In the Zennor home reigned chaos. As Samaiel tried overpowering them, the scarred leader looked around in search of any item he could use as weapon as all their weapons seemed ineffective. Their daggers and whips only caused temporary wounds on Samaiel, not causing the harm they desired.
Hidden in wooden floor of the Zennor living room, was an ancient sword, forged by angels of heaven from gold and metal. The sword had immense power and could be used to kill the descendants of fallen angels and was called the "Gleed men Shmaya" which meant "forged from heaven".
During the fall of the angels who rebeled against God alongside Lucifer, the angel who wanted to be above God and who is now called the devil, the sword was taken from heaven.
Amongst the fallen angels, a group separated themselves from the rest. Not wanting to follow the ways of Lucifer anymore but they were already cast away from heaven and thrown down to earth where humans dwelt.
They were the fallen.
They lived quietly on Earth. Refusing to follow Lucifer's orders and evil ways which was to turn humans away from God.
Stealing, killing and destroying. That was Lucifer's routine.
These angels mated with the creatures of the earth. Giving birth to the infamous Nephlim (the Giants).
It was a forbidden union, frowned upon by God. But it was already done.
The among the angels who chose to defy the orders of Lucifer was Ramiel Zennor. The father of Samaiel Zennor. Ramiel mated with human girl and he was also the leader of the angels who set themselves apart from the angels who followed Lucifer.
Ramiel knew the power of the "Gleed men Shmaya" and he hid it to protect the offsprings of his kind. When Ramiel's son was old enough, the responsibility was passed on to him and Samaiel hid the sword in his home. Precisely in the wooden floor of his living room, under a wooden table which was now across the room due to the ruckus in the Zennor home.
As the attempt to end Samaiel's life when on, an unexpected thing happened.
The Gleed men Shmaya glowed beneath the wooden floor getting the scarred leader's attention. It was a golden glow which escaped the thin lines between the planks of wood beneath the wooden floor and the leader, curious and bloodthirsty, used the dagger in his hand to aid raising the plank of wood which was over the sword.
He resisted being pushed around by the movements of the mob as on attack on Samaiel continued but he was also awestruck by the appearance of the sword.
It was looked otherworldly, compelling and exuded immense power.
Samaiel, seeing what the leader had discovered fought more intensely to reach the sword. He had never expected that one day the Gleed men Shmaya would be found by humans.
The leader looked up and saw Samaiel overpowering the mob. A scowl appeared on his face and he quickly attempted picking up the sword but it felt heavy and foreign in his hands and it fell.
Adrenaline coursed through his veins as his eyes were filled with bloodlust. He tried picking up the sword once again and the next thing Michal saw was her husband's head rolling on the floor and a loud roar of victory from the mob followed.
The scarred man had successfully wielded it and made the cut. It was a clean cut and Michal knew it wasn't by the man's power but by the sword's.
The scarred man quickly let the sword fall out of his hand after seeing it had gained him victory.
Michal felt her limbs become weak and her vision become blurry as tears filled her eyes.
Michal wasn't human. She was also a descendant of a fallen angel but her powers were different from her husband's.
She could heal injuries and was very dexterous with herbs. She also had the ability to cause harm using her mind but she had made a promise which was more like a pact alongside her husband a long time ago to never use their powers on humans. The promise wasn't mere words because it was sealed by the supernatural and if broken, there were consequences. Thus, the reason her husband withheld from using his abilities and focused on sheer strength which eventually led to his death.
Michal's mind was filled with questions and regret. "Why did I make that pact?", "Why did the sword glow all of a sudden?". She asked herself.
Ezekiel who was still tied up stared at his father's severed head and unmoving body. The Gleed men Shmaya wasn't supposed to be wielded by a human easily, he thought.
He knew the only reason the mob had victory was because of the sword.
Ezekiel felt his chest tighten and his throat run dry but tears didn't escape his eyes. Not because he wasn't hurt or sad, infact he was broken but since his birth, he barely showed his emotions on the surface.
But right now, he was dying inside. He just just ten.
Seeing Samaiel's lifeless body, the mob quickly threw their torches of fire in several parts of the house, setting the whole place on fire.
The fire spread fast and they quickly evacuated the Zennor home.
Michal who had her feet and hands tied couldn't get close to her son. She knew the fire was going to be the end of them so she said to Ezekiel "Haunt them, haunt them till our spirits finally has peace".
Looking at the eyes of his mother which was filled with pain, Ezekiel nodded his head. He knew he was going to die in the fire but his spirit was going to live on and he was going to make sure all who caused his family pain never have peace.
The fire spread rapidly and Michal accepted her fate, she didn't use her regenerative abilities to heal the burns because her abilities had it's limit. She lay on the floor with her eyes fixated on the ceiling which was already covered with smoke as the fire began to consume her.
Tears fell from her eyes, not because of the harm from the fire but because she couldn't hold her children and husband in her last moments.
She turned to her son and said "I love you" and Ezekiel returned the words. She looked at her husband's body and said the same words but inwardly.
The family was slowly consumed by the fire till there was nothing left but burnt bodies.
Outside the Zennor home, instead of going to their various homes a man from the mob said "The other children might be in that forest over there. Let's go take a look".
They all rallied towards the forest which was a bit far behind the Zennor home.
