Chapter 924 - CH905 Pocket Dimension???

As the two armies closed the distance, the Endless Continent's Laws intervened. A battle of this magnitude would erase mortal life for thousands of kilometers.

Normally, the Laws would shunt such a conflict into outer space. However, with the Demon Monarchs and their legions currently occupying the Blood Moon, the Laws manifested a pocket of space, a massive, isolated pocket dimension.

It was a humane gesture from the planet itself, preventing the Gods from being ambushed by the demons while they settled their internal scores.

The Dark Empire's forces consisted of 200,000 True Gods, bolstered by 500,000 God Tier alchemy puppets and undead servants. On paper, 700,000 combatants seemed formidable, but in reality, puppets without Godheads were energy-draining shells, and undead slaves lacked the Divine Laws of a True God.

They weren't an army, they were a harvest.

…

"Your Holiness, this is a misunderstanding!"

A Peak High God of the Dark Empire stepped forward, his voice echoing through the pocket dimension. He looked toward the four Supreme Gods hovering like silent executioners above the fray.

"We were deceived by the Light Empire! They disguised their agents as Angels to provoke us. We recognize our mistake! We are already withdrawing our legions. The Dark Empire will pay for all damages. We have a common enemy, the Light Empire, let us not waste our strength on each other!"

Lysandra looked down, her expression cold and unmoving. The Great Aetherium hadn't 'stumbled' into this war. Since the Angel of Fate, Caelith, had predicted this outcome, the Great Aetherium and the Castle Lords had been waiting. They weren't just angry about the betrayal; they were annoyed by the Dark Empire's greed.

While the Great Aetherium bled at the Nivara River, the Dark Empire had scavenged two-thirds of the Light Empire Core's territory. They had feasted on the fruits of a victory they didn't earn. To the Castle Lords, these evil-aligned supernaturals were a plague that needed to be purged.

"There is nothing to explain." Lysandra said, her voice a divine toll, "I do not care for the Light Empire's tricks. I only know that you broke the word you had given to our Lord and attacked his forces. That is blasphemy. Only blood can wash away such a betrayal. If you need someone to hate, hate the Light Empire for lighting the fire, but we are the ones who will ensure you burn. After you are 'purified' by the Holy Light, you'll understand the flaws in your ways."

She pointed her scepter forward, "Kill."

…

The Fallen Angel Army, led by Eveline, struck first. Unlike the more disciplined Zodiac God Angels, the Fallen Angels lived for the red haze of slaughter. They tore into the core of Dark Empire's army like a black tide, shredding alchemy puppets and divine bodies with practiced ease.

The Dark Empire's leadership was decimated in seconds. Of their thirteen remaining High Gods, most were overwhelmed by the Great Aetherium's two hundred High God Tier commanders. The divine formation of the Dark Empire collapsed instantly.

"They aren't listening! They just want to destroy us!"

"Escape! Get out of this space!"

The 200,000 Dark Gods turned to flee, abandoning their puppets and slaves to slow the pursuit. They surged toward the edges of the pocket dimension, desperate to return to the Endless Continent, but they hit a wall of absolute power.

The four Supreme Goddesses had joined forces to seal this pocket dimension. The battlefield was locked. No one was leaving.

"Since you won't let us live, we'll take you down with us!" A Dark God screamed, driven to the brink of madness, "Show them the Dark Empire never surrenders!"

The counterattack was desperate and tragic. The Dark Gods charged back into the fray, but they met a wall of invincible power. Elite commanders like Mary, Seraphina, Christine, and Auriel, all at the peak of High God Tier, moved through the battlefield like reapers.

In a war where Supreme Gods stayed their hands to act as wardens, these peak High Gods were Gods among men. With every swing of a sword, every flicker of a law, resulted in the fall of a Dark God. The 'pocket battlefield' had become a meat grinder, and the Great Aetherium was turning the handle.
