A couple of hours have passed and now the cruise ship is nearly to it's destination of Yiltama.
Marigold-"Hey Julius, I wanted to talk with you"
Julius-"Yeah, what's up?"
Marigold-"It's about the battle earlier. Are you okay?"
Julius-"Yeah. Don't worry, I never got hit by anything. Kind of hard to hit me at this size"
Marigold-"I know, but what I meant is. I remember how distraught you were over killing Lucious. So I was worried you'd be upset after we killed that demon"
Julius-"Oh, I see"
Julius floats slightly lower down.
Julius-"If I was the one fighting the demon and not his golems, I probably would have petrified him instead of killing him. Since I'm still not really comfortable with taking a life. But, I'm not gonna be upset at any of you for doing it. I'm sure that lava demon had killed a lot of people before, and he was going to kill more so he deserved to die"
Marigold-"Okay, I just wanted to make sure you were alright"
Julius-"Thanks Marigold, I really appreciate it"
Marigold-"No problem"
Julius-"I can see Yiltama in the distance. We're getting pretty close"
Marigold-"Probably less than half an hour now"
Julius-"I checked with a crew member earlier and they said that the boat is going to have a three day stay at Yiltama before they head back to Eason"
Marigold-"Three days? That should be enough time to find the waterfall I want to see again. Do you know where we'll be staying during the trip?"
Julius-"Well most of the people on board already booked rooms at a hotel there before they boarded the ship. They said they would hand us a couple of rooms too as an additional thanks for saving them"
Marigold-"We certainly all got a lot stronger while on the Kaiju Archipelago. It's probably going to be strange getting back to the mainland. I'm already used to giant monsters attacking us in our sleep"
Julius-"We were never at any risk, we always stayed in an underground tungsten bunker that I would make"
Marigold-"Yeah but them digging down to get to us would always wake all of us up"
Julius-"True yeah, they were pretty ferocious on those islands. It's a shame we were never able to go to the center island though"
Marigold-"I'm sure you could have made it there just fine"
Julius-"Well the center island is reserved for S ranks exclusively"
Marigold-"You have to be S rank level at this point"
Julius-"You think so?"
Marigold-"I figured it was obvious"
Julius-"Well I'm glad you think so highly of me. Right now my only reference for how strong S ranks are is Atlas and Archimedes. I'm certainly not at Atlas's level yet, but I might be about as strong as Archimedes"
Voice-"In your current state, your odds of defeating Archimedes in combat is 40/60"
Julius(in his head)-"So we're pretty even?"
Voice-"Archimedes possesses an ncredibly powerful skill, however he isn't very adept at using it"
Julius(in his head)-"He seemed to know what he was doing in combat. I wonder what skills the rest of the S ranks have"
Voice-"That knowledge is likely public"
Joe-"There you two are"
Joe walks up to Marigold and Julius.
Joe-"It's hard to find the two of you sometimes"
Marigold-"Is that supposed to be a short pun?"
Joe-"Sorry, I didn't mean to-"
Marigold-"Just messing with you. Plus yeah Julius is normally floating around eye level, but my eye level is a lot lower down"
Julius-"As strange as it sounds the two of you almost look like the same size to me"
Marigold-"No need to fib like that Julius"
Julius-"Well it's a difference between a trillion times bigger and a hundred trillion times bigger. At that point the numbers don't matter much"
Joe-"I always kind of wonder what the world looks like to you Julius. Hey you have a size changing skill right?"
Julius-"Yeah, but I can't make you nearly as small as I am"
Joe-"Oh no, I was about to ask if you could make Marigold the same size as me"
Marigold-"Really? I don't think I've seen Julius use a size changing skill before"
Julius-"Actually it's two skills, a shrink skill and a grow skill. I've honestly got so many skills I haven't used some of them in months"
Joe-"Well your evolved skill can do just about anything. It's probably as strong as an ascended skill"
Marigold-"Well, it could be fun being the same height as Joe for a bit before we get to Yiltama"
Julius-"With my size changing skills I just alter the distance of electrons from the Nucleus so there's a limit. But now that I have omni particle control I should be able to add some bosons to increase your mass to equal your new body size"
Marigold-"Good idea, if I weighed the same I would be hopping around like a balloon"
Joe-"What's a balloon?"
Marigold-"Remember those plastic balls of air that Julius made while we were on the Kaiju Archipelago"
Joe-"Oh yeah they had those strings and some of them floated up into the air"
Julius-"Well you ready Marigold?"
Marigold-"Sure, go ahead"
Julius-"Growth skill: grow others. And omni particle control: boson mass amplification"
Marigold glows blue and begins to increase in size. She grows from less than a foot tall to six feet tall.
Joe-"You made her a little taller than me"
Marigold-"Jealous now? Woah"
Marigold looks around and wobbles a little bit.
Marigold-"Suddenly getting a lot taller is a little disorienting. Everything looks so different now"
Joe-"Just wait till we get to a town"
Marigold-"Well Yiltama is home to people of all sorts of sizes. But it should still be a very different experience"
Joe-"Hey Julius, can you make yourself bigger two?"
Julius-"Technically yeah but not nearly enough to make any meaningful difference"
Adam-"Hey guys, huh?"
Adam walks up to them but stops.
Adam-"Marigold how did you get so much taller?"
Elise(mumbled)-"Yeah"
Elise walks up after Adam. She's currently eating a kabob.
Elise(mumbled)-"Ded Julish do somethin wit hi skill or somethin?"
Adam-"What?"
Elise swallows.
Elise-"You know what I said"
Damion then also walks up to the group. Damion briefly stares at Marigold.
Damion-"You're taller"
Marigold-"Pretty cool right? Julius made me taller with one of his skills"
Elise-"How long does that last?"
Julius-"Until she wants me to shrink her back down"
Elise-"Can you do me next? Make me taller than Adam"
Adam-"I veto that"
Elise-"It's not up to you"
Adam-"The gods of the world decided I would be taller than you so that's how it will be. It's simply fate"
Elise-"Alright. Julius make Adam shorter"
Adam-"How dare you suggest something like that?"
Elise snickers.
Damion-"Can you make me taller too?"
Julius-"Why do you want to be taller?"
Damion-"I don't"
Julius-"Then, why?"
Damion-"I was just asking if you could"
Julius-"I mean yeah I can, if you guys-"
Captain(yelling)-"Attention all passengers! We will soon arrive at the island nation of Yiltama"
Julius-"Guess we'll be arriving soon. You guys excited?"
Joe-"I hope they have good beaches there, you guys think I can get a good tan?"
Elise-"We were just on a bunch of islands. Why didn't you get a tan there?"
Joe-"You can't exactly lay down in one spot for a long time on a monster infested island"
Elise-"Well I did"
Joe-"Yeah cause you were making yourself into bait to get the monsters to come after you so you could burn them all"
Adam-"Despite me telling you not to do that multiple times"
Elise-"You're all just a bunch of babies"
Julius-"We'll be boarding the dock in only a couple minutes"
Marigold-"I'm so excited!"
Joe-"Finally we'll spend some time on a relaxing island. With no dangerous monsters in sight"
The scene changes to an underground catacomb on the island. A man wearing a black suit walking down the tunnel. The man stops and turns around. The man's face is made of segmented squares with each square having an eye ball.
