[3rd POV]
With the knowledge that Knull was indeed coming, Malzif was not the only place that was in full preparation. Earth was too, hell, they were preparing even more than Malzif was due to their severe lack of defenses in comparison to what Malzif had.
Which is why, after a lot of debating between the various leaders of the countries of Earth, they all agreed to work with Gwen in order to properly protect their home. In return, they offered lands on Earth that could be utilized by their peoples.
Gwen denied that, but instead asked for something else.
The right to utilize the moon as another home. And unlike Malzif, she was speaking of making a city on the moon where both people from her cities, and from Earth itself, could both live on. Making it the first proper mixing of the two planets peoples since the cities of Mars were founded a few years ago.
The leaders accepted.
It was too good of a deal to pass up. As it was a win win for both ends, especially Earth. As it would give them access to new knowledge under Gwen's schools she would build.
The only downside was that she would only allow those that are specifically chosen to go onto the moon. As otherwise it could cause some serious issues for all parties, and nobody wanted that.
But they also decided that it was going to have to come after Knull was dealt with, as there were more important things to deal with than building a city on the Moon. Especially when you have a literal God of the Void coming after you.
Or at least coming after Gwen.
The defenses that Gwen had been focusing on for Earth were absolutely giant, and surrounded the entire planet in a large ring like structure. It was...kind of a pain in the ass to make, due to all the damn satellites getting in the way, and the various companies of Earth throwing a fuss over it.
But they shut up once the public announcement of the incoming threat spread. A threat that made people panic, causing chaos and anarchy in most of the world. That chaos didn't last long once countries started to permit Gwen to help with her androids.
That, and the androids were needed on Earth in order to help keep the rest of the planet safe when the symbiote hive eventually arrived in the next couple of days.
The ring itself was basically a giant forcefield several times stronger than the old one she used when Galactus arrived, around 8x stronger at that. It was large, and not only did it have a force field function, but it was also able to redirect blows and fire out blasts of immense energy back at the attackers.
A perfect defense to deal with the weaker symbiotes.
At least until Knull himself rips through it like it was paper, as Gwen absolutely expects to happen.
So to deal with that part, she had officially constructed around 50 new orbital cannons on Earth, each with enough firepower to level a planet at full power, and guarded by the strongest wards in order to block out anyone who tries anything.
They were placed around the world, including a couple of interesting countries. Most notably Wakanda and...Latveria.
Turns out her killing Mephisto had done more than just give her the mans power, she found. As one day she had been summoned by a man in a suit, and wearing a green cloak. A man that she knew as Victor Von Doom.
He had been attempting to free his mother from the clutches of Mephisto, and had finally gotten to the point where he was certain he could succeed. Only to summon Gwen instead, and get the shock of his life when he was told that Mephisto was dead.
Gwen felt a little bad as she hadn't known about that particular part, as she had thought the woman was released a while ago. So she went out of her way to release her, as well as give her a few boons.
Mostly returning her age, strengthening her magic, and granting her a protection.
Doom hadn't been entirely pleased, but after seeing what she had done for his mother in return for her mistake, the man had dropped it.
The two had even worked together a few times on Earth, when the man needed aid with a few rituals and other scientific experiments. In return she got him to gather a few things for her from around the world as well as in other dimensions.
Basically it was a partnership born of respect for one another.
He was still considered a villain by the Fantastic Four, but they couldn't do much considering all the good he had been doing for Latveria, good that was genuinely improving their lives and not worsening them like they had thought.
He also had been focused more on his people than them, so any conflict that normally would have arisen hadn't. Especially once Gwen had informed him of the oncoming threat, a threat that he had begun to prepare for with haste.
It wouldn't do much, but it would definitely help his country a little bit.
The orbital cannons were all made in order to be have the capability of firing into space, as well as on planet. Unlike most of the others she had created so far. Not only that, but they were made ENTIRELY of magical power, all so she could apply the special trait to them.
A trait that made it so that the cannon would not destroy or harm anything but the invading symbiotes. Basically they were big ass cannons that only worked against symbiotes and Knull, and that was all.
A perfect weapon considering the situation they were in.
Making them hadn't actually been that difficult for her, what was more difficult was getting the lands for it without having the countries throwing a fit over her trying to build them there, even though they are the ones who asked her to protect their planet.
It was a mess as all things political tended to be.
At the moment Gwen was on Earth, sitting in the Avengers tower, which had been upgraded and improved over the years by a combination of Reed Richards, Tony Stark, and Gwen herself.
She had been named a member of the Avengers even if she didn't really involve herself in their matters. Like the little conflict Captain Marvel had with Tony Stark at one point, a sort of "Civil War" moment. One that had never gotten to that point thanks to the situation nearly getting big enough to involve her.
And nobody wanted to mess with the strongest woman in the world. A woman so strong that only the Sentry had a chance to fight, and even that was growing unlikely day by day.
Sitting in the meeting room, she crossed her arms "Are we really having this conversation again? I already told you, I am not going to leave the other universe to rot, I can't even believe we are having this conversation"
"I am not saying we leave them to rot! I'm just saying we should focus more on our-" "Carol, if I was to listen to your words, Knull would gain access to an even bigger source of power, an army of mind control heroes and villains. Heroes like Thor, the Sentry, like the goddamn Hulk. And then once he does that? He would come here either way, with an even stronger army. So no, I will not just "Focus on our world" you fucking idiot" Gwen snapped in irritation.
Carol had been trying this argument for a couple of days now, and it was getting very annoying. Even after Gwen had explained time and time again why it was an absolutely terrible idea.
"But you don't even know if they'll lose! Not only that, but can't you seal off the connection between our world and theirs? That way he won't get through!" Carol responded with her own irritated look, as if she was right.
"Carol, nothing you say is going to change my mind. I have been preparing for this entity for years now, and I am not going to have my plans ruined by some idiot who thinks she knows better. Not shut your stupid ass up, and sit down" Gwen said her eyes glowing as the room shook slightly.
The others just sighed at the interaction, as they were all getting annoyed of this entire situation. As they all agreed with Gwen. Not only because it would make things more difficult, but also because it was wrong morally speaking.
They'd be dooming an entire universe.
And that is something they cannot do.
With Carol finally shutting up, Tony looked around awkwardly and spoke up.
"So...what's the next part of this plan of yours?"
