill: water jet"
Marigold creates a burst of water that destroys the monster's hand and pierces through its chest. She is quickly surrounded by more of the monsters.
Marigold-"There are so many in here that they are climbing on top of each other. At this rate they'll fill up the whole cave"
More monsters attempt to reach out to her from every direction.
Marigold-"Holly skill: holly water barrier"
Marigold creates a small dome around herself to protect her from the monsters. The monsters grab the basketball sized dome and it begins thrashing around through the sea of monsters.
Marigold-"This is terrible, these monsters must have already started attacking Adam and Elise who were already injured. And I doubt Joe could hold off this many of these monsters"
Marigold's barrier keeps getting tossed around inside of the growing sea of monsters. She jostles around inside of the sphere being knocked side to side.
Marigold-"Ow! Ugh why can't I just fight some monsters my size for a change? Water skill: continuous water jet"
Marigold shoots a beam of water that passes through her barrier and launches her and her barrier upwards through the monsters. After a few seconds of bouncing through the hoard she reaches the ceiling of the cave.
Marigold-"They are only a few feet away from the ceiling! They'll fill up the whole cave in no time!"
Marigold looks around.
Marigold-"I don't see the others! They need my help, but do I find them in this mess!?"
A monster jumps out of the growing mass of the monster hoards and reaches for Marigold. Marigold prepares to counter attack but the monster is pulled back down and torn to pieces by what looks like a small wood chipper.
Marigold-"What?"
One of the robogolems climbs out of the sea of monsters. The two fore arms of the robogolem are wood chippers made out of the same super durable graphene as the rest of its body attached to its elbow.
Marigold-"That's Julius's golem!"
Multiple monsters grabs onto the back of the robogolem. In response the robogolem spins the wood chipper to face backwards and pulls its arms back to tear apart the monsters behind it.
Marigold-"If Julius's robogolems are here then that must mean-"
Monsters from every corner of the cave begin launching into the air. In one corner there are hundreds of slashes tearing the monsters to ribbons. In another corner a beam of plasma has burnt dozens of monsters to ash. In the next corner the monsters had all of the dark magic in their bodies forced out of them. And in the last corner a barrage of arrows tore through several monsters.
Marigold-"Everyone else is up, but where is-"
Julius flies up and appears in front of Marigold's barrier.
Julius-"Sorry I took so long"
Moments earlier when Damion and Marigold were fighting the main monster.
Voice-"I have analyzed a key weakness of your prison bubble"
Julius(in his head)-"What is it?"
Voice-"Whenever an attack is made against the bubble, that area becomes denser to account for the extra force. However, this makes the opposite side of the bubble weaker for a fraction of a second"
Julius(in his head)-"So if I attack multiple sides at once I can escape?"
Voice-"The weakness lasts too short. The split second between attacking and accelerating out of the bubble would take too long and the bubble would regain it's strength"
Julius(in his head)-"So what part of that is a 'key weakness'?"
Voice-"The bubble makes this change regardless of the strength of the attack. Meaning that every time Joe attacks the bubble the side opposite of the one he strikes gets weaker. The instant he strikes the bubble you need to use particle accelerator to break through the other side"
Suddenly the main monster strikes the ground. This caused the thousands of monsters to begin pouring into the room.
Julius(in his head)-"Joe, I know you can't hear me but strike the bubble again! I have to time this just right"
Joe-"Open up! We need your help Julius so get out of that stupid bubble already!"
Joe begins to strike down with the arrow in his hand.
Julius-"special skill: particle accelerator"
At the instant that Joe's arrow hits the bubble Julius bursts through the other side. The wave of monsters floods past him carrying Joe away.
Joe-"Agh!"
Julius-"I've got you Joe!"
Julius quickly changes his light speed trajectory to begin piercing through and destroying the several monsters that had a hold on Joe.
Julius-"Support skill: stamina recovery, support skill: strength boost, support skill: speed boost, and support skill: durability boost"
Joe has a wave of power wash over him and shoots ten arrows in front of him pushing back the wave of monsters from hitting him.
Julius-"Now to help the others!"
Voice-"You're mana is low, once you use the support skills on everyone you will only have a little bit left."
Julius-"Then I'll make the best of it!"
Julius dashes around the room piercing through hundreds of monsters in the process. He finds Adam, Elise, and Damion in different sections of the room. He heals them and gives each of them boosts to continue fighting.
Julius-"Where is Marigold?"
Voice-"The top of the cave, she has a protective barrier"
Julius-"I'll give her boosts too"
Voice-"You only have a fraction of your mana left"
Julius-"Then I'll make it count! Technology skill: robogolems! Earth skill: golemancy"
Julius creates and animates two robogolems with wood chipper arms. The two robogolems immediately begin grinding away at the monsters and swim to the surface.
Voice-"If you give Marigold your support skills that will be the last of your spare mana. You'll only have enough to keep yourself afloat"
Julius-"Fine by me"
Julius flies upwards through the monsters and appears as his glowing blue dot in front of Marigold.
Julius-"Sorry I took so long"
Marigold-"Julius!? Are you okay?"
Julius-"I'm gonna use my support skills. It's the last of the mana I have so I won't be able to help anymore afterwards"
Marigold-"What? Wait!"
Julius-"Support skill: stamina recovery, support skill: strength boost, support skill: speed boost, support skill: durability boost"
Marigold is filled with power and looses her fatigue. Julius's blue light fades away and his voice gets quieter.
Julius(in his head)-"Without my light and sounds skills, they won't be able to hear or even see me"
Julius-"I'll see you again when this fight is over"
Julius disappears from Marigold's view.
Marigold-"Thanks for the help! We'll win this"
Marigold dispels her barrier and jumps down to the center of the cave where the main monster is. Pieces of the smaller monsters are flying around as the other members of team technomancer dash towards the main monster. The main monster's previously angry face shows an expression of shock.
