"In a straight line, the distance to the opposite side of Akai is twenty thousand kilometers (12427 miles)," he muttered as he ran. "But that doesn't include the mountains and canyons ahead. According to the map, the safest route nearly doubles the distance. I could still make it within six months… but I definitely won't keep first place."
